No stars in fact somebody should be able to take legal action against this fraudulent company. My husband eventually manage to get payments stopped but he had definitely never subscribed. As other reviewers had said - something flashed up briefly while looking for a radio station. Huge scam!

Conmen

Conmen - identical story as those below. Easier simply to block the payment card and state you’ve lost it and await a new card. I’m due to go to Cyprus in October - maybe I’ll go complain in person.

There should be ZERO stars for this…

There should be ZERO stars for this company and their fraudulent marketing scam, based off shore in Cyprus. My15 year old daughter was scammed by them whilst buying products from a legit website. Their scam popped up at the check out, ticking a box which then could not be unticked, unknowingly for £31.50 taken each month for several months as a “subscription” for no goods or services supplied. These companies prey on the naivety of people. When you call them to resolve, there are no customer services. Nobody answers phone. The only way out is to cancel cards, bank accounts, Apple Pay etc and file a fraud notice. They are scum. Evil.

SCAM Fraud

Total Scam.
Report to your bank ASAP. Do not email them as they send you instructions on how to give them your FULL apple pay number so they can scam you even more.
Just report to the Fraud department of your bank.

The most awful business

The most awful business. I was downloading something else on my browser when it comes up to pay 1p, i pay it assuming it was for the page i was trying to download. There was absolutely no information about this business or any trial. I then see £31 being taken from my account when i didn’t even know. I didn’t sign up for anything and now they won’t return my calls or emails… typical.

Thebooksmasters.com

Company name changed to thebooksmasters.com but still the same scam. In fairness, they did send a welcome email explaining a 2-day free trial, but it went to the spam folder so I didn’t see it. They charged on the dot of the end of the trial period but luckily I had no money in my account! I’ve now cancelled and cancelled the card.

This company is clearly just out to…

This company is clearly just out to fraudulently take your money. You will accep a payment of one cent for a map or something and then without your consent they will subscribe you to them for 31.50 a month! They are simply criminals.

Total scam it’s ridiculous

I also was trying to search something an it came up asking for a 1p payment for a 1 day trial an was taken through my Apple Pay, then they have kept trying to take £31.50 and it only come up as declined due to me always making sure I keep any money in the bank on my other account and only transfer when I need it.
I phoned my bank and explained an they even sent me a new card out so I had a new long card number an security code hoping that would stop them from being able to keep trying to take it again, but then this morning it came up on my phone again £31.50 declined payment for the books master.
It’s ridiculous as I clicked on the unsubscribe a couple of month ago and it actually accepted it, but now when I’ve tried going on to unsubscribe again every time I’m trying to touch the ‘click here’ it’s not doing anything and I tried ringing an the number is the neatherlands and it rings then a automated voice saying over an over again that the lines are busy an someone will answer my call as soon as possible, but then they never do.

Stay away and something must be able to be done about this scam!!

Shocking

Shocking, they are robbers. I didn't sign up for the service but they kept charging £31-50 per month. When you try to contact them to stop it, the phone line just rings and rings and the contact email just doesn't work.

Avoid like the plague.

Scam and fraudulent services

I have never enjoyed reading, never mind I would never subscribe for any online services over a monthly £10.
I have just received an email about having my account and subscription continued which I have never did!

They’ve been taken money out of my…

They’ve been taken money out of my account for a couple of months now, and I’ve NEVER used this service or signed up for this service, so I emailed them asking for my money back as I don’t know who or what they are, they asked for some details off me which I gave and then I was ignored for another month, after the month passed I was charged another £30 and by this point I was not happy at all, so I emailed once again and they said they same thing to me again and asked for my details, then they got back to me and told me someone by the name of “Angelina” had subscribed with my details, I don’t even know anyone called Angelina, this place is a scam and I’m almost certain they won’t send me my money back and im in the process of contacting the financial ombudsman because this site needs shutting down ASAP.
