Greedy and lazy
They did not actively search the market for a better deal than what they offered me. They just offered a renewal of the policy I already have and on top of it charged me a "management fee". I spent 10 minutes of my time and found a policy with half the deductible AND 20% less cost. Greed and laziness has set in here.

Tech Insurance USED TO BE a local Texas…
Tech Insurance USED TO BE a local Texas outfit, with real people you could easily talk to. Since then, they've been gobbled up by the behemoth Insureon, with resulting degrades in accessibility and service.
I used to get custom insurance documents from them directly, had my own assigned person there, and could easily reach them. No more. Now it's some hard-to-reach man in Chicago that couldn't even get an upgraded policy quote in 2 weeks!
And they gave him a cell phone with a Texas number just to fool people into thinking it's still a local outfit.
If I were shopping for insurance, I'd look elsewhere.

I only got one quote from TekInsurance
I only got one quote for business insurance through TechInsurance for the Hartford. TechInsurance did not give me a quote for the insurance I purchased from Hiscox. I contacted Hiscox directly, based on a referreral ( not TechInsurance ) and they told me that TechInsurance had contacted them, but I never received the Hiscox quote info from TechInsurance. I ended up just working directly with the agent from Hiscox and got the policy. So I really didn't purchase any insurance from TechInsurance, but somehow they got credit for my insurance purchase, when I actually did all the work getting a quote and buying it.
So I don't feel TekInsurance was that helpful with getting quotes and next time I'll probably just do the research and contact the insurance companies directly for quotes.

Website processing was broken. Most of the process is handled manually via emails.
