What time do they actually close?

I arrived at 3:55 and was met by a thug in a Tesco uniform with his arms out as if he was about to catch an errant toddler. He insisted the store was closed to which I asked what time does the store close and he said 4 o'clock. The banter continued but he would not let me in regardless of the fact that all the signs said 04:00 and he said 4 o'clock. I only wanted a loaf of bread which I would have easily collected and paid for within the time allowed. I did not wish to be in the store after 04:00. They need to start training their staff rather than employing people as "security" who then start attempting to act as a bouncer.

Customer services had no empathy and didn't follow through with a promise.

My son who is an autistic adult had shopping delivered which was covered in a chemical, possibly bleach. A collection and re-delivery was arranged but never appeared. His support staff called customer services to ask why it hadn't arrived and were given no empathy by the member of staff and told they couldn't re-deliver until after 7.30pm that evening when it had been promised for 4pm. My son was left with no dinner needing to order a takeaway. His anxiety was through the roof, from the worry of chemicals on his skin, to not having his routine and not having anything to eat. He was given a £15 voucher for this which only just covered his takeaway. The staff and myself also had to do his shopping as the delivery in the end needed to be cancelled.

a 45 minute wait in the café

I popped into Tesco River field, Bedford today 19 Oct 2024 , for a meal in the café . After waiting for 45 minutes I asked for a refund . The staff , minimal , were all very friendly , however had to send someone into the store to buy brioche buns and that took 45 minutes . The insult to injury was to then to walk past the store manager who was on his knees packing shelves, completely unaware , or not willing to be , of the problems of short staff in the café .

I went into your bloomfield store last…

I went into your bloomfield store last week , I was at the bakery and was going to buy one off your much advertised sourdough loaves , the best before date was the same date I was in the store . When I eventually found an employee he told me the greatest lot off b------t about that the way they are all sold . That guy is in the wrong job he should be a car salesman . I instead went across the road and got one in Lidl's

Home delivery no show + poor customer service

Ordered home delivery costing a little under a hundred pounds - driver no show. App giving no advice. Called customer service who called both driver and store, neither of which picked up the phone. Tesco customer service said we would get a phone call this morning but this had to be chased up, and despite not every item being available - I also didn’t like the number of substitutions- money was taken the afternoon of the non-existent delivery and we now have to wait 3-5 days for a refund.

Appalling lack of service and 3 hours of our life we will never get back. Avoid Tesco home delivery unless you haven’t got enough stress in your life and want to raise your blood pressure!

undealt with complaints

undealt with complaints, failed deliveries, no email so to complain you have to waste and hour on the phone and then get through to a rude, unhelpful person.

Daylight robbery. And breach of retail rules.

Caring service today

This morning I tested positive for covid. I'd also got a large tesco order being delivered today.
Obviously i was concerned about passing on virus.
Usually tesco bring my order into the kitchen and unpack for me.
Today because of my infection the driver carefully unpacked my order in my entrance lobby.
He was a really nice man.
I've always found tesco delivery drivers to be professional and caring. Especially towards those with disabilities.
Thanks again.
Please pass on my thanks to the driver today.

I recently moved to Tesco from…

I recently moved to Tesco from Morrisons and purchased the annual delivery saver pass, what a mistake. I have only been with Tesco for approx. 7 weeks but each week there are between 6 and 10 items I wish to purchase that are out of stock. No longer able to purchase the large size strawberries and grapes, by purchasing two of the smaller size to get the quantity you want you pay more. This may be the plan by Tesco to get more money out of you. Since ordering from Tesco frozen Cauliflower has been out of stock, now removed from range but no alternative provided, this is not an exotic item and it is readily available at all other supermarkets. I have mobility issues so cannot go out to shop and rely on home delivery but Tesco is the worst

Absolutely fantastic …

My experience with my delivery was fantastic.Donna was courteous and very polite, which in this fast paced day and age I'd refreshing to see. Donna is an absolute credit to Tesco and to herself. She is a kind caring and professional person who clearly loves her job. Well done to you Donna and thank you.

Discrimination against teenagers and making 11 year old cry by accusing of stealing.

A few years ago when I was only about 13 I went to tesco with my 2 friends (one was the same age and the other was around 11), my 11 year old friend needed to buy a controller for her console but after we did the alarms went off. this wasn't an issue as the staff said we could go and given our ages we didn't completly understand that going back in would set it off again, we left and i dropped the receipt on the ground (I no longer litter but I'm thankful I didn't throw it away in a bin). we were going to get something to eat at mcdonalds but changed our minds so went back into tesco, the alarm set off so the security man treated us like criminals despite us walking in not out because what shoplifter is dumb enough to re-enter? anyways he made it seem like he would get police involved unless we showed proof of purchase so my older friend stayed with the guard and me and my 11 year old friend who was terrified and crying came with me to pick up the dirty and wet receipt off the ground. about a year later me and another 2 friends were at the toy section playing with a toy that said "use me" on it, you had to speak to it so my friend with a speech impairment had to speak loudly for it to understand. soon after a man comes up telling us we need to leave and i fully believe it was due to us being teenagers. I'm now an adult but I'll never forgot how degrading it felt going here as a kid, one time a staff member came over and even asked why I was there so I told her I was going to buy chocolate so she told me to go there despite me actually looking at the seciton I was at but because I was a teenager she believed I was messing about which I would never do as I was a good kid. Disgusting discriminating teenagers for no reason other than their looks and age.
