I believe in the service but feel lost in it all and need more help.
I love the idea of the service. I truly want to move forward with this idea. It sounds simple and all when explained to you but I feel like I need to take courses to go further. I haven't really gotten to know the blog press much because I feel stuck.

On that note, blogging can be more involved than many people first suspect. There is a lot to learn about writing, managing a blog, social media, making money... The list goes on and on.
That's why we are here to help answer all of your questions and get you pointed in the right direction.
The best recommendation I have is to master one new skill at a time. Learn to write and publish content first. Then learn how to promote that content, and then lastly, figure out the money side of things.

Love Blogging

Helpful but site organization could be a little better.
Pretty easy to navigate the steps and instructions but the pages for learning and the pages for managing your blog can get a little confusing getting back and forth. Overall a very good experience thus far.

More complicated than expected
Seems ridiculously complicated. Yes, they are there to help but I can't seem to get much done without asking for help. There are tutorials but I am not sure they are helping. There are a lot of parts to setting up a blog and I have no idea if I need any or all of them. Then I am suppose to go somewhere else to add my picture, which again is complicated. Also icons and there isn't anything there, there are themes but none seem to fit me and I don't know if I need a theme or can make my own.

In this case, I recommend following the 90-Day Blogging Success Training in order. If you just try to go into the WordPress dashboard and "figure it out", you will just end up more confused. That's why we offer the 90-Day training - it takes you step by step through everything you need to do to create a successful blog. And, don't worry about the "90 Day" part, you can take as long or as little time as you need.
We will be happy to recommend a theme for you and help get it set up. Just open a new support request and maybe include a few websites that you like so that we can point you in the right direction. :)

I feel your frustration, but we do not offer in-person training. BlogPress a blog hosting company, who also provides training via email, video, and online courses. We also provide one-on-one, personal support via email.
It sounds like you may need an in-person coaching program. Please understand that you will not find that for $14.95 per month. The cost for a program like that is more likely to be several hundred to several thousand dollars.

I chose to work with BlogPres because I thought it would be easier to get the help I need to get off the ground,
I am a pretty smart guy, but I was having a heck of a time finding the help I needed to really get going.
So, I focused on writing my first ten blogs, which I have done.
I chose a theme, but not sure that it is the best for what I am doing.
Now, since I started, we had a baby at 32 weeks, so i am more crazy thank usual.
I just really want to make a go of this.

Focusing on your first 10 posts is the right answer. The theme etc. can always be changed later, so there's no rush on that. This is definitely a progress over perfection sort of business. So long as you keep chugging on the things you do know, and the rest will come... :)

Poor customer support structure
Being restricted to email only makes it very difficult to make acceptable progress when you don't know what you don't know. For problem solving email work fine, but not for coaching / mentoring.

I just signed up. It's been under a month but it hasn't been as easy as I thought it would be to figure out. I'm still trying to figure out the customizing and add ons for my blog.
