Stayed in AC10 and the apartment was clean modern and totally comfortable.
The welcome pack was of great quality and choice. With local shops and eateries travelling light and flying up would now be an option. We drove up and parking was easy as was check in. Our host was delightful and very helpful.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS highland club!

Do not stay in the highland club Scotland. We paid a lot of money and the apartment was dirty, infested with bugs, nothing worked. When reporting this to Simon canning and father William they refused to refund or repair the issues. We left the apartment early as we broke out in a rash and was highly aggrieved with the complete lack of interest in customer service by these individuals who are the directors of the management company who run this. Don’t be conned out of your money like we was. Loch Ness is a wonderful place but choose alternative accommodation and avoid the highland club apartments!! This is not an award winning resort as advertised it has nothing on site that remotely offers luxury. The kids all ended up with infection from dirty swimming pool, not recommended..

Wonderful vacation spot

This is a quality place, great amenities and beautifully appointed apartments. We often do self-catering but at this price point, this place was superb. Not only was the apartment decorated with quality furnishings, the bathrooms were top notch, the kitchen was incredibly well appointed, but we were also received a welcome hamper with all sorts of food items to get us started or for us not to need to buy ourselves. The management thinks of everything. We only stayed a few nights, so we didn’t get to use all their facilities, but we really didn’t lack in choice. To boot, it was teen approved. Looking forward to returning and staying longer.

Avoid 5 The Brothers Wing

Avoid 5 The Brothers Wing, St Benedicts Abbey, Fort Augustus as the apartment fell far short of our expectations with a damp smell throughout and mould on one of the bedroom walls. Also the apartment is in need of a full refit and generally felt unclean. We found old blood and paint on the bedding and dust and hair around the skirting. The main toilet was loose and moved due to unstable tiles.

The apartment is up for sale by auction so hopefully the new owners will be more attentive as the current wasn't bothered at all by our polite feedback through the agent.

The wider accommodation and grounds are however lovely and well worth a trip.

Another amazing stay at The Highland Club!

This is the third time we have stayed at the Highland Club in Abbey Church 3 and, once again, it has been an amazing holiday. As we were travelling with our 2 young children, we really appreciated how clean and well-equipped the flat was, and it was on the ground floor with great views of the bunnies and ducks. The kitchen had absolutely everything we could possibly need for cooking meals, baking, and cleaning up, and even had plastic plates, bowls, cutlery, etc for the kids. They also provided a crib for our youngest, complete with bedding. Next time we must remember not to bring all this stuff! There was also a very generous welcome basket full of tasty goodies and lovely activity packs for the kids. Our flat also had a big basket of sports equipment with a football, tennis and badminton rackets which was useful. During our stay we also made use of the swimming pool, tennis courts, kids playground, the Club Lounge, and the big barbecues.

Overall, it's just such an amazing place to visit. It's a beautiful building, with stunning grounds and views of the loch, and so many things to do. We all have beautiful memories of our stay there and can't wait til we go back again!

Our family trip to the Highland Club…

Our family trip to the Highland Club this summer was fantastic! We stayed in the Abbey Church 11 apartment, which was scrupulously clean and furnished to a really high standard. A real home away from home! It provided a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with everything you could possibly need, from dressing gowns, slippers, toiletries to all the kitchen condiments and gadgets you could desire. We also had a generous complimentary welcome hamper waiting for us which contained lots of tasty treats & even a bottle of wine! The children also had welcome bags containing toys & books. The attention to detail is really commendable. This was our second visit to the Highland Club. We had previously stayed in Abbey Church 15, three years ago, which was equally impressive.
The views of Loch Ness were breath-taking from our apartment. Our Highland Club apartment gave us an amazing base when we wanted to go for walks around the hills or the loch, or pay a visit to the nearby village. Would also recommend the restaurant onsite called the Boathouse. Clean, great service & tasty meals.
We had a go at some of the fun activities within the site too; we went to the swimming pool, played some tennis on the courts, relaxed in the club lounge and made use of the outdoor barbecues when the weather was nice.
I’d truly recommend a stay at the Highland Club!

Another magical stay at the highland club

Had another wonderful week long stay at the Highland Club. Even though it’s not the first time we’ve stayed here as a family, the building and its location on the foot of Loch Ness never fails to take your breath away. We stayed in AC10 this time and the apartment was spacious and very comfortable - with everything that we needed for our stay. You can tell that the owners have thought very carefully about the items provided in the apartment e.g. the basket in the hallway with a cricket set, tennis and badminton racquets etc. so that we were able to make best use of the facilities on site - that attention to detail carries through to the staff and the way that they went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. I’ll be back again later this year!

Spectacular location, excellent luxury self-catering accommodation

Spectacular location, excellent luxury self-catering accommodation.
The Highland Club sits on the edge of Loch Ness with spectacular views down it. The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard. We found it very well equipped from large screen TV, wifi and printer to every kitchen utensil you could want. They even provided racquets and a generous welcome pack.
There are a number of facilities/activities on site so plenty to do without having to get in your car.
Right on the doorstep of the Highland Club is the village of Fort Augustus. It has retained its village charm and there’s usually some boating activity to watch on the locks that run through it. Just a pleasant place to wander around. Fort Augustus itself provides several places to eat (The Boathouse restaurant on the Highland Club site is very good too).
Strongly recommend the boat trip on the loch (which departs from just outside the Highland club).
We walked along the canal which was an easy, wide flat footpath. Hardly need to say it as it’s the highlands - but lovely scenery. We also walked up one of the mountains (part way); a little steeper but easy enough that young children were OK with it. Again good footpaths.
We took a short drive to Invermoriston Falls. Very pleasant and easy walk through the woods. If you go past the gift shop on your left and Glen Moriston Arms on your right, the Glen Rowan café is just 100 yards up the road. Very friendly, very helpful and will do take-aways or sit-in.

Really wished we had stayed for another week at least and will be back.

Old Benedictine monastery full of Character

We found this location and were absolutely stunned by the building, it’s grounds and all the facilities, it’s all very impressive. Situated in Lock Ness with beautiful views, 2 minute walk to town for pubs and shops. The flight of locks into the Caledonian canal is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by, and we enjoyed a peaceful walk up the canal to the next lock. Plenty to do here. The accommodation was very comfortable, the kitchen was stacked with tea coffee milk cereal pasta everything needed for a late arrival. It’s clean, stylish and spacious. I really enjoyed my 4 day stay and will be coming back next time I’m in the highlands. Highly recommend

What a place to spend your 50th - Fantastic!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment with stunning views onto the hills, Loch Ness and over the Abbey; we could not have been happier with our choice!

The apartment was immaculate, contained everything anyone could need and even had a nice little welcome pack. The staff within the complex were helpful and friendly and, whilst small, the pool, steam and sauna areas were really nice - the booking sheet also meant that we had the area to ourselves, which made it even better.

The Abbey is well located, being immediately adjacent to Fort Augustus, which has enough bars/eateries to accommodate those that do not wish to cook whilst on holiday; and the Loch Ness boat trips are only 2mins walk away.

Overall - Fantastic - Highly recommended!!

Amazing place

Amazing place, beautiful setting for this apartment hotel. We were in apt 3 by the swimming pool church part of the property. The apartment was super spacious with thoughtful decor and neat furnishing. We had a warm welcome by Sarah, who took time to show us around the whole property and also our apartment. The apt comes with dishwasher and a washing machine. I must say they were thoughtful to not just give us a goodie bag but also the pantry filled with basics- milk, butter, oil rice pasta and condiments. We loved that the tv was set up with Amazon and netflic making the cold after evening perfect without hassle to set up our chromecast. The swimming pool is beautiful and since it was a low season we had no problem at using or booking it for the one hour slot every day. The whole property is maintained wonderfully. The playground was nice though weather dint permit us to use to more than once. Sarah guided us to where the shops were. Esp since it got dark when we reached, this little information did enormous help. I would go back everytime we think of going to Loch ness. Highly recommended. The money was worth and enjoyable stay of 4 nights

The Highland Club is an amazing place…

The Highland Club is an amazing place to stay for vacation. It's in an old Abby that has been renovated. The apartment we stayed out was brilliant. Incredibly decorated and everything you need when you are away from home. Abby is walking distance from the town and easy to access attractions and food store. I would highly recommend this property. It's expensive but it is so worth it. The pool on sight is beautiful. We had a lake view. Our FAVORITE to stay on our Scottish vacation. This is a magical place.

Beautiful spacious and modern…

Beautiful spacious and modern accomodation in a astonishing historic building. Lots of extra's upon arrival. Really nice and helpful staff. Highly recommended!
Only downside was the crowded swimming pool. The system of reserving a spot by putting your name down doesn't work without any supervision.
