Non-existing customer service
I have placed an order online more than 3 weeks ago, I got an email straight away to say it has been dispatched, but when I go to Royal Mail it says that it hasn't been given to them. I can't get thru to anyone and they are not answering emails. Absolutely shocking customer service.

I am utterly disappointed with Body Shop
I recently ordered from Body Shop (about 3 weeks ago) and I am shocked. I don't normally order from Body Shop but on this occasion I was very busy and needed this product as gift for a relative. When I tell you I still haven't received my product I am not kidding like it's been almost a month where's my product??? I understand that there may be shipping delays but that's no reason for a singular product to take 3 weeks to arrive to me. I even tried to reached out to Body Shop directly via E-mail but it's no use they still haven't got back to me. The customer service is pathetic and I don't recommend ordering from them. Their shipping is dreadful and they have the audacity to send you an E-mail saying you order has been dispatched with a useless link that take you to Royal Mail tracking but it's pointless as all it says is that they are waiting for the package to arrive from the sender. I feel helpless and most definitely will be requesting a refund.

Missing items 😞
Missing items 😞, tried to contact via online chat which was offline but according to their website it was available. Emailed which didn't resolve the situation, had to phone. 25 minutes later after being told numerous times to online chat 😡 my issue was finally sorted. What is happening to this company. I worked for Anita Roddick for 10 years and she is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. Such a shame
Awful customer service, shop else where!
I placed a large online order and one of my body butters is a rock hard texture.
I sent an email and photographs for proof for Sonja to reply that the product is correct and that it has happened because the product could have been moved to one side.
I then decided to ring customer service because clearly Sonja didn’t understand what I was on about but what a waste of time!
The worker on the phone told me that this how the vegan body butters are made now and if it doesn’t suit me then I need to return it.
I explained it didn’t suit me because it was faulty and that all the other body butters in my order were fine but she wasn’t having any of it so now I have been left with a faulty item and no chance of a refund!
I cannot get to a store and the worker told me it will cost me to return it by post!
After 18 years of my custom, I will no longer be purchasing or recommending the body shop.

Gone online to get cash back from a walking app (macadam) it’s at 4% but don’t be fooled that’s new customers only no returning customers who are loyal are punished at put at 3% how on earth is that fair. I have a card for body shop but now you’re penalising us nope never coming back to you

The body shop has the worst customer service, I used to like them when they had more physical shops but with all the shops closing down, ordering online is a tereble experience, I had a return order and itbis 7 days already and my account has not been credited, contacted customer service and the say wait another 3 to 5 working day which is extra week, please avoid as much as possible except of course you have a physical shop around you where you can walk in and make your complains.

You are now unable to order online and must go in store. They used to have a coconut milk body lotion that everyone raved about. Don’t they care about their customer’s preference. That lotion was incredible. Everyone dislikes the new lotion and wants the old one back. Who’s with me to bring back the original version of coconut body milk?!?

Sad, just sad
Sad, just sad, wondered why your Company is going down the tubes, well try ordering something online, that's a start.......
Body Shop refuses to give refunds
I bought some foundation from their Barrie ON location. Although they claim that they use only natural ingredients and I was told that the oil in the product was raspberry seed oil, as soon as I put it on my face, I started tasting an unpleasant chemical taste in my mouth. I remember encountering this same taste, years ago, from some other product which I don't remember.
I took the foundation back to the store the next day to return it and get a refund. They refused to give me a refund, and said, "their investors won't let them give refunds." I told them that I would not be buying any of their products again. This is not how you treat customers. No I do not recommend this business.

Bath branch - lazy and rude customer service
Went into the Bath branch of the Body Shop. Was browsing and looking at items as a present. Some items had testers next to the product and some didn't. I opened one of the body butter products (which didn't have a tester next to it) to smell the product. An assistant who was busy chatting to her co assistant shouted right down the store to me that testers are all on the top shelf. She couldn't be bothered to come down and show me the products and where the testers were, just shouted at me. I left and will not be returning, the service has clearly gone downhill.
Vitamin C allergy
I buy the Vitamin C serum 4 days ago. I'm using Vit C from many years, but this time I chose to by from the Body shop, as I see so many good reviews. Unfortunately I made a horrible allergy, at first application. As I never had allergy before, I was thinking maybe may face turns red for one min. and then it will be ok. Today, after 4 days, my face is still red, looking like I have a nasty sun burn. I'm taking allergy tablets but seems like nothing is changing. 😔🤦♀️
Fantastic service at Watford and the grapefruit wash is amazing!
I went into the Watford branch of Body Shop last week. The service from Georgia was excellent as nothing was too much trouble, she explained the different products and her professionalism was great. All the staff at Body Shop do a great job. I have had the shampoo ( which lasts ages), the Peppermint Foot Scrub and the grapefruit hand soap. All great. Let's try and support the Body Shop when we can as I definitely find that the products do last so much longer than the cheaper brands I always go for!
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. CUSTOMER SERVICE NONEXISTENT
Poor quality diffuser costing £26 that doesn't work, poor quality hemp hand cream at £14 that needs 3 applications before I can feel it on my skin - I'm not the only one here complaining about this product. Customer Service?? This company doesn't know the meaning of the word. The staff in South Africa are clueless and scripted and they lie and obfuscate. Yes, they LIE AND OBFUSCATE. And the CEO doesn't reply to emails. I can see myself having to go down the Chargeback route. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
Update - TBS contacted me via TrustPilot to ask for details, so that the authenticity of the review could be confirmed, or it'd be removed in 3 days. I replied immediately. Do you think any contact has been made??

Better to shop in store than online
Products are decent but online ordering not so much. Only a 20 minute window to amend/cancel orders. When I updated my address on the site it only updated my billing address so they are posting my order out to my old address and have told me to take it up with the courier. Useless customer service
hemp hand protector Useless
I’ve bought hemp hand protector for 25 years. The latest batch in new packaging is COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE. They've changed the ingredients (i have an old and a new tube) Its hardly hand cream let alone hand protector. Do not buy.
Unhelpful manager
Hi.
I wanted to let you know, but I’m sure I’m not the first - I can’t be ! About the manager at the Truro store. I spoke to him briefly on the phone ahead of my visit as I wanted to exchange a body spray. It got really condescending and passive aggressive at the same time very quickly. He started to go on about how I should have had a consultation etc ( for a body spray ) and how they are such a low percentage of scent what did I expect. Well forward to my visit into the store the young girl went to get the manager on my arrival and it was the same vibe.
A lecture ensued about the strength of the body sprays and not to expected them to last and if I had had a consultation etc, I bought it on Sunday in your Plymouth store. Anyhow while I was getting this lecture, I replied where I could. But I had completely switched off at this point. It was deliberately made awkward at the translation point as I had redeemed my rewards, but after me re iterating that I would like to exchange the body spray for another him he reluctantly agreed. I went on to say that had the satsuma formula changed as I had since read reviews on the website - to which he said unlikely. I replied with I have just read then and that body shop had replied to some saying sorry etc and words to that effect. He then had the nerve to insult me and say that what I was saying was highly unlikely and that in fact the body shop never reply. I’m not a liar and the reviews for the satsuma body spray for the low star ratings have indeed got replied to.
I work in customer care ironically and this is the polar opposite of what I train my staff to do.
So I just wanted you to be aware, of course I also understand that he will put a diff spin on it. But I can assure you what I’ve typed is the true version of events.
Thanks for reading and I’m hopeful he won’t do it to someone else who could get very upset over the interaction.

Greed Destroyed this company
If you go to their website it will have their dishonest lying message that they are just doing maintenance on their page and will be page shortly, literally says "don't worry". I contacted them and in a single breath said they would have their page back up and running and then proceeded to say they are no longer selling in the USA. So after being bought out and ruining their classic white musk oil, being bought out again and reintroducing it again.(there are three different bottles, the classic round one with yellow oil, a purple one and the last one) I never got to try the last two but from the notes and reviews they ruined an awesome thing after the original owner died. Just like walmart, it was never the same after Sam Walton died. Obviously if a company is willing to sue a mom and pop that had the name first and then bath and body works, they only care about money. That musk oil was literally apart of my identity and many other women my age feel the same way. I should have to vett every fragrance (or any other company) I get attached to in case they turn out to be lowdown greedy cons eventually. We are tired of being loyal to and giving our money to companies that only care about money. The Body Shop USA closed all of its stores and ceased operations online. On 10 March, the Body Shop USA filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation. Just like Burt's Bees being bought out (body shop twice) by big companies that have no respect for the original vision is how you destroy an awesome thing that had been around for quite long time.
Sending things I didnt order
Second time have sent out something I didnt order
If I could rate zero
If I could rate zero, I would.
The worst products I have used in my life.
Their tea tree face cleanser, their vitamin E moisture serum and vitamin C glow moisturiser gave me scars on my face.
My face has also become really dark and I haven’t been able to get it back to its original tone for over 6 months.
Their body wash was an absolute disaster. Gave me injuries on my skin.
I spent a lot of money and my skin became worse.
Don’t buy if you have sensitive skin.
Pricy for nothing.
