Love this company. The quality of the hay and the topping I opt for is super generous and my rabbits love it! Shipping is fast and the whole buying experience is easy and hassle free. Highly recommend for those that want the best at a good price.

Being a bun mum to a large number of rabbits I have struggled to find a consistently good quality of hay and was recommended 'The Hay Shed' by a friend.
This hay is not the cheapest BUT there is no waste and I hate throwing money away.
My first purchase was the oat hay which was immediately devoured by the majority but not all so, this time round, I have ordered a box of each flavour, meadow, Timothy, oat and rye to see if there is a preference. At the moment it is hard to tell which they like best 🥰.
All the hay is top quality, dust free and arrives boxed. I find that 1 box will fill a wheelie bin.
The downside is that it doesn't last long. Im already on my third box and I only ordered last week!!!!!!

Great quality hay. Well packaged and dispatched very quickly. Guinea pigs absolutely love it. Very happy to have great quality hay for them to eat.

I trialled 3 different hay companies. The Hay Shed won by far because of their simple packaging (no excess), their production and company ethos and MOST importantly, my guinea pigs LOVED IT!

Good delivery and good quality Timothy hay. Bunnies also love the dandelion roots.

My guinea pigs love this hay, it’s the best quality I’ve had from all the brands I have tried. Delivery is really quick too

I’ve been a customer of hay shed for over a year with no issues. The hay from my last order was noticeably different from the previous batches and my rabbits wouldn’t eat it.
I didn’t ask for a return or refund given this is no doubt a small company dealing with a variable natural product. Instead I accepted the cost myself and disposed of 10kg of hay at considerable inconvenience, but simply emailed to ask if they had any of the previous stock available before I re-ordered. The response I received was so rude, defensive and dismissive it really surprised me.
I guess this company is fine when they have good stock (and in fairness to them they are always very swift with deliveries) but are very poor at resolving issues or accepting any liability. For this reason I can’t afford to use them again, potentially wasting another £50 and dealing with the inconvenience of disposing with huge boxes of poor quality hay.
Plenty of information on the website to help me select the best product. Goods arrived promptly and well packaged. Barley straw not over-compressed to fit box, and dust-free.
I’m preparing my garden for the possible return of hedgehogs after the disastrous heatwave of last year - hope they’re as impressed with this bedding product as I am.

My rabbits love the green wheat hay! They eat noticeably more hay when it's on offer and I've even seen them, when they find a particularly good strand apparently, picking it up and running away with it so no one can steal it from them, a paranoia usually reserved for treats. It's long stranded, green and smells lovely and fresh. It's also great that part of the cost goes to supporting the rescue we adopted one of our rabbits from. Please keep producing this hay!
The Timothy hay is also good but I seem to be allergic to it, despite very low dust.

Excellent quality hay, super mix and soft straw bedding. Delivery was beyond my expectations, literally arrived the next morning. I have a crowd of very happy pigs and a happy hamster. Very impressed. Thank you 🙏🏻

The green wheat hay is an absolute hit with all my buns. Even the vet couldn't believe it was hay. I do however have to cut the seed heads off as from past experience with rabbits (I have no idea how) but they do get lodged up the nose or the back of the throat. Its just my preference to do this though as a super paranoid bun mum. However its wonderful stuff and they love it 🙂

Decide to try Hay Shed after struggling to get my bunnies to eat the popular brands of hay available online and in pet shops. I ordered the meadow hay with a marigold and dandelion topper, and oat hay as a treat, and they’ve been demolishing a big pile with much enthusiasm every day. So glad I made the switch, and so glad it comes in massive boxes because we’re getting through it fast! As a side note, if you plan to buy a large quantity make sure you have suitable airtight storage to keep it fresh.

My six rabbits showed a real preference for rye hay this winter after being introduced to it via the local rabbit rescue where I am a Trustee and volunteer. I purchased some from another company but was sadly let down by the delivery service. I looked elsewhere and ordered some rye hay from Hay Shed. The first box arrived, the rabbits loved it, so I ordered two further boxes. The boxes were delivered over two days? The first box contained meadow hay (as identified from the seed heads) not rye hay and the rabbits have shown their agreement and have no interest in eating it. Currently I buy meadow hay for bedding by the bale (not 5kg) for £6.50 a bale, so feel I've been really ripped off. The second box does have have rye hay seed heads but is not the same quality as the hay in the first box I received. Feel sadly let down.

After trying various brands, it became obvious that my rabbits only truly love the Timothy/Rye mix from The Hay Shed. The quality is consistently impressive—lovely, green, and full of the long, strong stems and seed heads that are essential for keeping their teeth healthy.
The subscription service is incredibly user-friendly. We get 15kg delivered in three large, loose-packed boxes at a frequency that suits us, and it’s very easy to adjust if our needs change. I also highly recommend their foraging mixes; there’s a huge variety, and they arriveI in sturdy, well-sealed paper bags. Our buns are currently obsessed with the dandelion roots and hibiscus flowers. We’re definitely staying with The Hay Shed and highly recommend them to all bunny owners!

Very quality hay,my rabbit and guinea pigs love it.

Great quality Timothy and Meadow hay packed securely and healthily in cardboard boxes. Very speedy delivery. I tend to buy very limited plain forage mix and would avoid buying anything with added carrot or fruit. Hay should be the main diet for guinea pigs
