This letting agent will frustrate your life, I’ve been literally sleeping outside for the past 3 days even when I have my money
This is so embarrassing and disheartening
I did not see this coming💔💔💔💔💔
5 Star Service!
All of the staff at Taylor’s Lettings have been so helpful, friendly and incredibly knowledgable. No question or query is ever too much to ask.
We would especially like to thank Joanne, Sean and Natalie who have assisted with the whole process of us moving into our beautiful rental!
Thank you for all your help!

Yet another Trustpilot one star review!
Unpleasant experience trying to arrange a viewing, thankfully Cardiff is awash with friendly estate agents keen to sell property.

I recently visited TAYLORS SALES AND LETTING AGENTS for the first time, and I must say that I am extremely pleased with the level of customer service I received. During my visit, I had the pleasure of speaking with Saqad Rafiq, who went above and beyond to assist me. He was incredibly helpful and showed a genuine willingness to help me achieve my desired outcome. I am looking forward to continuing to work with him and the rest of the team at TAYLORS SALES AND LETTING AGENTS.
DO NOT USE TAYLORS CARDIFF
DO NOT USE TAYLORS CARDIFF. I moved out 4 months ago and they are yet to update the contract, leaving the new tenant and previous tenant in a dangerous position. I have not had my deposit back. They are unprofessional, disorganised and rude. The new tenants are now renting without a contract or any protection due to their complete incompetence. DO NOT USE.
Absolutely the worst estate agent I…
Absolutely the worst estate agent I have ever used!
They are only professional when they stand to get commission out of you upon renting a property. I rented a flat in watford from Feb 22 to Jan 23 & in the beginning, they bent over backwards to make sure I rented the property & kept asking me for google reviews. I dealt with Jonathan Blye initially. When my tenancy was due to come to an an end, they then became aggressive & incredibly unprofessional. It is clear that when there is no commission to be made, all humanity goes out the window!!!
I was given no notice for when the property was put back on the market. Jonathan claimed he had spoken to me to advise me of the updates & and viewings, but he definitely had not. As he then realised he made a mistake, instead of saying sorry - he then went on to verbally abuse & patronise me because the times he had organised without my consent for viewings did not suit. I complained to head office after he put the phone down on me & was verbally abusive to the point I was left in tears. Head office did nothing & refused to take the matter further. I was simply told that they would deal with it in house which in other words means, they will do nothing!
Saqab Rafiq then took over the viewings who was just as bad! He arranged viewings with possible tenants & simply turned up with them at the door without notifying me whenever he felt like it! There was no 24-hour hour notice & pleaded at the door to be let in. He also informed me that he had heard the conversation between me & Jonathan & told him it was wrong but that I would never receive an apology.
The deposit was the final nail in the coffin as they held onto it unnecessarily. I waited the contractual 10 days after I left the property early to help them out and heard nothing! I had to hound them via email on numerous occasions. They blamed the landlord for the delay, which was a complete lie as i had to contact her myself for proof. I then received it 28 days after I had left the property.
They are a bunch of budget cowboys, to say the least, and they need shutting down!
DO NOT USE THIS BRANCH OR COMPANY!!!!!
Useless
I have never dealt with such an unprofessional, rude and ultimately useless company! If you trust this bunch of morons to sell/ lease your house you need to have you head examined, trust me you would be better doing it yourself... They offer poor advice with little guidance, they are lazy and unresponsive but worst of all they are rude and unprofessional - what more would you desire from someone who is meant to be assisting you with probably the biggest purchase/ most stressful thing you can do in life. Trust me, stay well clear otherwise you will soon regret it!!!
Great for purchases
While I did not rent a property from this agency, I did purchase a home via them. I had fantastic help from Luke Dumburs and Paul Berkley, based in the Stony Stratford branch, who were fantastic in updating me on the situation; asking me for my decisions regarding the design of the new build property; keeping in contact with the developer; and most of all, sold me what was on the tin.
Do not rent from these people
Do not rent from these people. They are an absolute nightmare. From day one they will extort any fee from you they can and when you leave the property they will continue to extort from your deposit. I have been renting in Oxfordshire for 30 years and they are the worst I have experienced. The property management is a nightmare. It took them over six months to fix a leak in the bathroom by which time the water damage was extensive. They do not acknowledge any improvements you make to the property. I fixed a wobbling doorstep, repainted the front door, garage door, and window surrounds as well as the fascia, at my own personal expense, but they extorted £280 from my deposit for some scuffed paintwork and minor damage to a carpet which hadn't had any work done to it despite annual intrusive inspections. They said they would try to keep us as sitting tenants by seeking investors to sell the property to, but absolutely no attempt was made to do this. So pleased to be finally rid of them. Absolute nightmare company.
Overall great experience
After small initial issues with being able to contact Taylors Lettings, things couldn't go any smoother.
Both Ashley and Henry have been really efficient and helpful throughout the process. They kept in regular contact with me and were happy to answer all questions and explain the process. I'm really impressed with how the initial hiccup was turned around and how the gentlemen restored my trust in Taylors. Thumbs up.
Avoid Taylors at all costs
Carter: I like the flat, if you clean it and fix this list of 6 items, I will take it
Taylors: We need money from you
Carter: No worries, can you confirm the flat will be cleaned and the list of 6 items fixed before I move in?
Taylors: Yes ..... money please
Carter: Can you put it in writing?
Taylors: No .. but you can trust us .... give us money or we will give the flat to someone else
Carter: I can move in two weeks time
Taylors: You need to pay from next week
Carter: But you won't have time to fix the 6 things
Taylors: We promise we will - money please
Carter: I am paying on the condition that the flat is cleaned thoroughly and the list of 6 items fixed before I move in
Taylors: Give us more money, plus you have to sign this inventory saying everything is perfect
Carter: Paid, on trust that the things I have signed for are fixed (including the broken smoke detector and fire alarm, which is a legal requirement and you have made me sign is working when we both know it isn't)
(Moving in day)
Carter: The flat is not cleaned and none of the 6 things are fixed, including legal minimum requirements
Taylors: (no reply)
Carter: Can you answer my questions please?
Taylors: (no reply)
Carter goes to the branch: Please can you explain when these things will be fixed, obviously it is now too late to clean the apartment because I have moved in.
Taylors: You need to report these things to maintenance, this is nothing to do with us now that you have moved in. We can only discuss matters which were raised before you moved in.
Carter: But these are all matters which were raised before I moved in.
Taylors: Can you show us in writing?
Carter: No ... your refused to put it in writing, assuring me I could "trust" you and pay a lot of money to you.
Taylors: This is nothing to do with us, you need to approach the landlord via the maintenance app
Carter: But you are the people who agreed to my terms
Taylors: Tenants don't dictate terms, the landlord does
Carter: So why did you agree to my terms if you are not able to?
Taylors: We can't help you, this needs to be reported to the landlord who will consider the list of 6 items
Carter: This is not what was agreed
Taylors: More money
Carter: Not until you fulfil your end of the agreement
Taylors: You signed everything was in good order, including the fire and smoke alarms, and the cleanliness.
Carter: On the understanding that I could only move in if I signed the incorrect inventory
Taylors: Not our problem ... give us more money
Carter: (reports list of 6 issues to landlord via the maintenance app, three months later .......... silence from landlord, silence from maintenance app, silence from Taylors).
UPDATE: Upon leaving the apartment, Taylors decided to keep the whole deposit, even though we left the apartment far cleaner than we found it. They claim we stained the carpets (WE ACTUALLY CLEANED THE PREVIOUS TENANT'S STAINS), they claim we put nails in the walls (we didn't!!!), they claimt he oven wasn't clean (WE CLEANED IT THOROUGHLY WHEN WE ARRIVED AS IT WAS COVERED IN FOOD DEBRIS, LEFT IT MUCH MUCH MUCH CLEANER THAN WE FOUND IT), claimed we didn't clean the fridge and freezer (outright lies), claim we stained a wall (WHEN WE CLEANED THE HEAVILY STAINED WALLS WHEN WE ARRIVED AND THE ONLY STAIN WE COULND'T REMOVE WAS THE STAIN THEY CLAIM WE PUT THERE), the company is a total disgrace; dishonest from start to finish. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE AN HONEST PERSON.

Shambolic, avoid if possible
You deal with the local agents to view and sign the contract for the property, The inventory is sent by email after you have moved in which is too late, another dept based in a different part of the country deals with repairs. When you leave you deal with yet another drpt in another part of the country and then the inventory when you leave is done days after you have vacated by yet another dept in yet another part of the country. Inventory aren't cross referenced but the one when you leave is done in far more detail than the one given you when you move in. For example and filthy bathroom with cupboards full of sanitary items and burnt candles missed! Missed but on the leaving inventory dust on the mantlepiece picked up. None of the dept talk to each other and none get back to you either. 18 days after moving out still no response about my deposit. Avoid this agency if at all possible, 33yrs of renting and worse agency I have come across

Highly recommended Taylor’s Estate agents in Hitchin for selling your home, the whole team where amazing from start to finish couldn’t do enough for us at such a stressful time.
Incompetent and disorganised
Slow staff, very impersonal, made moving that much harder.
After seeing a property on rightmove we contacted Taylor’s in the middle of August 22. They said they would be in touch and never contacted us. We rang a further 5 times, offered to pay a holding deposit and explained we needed to be moved by mid September at the latest, had sorted out finance and checks all ourselves to speed the process along. Each time we were told no one had taken our details and never contacted. Today (October 4th) I have just received my first phone call from them asking if I’m still wanting to move.
Aylesbury & Bicester - Answer your damn phones!
Over the past 6 weeks or so we have seen several properties advertised on zoopla or rightmove from Taylors that we wanted to ask some questions about and book a simple viewing.. Sadly, it feels that the staff at the Aylesbury and Bicester branches simply do not exist. We have called multiple times across the weeks and even several times a day and each time no one picks up. Given how fast the property market is moving currently naturally you want to pester them to just talk to someone. No one ever returns calls, no one ever answers emails or messages. By far the worst estate agents in the area due to this fact and lets be honest, the bar is hardly set high within this sector but the basics are just not there.
Taylors Cardiff Bay letting landlords down
I am one of those landlords who feel totally let down by Taylors for not informing their customers about the proposal at Victoria Wharf to ascertain support for RTM. If my wife wasn't on Facebook, we would have no idea that such an important change was being considered. I've emailed Taylors three times, and phoned them twice and have yet to get a response from anyone. First call, no answer, second call no answer, left voicemail requesting a call back. That was four days ago, and still no response.
Not only are they failing their customers by not informing them of this proposed fundamental change to how our apartments are managed, they are also displaying a shocking level of customer service and complete disregard in not responding to enquiries on this matter.
Failure to assist tenants of Cardiff development from bankruptcy
I am writing this review as I am one of the tenants of a large development in Cardiff Bay area who are experiencing an abundance of problems with the company that manage our site, namely Firstport. We are one of hundreds of developments that having what is regarded 'unsafe cladding' and we need to get this resolved as quickly as possible, but Firstport are dragging their feet and are charging us well over and above that of comparative managing companies. We are therefore looking to self-manage or find a managing comany that charge a lot less. We know there are several around as we've done our research.
Unfortunately, the delevopment I reside in are mainly occupied through letting agents, such as Taylors and we have been in touch with them and asked if they would be kind enough to contact their clients to ask for their support. We have been told any times they are happy to do this, but after many months are still waiting.
This is my reason for naming and shaming them as without them and other letting agents' assistance we will not be able to change the management of our site and some people are going bankrupt because of the astronomical charges. We do not see that we are asking for anything big here, just a generic email being sent to their clients, as this would mean a potential large financial gain for these clients and is therefore to their advantage to be made aware of the situation.
Smooth and easy move
Ali made our move really smooth and easy, having everything being done online made it very accessible and simple to use.
