It was an extending slatted bed base and has enabled me to use an antique French brass bed without the expense of getting a base tailor made. I would highly recommend this company.

Nice item but threaded incorrectly
The item looked ok but I suspect that the thread had been produced with a tapered tap as the threaded bar would barely go into it. Fortunately I had a plug tap and was able to make it good myself but I scratched the outer surface of the brass ball as it spun in the grips I was holding it with whilst correcting it.

We assume it was from our range of replacement brass balls for antique beds, which are sold with difference threads – but I am unsure if you used it with one of our matching threads or not. Do let us know if you have time, then we can make improvements. Gripping the brass balls without protection does make them prone to scratching, but if you get in contact I'd be happy to send another out to you in order for you to have another go with it :-) Thanks so much, Elena

This company is fabulous. We have been trying to find a solution for our lovely antique bed with a horrid base and finally we found these folks. We looked at so many options and they were either horrendously expensive or needed adaption and then we found The French Bed company and that was it. Their customer service is beyond exceptional. Super fast responses and could not do enough to help us. It is rare to find a company today that goes so far above and beyond. You will have outstanding support if you use these guys. Their base fits perfectly and having been talked through all the options by Elena we felt super confident to order. Thank you so much. A superb find 🤩
