With help from TFA and my solicitor HMRC dropped a court order against me and my taxes were paid from capital gain due spending my crypto assets, without help from TFA I couldn't have done this confidently, Richard was very helpful in advising and his previous experiences of people in a similar situation as myself.

I used TFA to help me submit my tax return for CGT related to crypto. I found them reassuring both via the initial call with Richard, and the subsequent email correspondence with Joanne.

I found their rates reasonable and they gave me confidence that I would pay the correct amount of tax on my crypto gains for the relevant tax year in question.

I continue to do business with them moving forward and have no hestiation recommending them.

Together with my virtual assistant, TFA have dug us out of an administrative rut and brought everything right up to date. Hugely valuable.

I have been with The Friendly Accountants for over a year now and I am massively grateful to have them on my side for both personal and limited company taxes. The team are very knowledgable and no question is too novice; they inspire confidence in an otherwise confusing world of rules, deadlines, and caveats. The bonus is that all of the staff are very friendly and reassuring, and admittedly I have quite enjoyed learning the ropes. My requirements include cryptocurrencies which has proved little challenge for TFA, backed by their host of helpful resources, templates, tools, and tips. I would rate my experience 6/5 – the sixth star being for the amazing Claire and Joanne.

Reading through the reviews in advance its hard to understand someone had a bad exp, but i suppose no one is perfect right? For me I can only say good things about TFA. No joke I cant remember all the accountants I've had in my time in business and pers finances. TFA have nailed it for me. The are SUPER efficients, crypto FRIENDLY (that alone makes them rare), they dont do waffle AT ALL.

Now upon reflection as I write that, if you dont like email they arent for you. I was a phone guy, it took me a while to just work on email with them, but it allows them to to just work, which ultimately if what im paying for. And if you do need a call, just ask, but then the call is short, brief, to the point and you both know exactly why youre getting on the phone in the first place.

I love it. It's been maybe 18 months for me, and im super happy. I dont actually know if I can constructively even offer feedback other than as a crypto friendly accountant they HAVE to start accepting crypto as payments.. :)

...but I remind Richard approx every 4 months and I know he's on it.

Big shout out to Joanne to, as she deals with my relentless emails and questions at times.

Working with TFA has been a revelation. After an horrendous experience with a 'big firm' accountants this well oiled small team genuinely give a responsive and helpful service. They make an effort to get to know you and your business and the annual fee is what the other lot charged to do a VAT return! Thanks to Richard and the whole team at TFA - I cannot recommend enough!

I was very worried about a crypto tax issue and the Friendly Accountants resolved it in a quick, easy and pragmatic way. Fully recommend.

I have used Richard and his team now for quite a few years.

His must be the leading UK practice for guiding people with crypto portfolios. I have kept mine relatively simple but even when you accidentally stray into ETH staking, you'll want to find yourself properly prepared.

Personally for the reasonable fees and the lack of stress, you won't go far wrong.

And also the practice is virtual - great communication and an e-filing system each year! As idiot proof as it can be.
