The FR JL SW store review
The FR JL Poole store samples were clearly marked with prices and brands and home samples provided.
A helpful male and female assisted me on a Sunday and a Thursday store visit. Michael dealt with my order. He kept me informed by mobile and email at all stages and was very helpful with any concerns. The fitters chosen by FR were good, efficient and left the area clean. They helped move furniture and were pleasant. Overall a good service.

We ordered a carpet from the Poole…
We ordered a carpet from the Poole store, we were sent some samples and Poole were able to fit promptly which suited our timetable. We have wooden floor over the rest of the house but would recommend Michael and his team again.

No computer no quotes
Although the staff were trying to assist they were unable as their computer systems were down for more than a week. Phones didn’t work neither did email so the only way to keep in touch was to visit the store in person only to be told it was still not up and running. Staff did ring to keep me informed but this is no way to run a business and detracts from John Lewis reputation. Floor room needs a back up system.

We did have a system outage last week that affected all of our store communications. This has now been resolved and stores are back online.

Nothing was too much trouble for my kitchen floor
I have a difficult kitchen floor and they sent a surveyor and a floor laying expert to discuss the best possible options to deal with the situation. I am now waiting for installation, but I have no doubt that I will be satisfied. They even postponed delivery of the new stand alone cooker to fit in with everyone. I would recommend Michael and his team to anyone.

Wasn't to Be
The store service level was good, both Matthew and Michael were very proficient, knowledgeable and amicable. They ordered 3 samples for us. The delivery arrived quickly however only 1 was available. This spurred us on to look elsewhere where we found that equivalent carpets could be obtained locally at much lower cost, using owner-fitters rather than unknown, subcontracted third parties.
