I purchased an indoor / outdoor non slip mat. The product was as described, a good price and arrived in good time. The item was packed very tightly, so that by the time it arrived the edges were scuffed and discoloured. While it is usable, is stillnot suitable for a main entrance as. A review made to them for which I gave it 4 stars, was declined "did not meet website guidelines" without any explanation.

Just a bit sad

The Warehouse used to be a staple of NZ culture. I remember as a kid getting excited every time we went but now… The selection of things you actually want to buy is so small. Most of the stuff is out of stock or they only have the unpopular products. I don’t want to shill Kmart but they’re so much better. Don’t think I’ll be back for a long time.

If I could give zero stars I would.

If I could give zero stars I would.
I purchased a 55inch Samsung TV at the Eastgate Store. I paid $63 for delivery.
I was told the TV would be delivered by a proper delivery service as it's an oversized item.
The TV was delivered by New Zealand Post who did not require signature for the item!!!!
So if I was not at home they would have just left it.

I then followed up with with the warehouse (online)who said to take it up with the store.

NZ post driver stated he had never delivered a 55inch TV before and Ziah one of your "customer service specialists" who was so unhelpful states it's not "oversized".
The Samsung TV is great but I will never ever shop at The Warehouse again. I contacted NZ Post and they said it was shocking that there was a "No Signature" on the TV.
I then advised Ziah I wanted to make a complaint. He then said I needed to put everything in an email. Which I had already done! I don't understand why I would need to do it a second time. So ThecWarehouse here is my conplaint. I figured I would go public rather than email Ziah AGAIN.
ZERO stars.

I like to imagine these staff are doing…

I like to imagine these staff are doing the best they can, as are all retail staff these days....

Sometimes though, I just don't think people who get paid minimum wage could care less.

I recently ordered items via 'the market', which of course is just some sort of weird front for The Warehouse here in NZ.... So some items came from a specialist small business, and arrived within two days of the order, impressive given the current times and thank you to that supplier for being awesome.

The single item that was to be fulfilled by "The Warehouse' was still sitting at 'confirmed' status a week later. Do you think there is a phone number you can ring, no.. no phone number, so you email. You get an automated response and then wait 24 more hours to get a vague reply saying due to covid there are delays. At this stage, it has been 8 days since I ordered a packet of razor blades (not a swimming pool or an outdoor furniture setting)....

Another day and another email, in this one telling them to just cancel the order, so despite trying to avoid going to places where covid is probably everywhere, it seems nz retailers are so inept that online shopping is just an exercise in both futility and stress. It took more emails to actually get the damn razor blades to move from 'confirmed' to 'despatched' and even then it took two days to arrive from Auckland (900kms away)... is there not a warehouse capable of fulfilling a local order? This decentralised model of online fulfilment is a joke, you wait too long, you get multiple parcels arrive, you are tracking god knows what on whichever courier company - whoever is running the Warehouse's online program needs to do some research - even briscoes does a better job.

So... it's very clear if you want something from the red shed, just go to one and buy it, the staff may try hard to be good and friendly at the front-line, but they are inhibited by ineptitude and poor organisation everywhere. Taking a week to dispatch a box of razor blades is just laughable, and in future I'll just buy them at the supermarket like every other idiot who pays too much for razor blades.

NEVER SHOPPING AT THIS STORE AGAIN

Xmas was disappointing this year thanks to The Warehouse who would not let me exchange or return an Xbox game (battlefield 2024). I bought this game 4 hours earlier and wanted to exchange it.

Apparently, they require a test to be done on it to make sure I didn't burn the disc. The test can only be done by a specific employee and only when she returns from holiday. I have never heard of this in my life. Eb games doesn't do this. It states no where on their website or on the receipt nor did an employee warn me of this before I bought it.

I told customer service this, and after the representative searched the warehouse website for ten minutes trying to find this policy, she stated it falls under the category of cd's. It is a terrible policy that cost someone a present this year. I am never shopping at the Warehouse again! I had to leave the game there for it to be forensically tested. I'm in the twilight zone.

So, they took my money and the game and I came out empty this year. It was an hour before close so I thought I'd be in and out "worry free" returning it and I'm left worse than I went in.

An excellent online company

Wire spiral binders ordered and paid for online. In the response email it gave a number to call if you needed a delivery sooner than quoted. We did. I called them and for no extra cost delivery arrived next day. Excellent. Representative was very polite and helpful and gave me every confidence my goods would be delivered in time. Will definitely use in the future. Thank you the-warehouse.com.
