Had the box as a gift initially and loved it, nice to have a surprise and a cozy treat arrive in the post. Recently then ordered a box as a gift for a friend, who told me they loved it too. I had put the wrong delivery address by accident but customer service sorted it within 24 hours so the parcel arrived to the right place and on time. Really pleased!

Absolutely awful service/product - I subscribed to a 3 month book subscription for a present.
We have only received one of the three deliveries started in January. I have emailed & had no response.
AND then was sent a 'rate us' email, stating we have received our orders, which we haven't!!
A very disappointing experience, I hope this gets sorted ASAP, cannot just take money and not provide a product!!

Great value and great for getting to read things you might not usually pick up, to discover great new reads. Snack and drink along with the book, bookmark and post card is great value for subscription price. I look forward to receiving my box every month, highly recommend

I love receiving a new book every month and the little extras in the package make it extra special. I have even subscribed as a birthday gift for someone, as you can make it quite personal.
Spot on with genre choices.
I would give 5 stars but one parcel arrived with a damaged, tatty book and they wouldn’t exchange it as it was still readable. Not good if this had been part of the gift subscription.

Great customer service, had a few issues that TeaTime Bookshop went the extra mile to rectify. My wife looks foward to receiving her books every month along with a hot chocolate drink.

What a fantastic idea, what can be better than curling up with a good book and added tea and biscuits? I've not been a member long but so far the books sent have been really good, un put down able. Something to. ooh forward to each month.

Book was damaged. Overpriced for what you get. Book costs only £7.99. Two biscuits? Seriously. I should get a whole pack for the price of this subscription.

Had an issue with a duplicate book received on a subscription - resolved within a couple of hours, very polite and professional, and one happy customer, thank you!

Lovely online shop - love the idea of a book subscription! Bought some gorgeous pencils. When my item didn't arrive as expected I queried it and my order was dealt with in record time. Not marking them down for the initial error, mistakes can always happen, and they dealt with it perfectly.

All books have been interesting reads that I’d never heard of but loved each one’s story! Packaged nicely with different brand of hot chocolate to try each time. Books matched genre well whilst exposing me to new authors

I’ve used Tea Time Bookshop before and had a really positive experience. I bought one of their book subscriptions for my mum and she genuinely loved it so I ordered the Book Lover’s Gift Hamper Best Seller Lite for my grandmother for Christmas expecting a solid “bestseller” pick and a nicely put-together gift.
I’m really glad I checked the box before giving it to her, because the book included was “Christmas Fling: is a fake boyfriend really just for Christmas?”, which just wasn’t what I was expecting from something marketed as a “best seller” hamper (and definitely not the kind of book I would have chosen for her). Unfortunately that meant a last-minute rush to find another present right before Christmas, which was stressful and a real shame. I do accept that they cannot get the perfect book for every customer but this felt far off the mark.
To be fair, Tea Time Bookshop processed my refund quickly, which I appreciate. However, I’m still out of pocket by around £10 in delivery/return postage, which is frustrating given the issue wasn’t my fault.
Value-wise, I also think £39.99 (plus postage) is steep for what’s included (a plastic cup, tote bag, one book, a couple of tea sachets and a couple of biscuits). I was happy to pay for the convenience of having a gift sorted, but in hindsight it didn’t feel worth the price.

The box always arrives in perfect condition, I get the hot chocolate and the mystery book so that I would read things I might not normally pick for myself

Monthly subscription purchased for my mother who lives a distance away. Reliability was good at first but then starting missing months and intervention required to replace missing books.
Book choices OK but delivery reliability poor. Will not be renewing.

The money went out, nothing turned up and no response to emails etc. One disappointed wife this Christmas.....

I have been a customer for a few years and was very disappointed when I received my subscription renewal charge, only to find out it was £10 higher than if I had cancelled the renewal and resubscribed.
I was prepared to swallow the cost of them removing the pre-loved book option, but that appeared to be a blatant attempt to charge current customers more and hope they didn't notice.
Also, during the last subscription, I had two problems with delivery, where I had to email TeaTime Bookshop, as the book had not been sent out.
When I first started with the company, they were amazing but unfortunately standards have dropped dramatically. This is such a shame as the product is really good and I enjoy receiving the books every month. Hopefully, they will get back to putting customers first. I will just set a reminder each time to cancel my subscription at the end of the term and rebook it for cheaper on the website.
