For the price, it is first rate. Soft yarn, easy to knit with and plenty of different colours and shades.
I’m not an experienced knitter, but I found this yarn great quality, smooth and very nice to knit with.

Nowhere near as good as it used to be. Thicknesses vary within both balls and colours. But I don't think I've ever found a join in stylecraft special dk
My favourite acrylic DK by far. So many lovely colours and great quality. Very rarely have I had a poor quality ball or knots in the yarn. Tried other similarly priced brands but always end up back work SSDK
