Great fitting rugs for the heavy horses and they do broad sizes too, would highly recommend these rugs,

Quick service and lovely rugs , just wish there was more choice of colour in the weights .

Customer service won't give me a reason why their Small and Medium Epic Rider Team Jacket measurements are the same.
I have asked 3 times for measurements of XS,S & M so I can see if one is mislabelled and also so I can send back and order correctly next time.
They side track with a reply that has nothing to do with my request, all I want is the measurements!
5 days on from my last email asking for measurements I've still got no reply and left with two jackets that measure the same.
For anyone else wanting to know measurements of these jackets before they buy and don't end up in the same situation I find myself in - Medium and Small measure the same -
23 inches chest
30 inches long
Both have very long arms measuring from the armpit 22 inches to the cuff.
Very disappointed with what seems to be a reasonable request from The Big Horse Shop…………..

Yes, I did receive measurements but only after I left negative feedback on your website and here on Trustedpilot.
This you have now removed from your website, if negative feedback when given is removed by you then yes I would expect to only find positive feedback on your website!
Attached below is the photo I forwarded to you and I’m still puzzled why you think there is a clear difference, I can see I didn’t pull the left hand side down but you can see the right side length measures the same and so does the chest and arms.
The measurements given eventually by you where only 2cm difference between each size and you allow for mass production error of +/- which is why my size S and M jackets measure the same.
If I follow your sizing from your website it is misleading because normally there is 2 inches between sizes not 2 centimetres.
I have repeatedly asked to return this item at your cost due to manufacture error but again you have not responded to my request except told me to follow your return policy but you did take the time to defend my review below.
It’s such a shame this is the only way I can get my simple, fair requests from you.
For any future buyers that would like to buy this jacket, which is very nice but the sizing is a miss from other brands you may wear.
This is the email from them with sizing, their child’s 13/14 is more like an adult size 10 which would probably fit me perfectly.

“The measurements of the Epic Rider Jackets have been taken of the back length (top of the collar to the bottom of the Jacket), Chest and Under Arm length. As with all mass produced items there is a +/- tolerance.

13/14 Years - 67cm, 50cm, 49cm

XS - 75cm, 55cm, 57cm
S - 77cm, 57cm, 59cm
M - 79cm, 59cm, 61cm”

To ask me to return at my cost and have another size send again at my cost does not seem fair, but if these sizes were clearly labelled on their website then its my error but with this information customers can buy correctly first time.
I do hope future customers read this before they buy so they can get the correct size for them.

Getting rugs for shire horses is extremely hard and when you find one they can be very expensive. I purchased this 7 ft wide fit rug in the big horse shops sale. My shire is tough on clothes so it has to be good quality. Very well made but expensive. He needs a 6,9 ideally but I can never get one of those.
With my budget I can’t be fussy but can I say I wish there was a choice of a plain colour and not the loud patterns. It cramps my horses style :)

I have bought several items from The Big Horse Shop. Not only are their products high quality but their service is second to none with fast delivery. I recently ordered a rug which was not in stock, received a telephone call offering an alternative and received the parcel next day. I would certainly recommend their rugs for broad horses as they fit my chunky cob better than any other brand. They are attractive, well constructed and come in a variety of weights to suit all requirements. Their riding wear is also very comfortable and well fitting.

Purchased a lovely, good quality headcollar and lead rope that can be fastened on both sides with strap or clip fastening. Also have a number of their rugs and they are brilliant.
