Trip - TD Active Croatis Walking Holiday.October 2018
This was my second trip with Travel Department, and like before i could not find fault with the holiday. All transfers, and activities were well planned, each afternoon, before we finished the scheduled activity, we were briefed on what was in store for the next day, and there was walking groups tailored to whether you wanted a leisurely medium or fast(ish) walking pace All hotels we stayed in were excellent also.
I have already booked for my next adventure..

Our walking holiday in Croatia was wonderful. The guides were kind, very well informed and unfailingly helpful. The trip was very well organised and every day was a series of little treats. Croatia has so much to offer in terms of scenery and is spotlessly clean. We met some great people on the trip and had some great days out. Well done to all!

Wonderful and Exciting Transylvania
Recently back from a five day TDActive spell in Transylvania which was brilliant from start to finish. Each town unique and the accommodation and 2 x dinners included of a very high standard. Fresh breakfast each morning. The hike to the Carpathian Mts although 6 hrs was beautiful and only a little difficult in last climb. Each day different with atmospheric castles and towns and Bear Sanctuary. Go. Christina is a brilliant guide, Christian an experienced and helpful trek guide and Mariana a great driver. Always on hand to be helpful and informative. Romania is very inexpensive and you are sure to enjoy it. Our group mingled very well and being a solo traveller everyone jelled and had fun.

5 day trip to Explore Transaylvania
I went on the 5 day trip to Explore Transaylvania in October. I would highly recommend this trip. Here are the pros and cons
PROs
- A lot packed in to the holiday so you are never bored. Plenty of variety from exploring the sites of the city of Brasov to hiking up in the mountains.
-The tour guide Christina was excellent, always willing to help and very knowledgeable about the area.
-Great accomodation.
-As the number on the trip was fairly small (23 people) you got to know everyone and they were all very friendly. The smaller group makes it more suitable for solo travellers.
CONs
-None
One thing I would suggest. For the hiking trip I was glad that I broguht my walking pole. It helped quite a lot. So I would recommend bringing one if you can. There is a few stalls at the cable car station up to the start of the hike that sells them. So you could always buy one there.
Finally, I would say, Give this trip a go before the region becomes more established and overrun with tourists.

Wonderful experience
Wonderful experience, food was delicious, accommodation was faultless. Christian, the walks guide, was competent and professional, but the star of the tour was Christina. She just couldn't do enough for you.
Excellent, would recommend to anyone who wants a holiday that is out of the ordinary.

Austria unforgettable
Austria scenery is unforgettable, perfect holiday for walking. Walking in Croatia.
This was a well organised and very enjoyable walking holiday.
Croatia is a beautiful country and the experience of visiting and walking on their beautiful islands really enhanced the holiday. The local guides where friendly,very well informed and knew the walking terrain well.

Danube bend walking holiday.
Excellent hotel with indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzi, sauna etc. The hotel owner was very attentive and gave us enjoyable extra experiences at low cost. The tour guides took great care of everybody on interesting walks tailored to our various abilities. They gave us a good insight into their country.

Transylvania photography tour
Recently went on Transylvanian photography holiday and the itinerary was well layed out and the guide could not be more helpful, tutors were knowledgeable and extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for everyone. A fantastic experience from start to finish

From start to finish our walking holiday on the Danube Bend was excellent. There wasn’t one hitch. The hotel was lovely and the pool area was a dream after our walks. Couldn’t praise our 3 guides enough...Gabor Lazlo and Robert. Every single day we had such interesting walks. We would highly recommend this tour.

Visegrad is a beautiful place with…
Visegrad is a beautiful place with great walks. Guides were great, very informative and helpful. The Visegrad Hotel was very good and organised extras like goulash in the woods and a boat tour on the Danube. When we were leaving Tibor, the owner, even provided sparkling wine and cake for free. Great holiday.
