All staff were incredible throughout my stay.

Amir the physio went above and beyond to make sure I had the confidence to get moving straight after surgery.

Not recommended so far...

Was referred to The London Clinic by my Bupa GP for a follow up after needing follow up treatment after receiving treatment from the NHS.
The experience so far has been a mess and fairly off-putting.

I was initially offered an appointment, which I accepted.
I was then contacted to say the appointment they offered me was no longer available and booked me another instead.
I was then contacted a few days later because they were unwell. Fine, things happen.
However, they didn't reschedule me and trying to call their reception to rebook or even talk to anyone proves to be impossible.

I tried to call them back and was told by the lady that answered the phone they were closed and to call again another time.
So I respond to their message that my appointment was cancelled asking for a an appointment for any afternoon in a date range. However, they didn't schedule me a new appointment.
They then contact me the following day to say my original booked appointment was still scheduled. However, I no longer had that time booked off from work as they cancelled on me.
So I have to ask for time to stop working and step out of the office to try calling again to confirm the appointment before asking for emergency time off work, but yet again the phone just continues to ring.
After 10 minutes I finally get through and speak to someone on the phone who tells me I called the wrong department. I inform them that I called the number in their very message they tell me to call regarding the appointment. The lady I'm speaking to tells me the call probably got rerouted to her because no one's there to answer, and routes me through to another department.
I then get through to the lady at this department that tells me I'm calling the wrong department. I inform her that I was rerouted to her after trying to call the correct department. However she tells me she'll redirect me to the correct department.
I again wait for the phone to ring, and eventually someone answers who tells me to ignore the message they sent me about the scheduled appointment and it was indeed cancelled.
I was finally able to schedule another appointment in a couple of weeks time, but have little faith that I wont have to go through all this again.

The London Rip Off Clinic

This hospital is only in the business of making money off of patients well-being. After a disputed transaction was approved to be waived due to their negligence they have come back and requested it again four years later! This comes after a horrific experience at that clinic. Never go to that clinic. They have no respect for their patients nor ethical code.

Avoid

I had the appointments regarding serious infection which has not been identified in this clinic after numerous appointments and tests. I have been given treatment in different clinic in the end. 4 years later I have been contacted and informed I have not paid for some treatments however I have done all payments as my insurance was covering it. It is financial misconduct and fraudulent behaviour, trying to get money after 4 years via debe company.

I have seem the reviews regarding the same issue before.

Exceptional Physiotherapy

I have been under the care of this physiotherapy department for the past 6 months - for treatment and rehab of a complicated shoulder injury. - The physiotherapist listened to my concerns, provided me tangible practical advice and modified my exercises as needed. They were flexible with appointments and I always felt heard and part of the decision making. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I also spent time with the hydrotherapy team who reflected the same high values, maintained dignity and put me at my ease. The facilities were consistently clean and appts were on time. I Highly recommend this clinic.

Very poor Service

I called for appointment for shoulder injury. Their blurb stated you would be called back within the hour. Two and half hours later after staying by my computer I called back. They couldn’t get hold of the doctor I was assigned but could put me on the list of another Dr and I would have to wait again. Stated no discount for inconvenience caused.

Thoroughly unimpressed

Thoroughly unimpressed.
I booked an appointment with this clinic—renowned for treating Royals—due to sudden back pain after been discharged from an NHS emergency department, as advised by my insurance. My preferred private hospital had no available slots (not to mention the NHS waiting list).
From the outset, their priority seemed to be financial formalities—providing extensive cost information and requiring disclaimers—rather than demonstrating genuine compassionate care. As other reviews have noted, much depends on the consultant you choose. Unfortunately, my consultation lasted just 10 minutes, felt rushed, and lacked a thorough explanation of the treatment plan—disappointing, especially given the £300 consultation fee (plus of course, there will be all the other fees for diagnostics and follow up visit).
Adding to my frustration, I had to wait five days for an MRI, despite other private providers offering next-day slots. However, once treatment begins with them, there’s no flexibility to opt for alternatives. While I recognize that waiting times for NHS MRIs are far worse, when paying privately, efficiency is expected. This experience highlights broader issues within the UK’s healthcare system—especially considering that my consultant also works for the NHS.
Lastly, the facilities were outdated and stuffy, further diminishing the experience. Overall, I am thoroughly unimpressed.
My advice: prioritize patients’ need and compassionate care over financial concerns.

Physio after my second surgery at TLC
Again Amir, thankyou for your dedication as I continue my journey of recovery.
It was a lot easier this time after my previous surgery (knowing what to expect); again you took the time to ensure I progressed with my movement to achieve my own goals, ready for discharge today.
Your actions are greatly appreciated.
As per my previous comment your clear and concise guidance has assisted me now and as I continue towards full recovery.
Good Job. You have been a great help and thankyou. David

Reviewing Billing Challenges at the London Clinic

My brother has been a patient at The London Clinic since 2018, but the quality of service has greatly deteriorated in recent years, especially with billing. He’s been repeatedly charged for medications that should have been covered under his treatment package, despite multiple assurances that the problem was resolved.
They also sent him a reminder of an unpaid invoice, despite confirmation from someone in the finance department that the payment had already been made. This has not only caused unnecessary stress and confusion but also led to further frustration when he was incorrectly told he needed to settle it within 7 days.
The finance department appears to be run somewhat shambolically and even after months of emails with the Patient Experience team, no clear answers have been provided.
This ongoing issue is not only affecting my brother, but it’s also taking a toll on me as his sole carer. I feel drained and stressed by the constant back-and-forth, and it’s adding unnecessary strain to an already difficult situation.
Just recently, my brother was unable to get his prescribed medication because staff couldn’t confirm whether it would be billed, leaving him frustrated and uncertain about his care. I wonder whether the hospital will take these concerns seriously and improve its processes for the sake of future patients and their families.
Update -
My brother was wrongly charged £289 for two speech therapy appointments on the same day something that only came to light because I challenged it. Had I not stepped in, he would have paid the amount and been out of pocket for a service he never received.
While some other billing issues such as incorrect charges for medication were eventually resolved, this particular incident left us feeling completely disregarded. We were never given a proper explanation or an apology, despite the obvious error and the stress it caused.
After all the back-and-forth, it was deeply disappointing to feel that the hospital didn’t truly care about the impact on the patient. If this is the standard of communication and customer care, I worry that other patients may face similar problems, especially if they don’t question what they’re being charged for.

Financial misconduct; rudeness,arrogance.

The London Clinic engages in unethical financial practices and tries to extract money from patients years after their appointments.

I paid in full and in cash at the time of my visit in November 2021. Yet, out of nowhere, nearly two years later (August 2023), they emailed me, falsely claiming I owed them £57. When I demanded evidence, they ignored my email completely — no response, no proof, nothing.

Then, in March 2025, a debt collection agency suddenly contacted me over this supposed debt. This clinic is clearly trying to make money by fabricating outstanding payments and hoping patients won’t challenge them.

When I called to resolve the matter, I was met with rudeness, arrogance, and blatant disregard for basic professionalism. A staff member talked over me, dismissed my concerns, and even had the audacity to suggest that £57 wasn’t worth disputing — as if that justifies their fraudulent behaviour.

This is not just incompetence; this is financial misconduct. If they have done this to me, they are likely doing it to others. Be extremely cautious, keep all payment records, and don’t let them scam you.
A clinic that resorts to dishonest money-grabbing tactics instead of providing ethical healthcare is not one to be trusted.

Super start Deepa

I know Deepa for a long time, having helped me over the years to overcome a few injuries, with the use of acupuncture. Most recently she was able to help me overcome a longstanding injury on my leg, that was preventing me from running and do any kind of impact exercises.

Deepa is incredibly talented, kind and professional and can not recommend her enough!

A true asset to the Clinic and the service users!

Shameful clinic

BEWARE This clinic pays for good reviews ! DO NOT GO HERE If I could leave 0 stars I would. Not only was it a nightmare to get blood test results back but it is extremely unprofessional. Not only did I have to chase Dr. Salman down for days for a follow up consultation since she practically forgot about me after the first one. At the first consultation she prescribed me something that did not work so I obviously needed a follow up. She did not ask for a follow up of course. But after days of emailing and chasing her down her assistant told me to get my blood work done and that we will discuss it the next day at 1:30, since I am in critical condition and It is an emergency. I called the whole morning trying to get my blood test results back and only got half of them back and eventually I was told the assistant was on lunch break so she could not send the rest to me until 1 hour later (still missing some and I had to eventually call the LAB and ask them to send them to me) which just baffles me. At 1:40 they emailed me saying they can't call an international number (apparently) so when I called the clinic to try to find a solution she was unreachable and no one was able to connect me to her. Finally at 2:55 the assistant calls on my international number (which is strange because how come she can call me and the doctor can't) and says she can arrange a zoom call at 4, not only is the assistant clueless but so inconsiderate that ive been trying to get a hold of her for the past hour. in any normal clinic they at least made sure they could call an international number especially since this appointment was made 3 days ago. Anyways, the assistant doesn't even know when the dr can see me and I give up at this point. I Still haven't received the rest of my results. Not to mention, I am simply exhausted and have never been at a place so bad. I simply give up and I will just find another doctor. To conclude, she never showed up at the appointment and never rescheduled a new one, she simply doesn't care about her clients. One last thing, they constantly missed spelled my first and last name and even every time I redid the paperwork they continued to misspell it, very small detail but it just shows how unprofessional and careless they are

Horrendous.

My father spent three weeks in the hospital and came out so very much worse than when he went in. The bedroom and bathroom were barely cleaned. He got an ecoli infection while there as so dirty. The general care was poor. We had to constantly and repeatedly ask for things we weren’t given. Complimentary therapies, someone to cut his nails (we ended up doing it ourselves after being promised again and again they’d do it), physiotherapy etc. My father had some good nurses and some terrible nurses, depending on the rota. Some were quite rough. Some were gentle. There were times we thought they were drugging him
Purposely so as not to look after him and when we requested to read his charts we were refused.

Upon discharge equipment was ordered but not everything arrived. We were sent a bed without sides. Within ten minutes of getting him into the bed he almost fell out. When we phoned the hospital to request the sides we were refused. Apparently he’d been assessed and it wasn’t necessary. Put it this way, he had sides in the hospital which were essential as he tried to get out of bed unaided. The bed for home was far narrower than the hospital bed so any movement posed a risk of falling out. In the end we got one ourselves the hospital particularly the physio team were beyond unhelpful. We requested a chair and their answer was they wouldn’t supply one in case of pressure problems. Meanwhile he sat in a chair in the hospital for 10 minutes a day. So we again had to organise this ourselves while dealing with the trauma of facing end of life care. Incompetent, unhelpful, without compassion and intransigent. As a family, for private care we were shocked at the lack of decent care and constant barriers. We complained to patient experience and frankly need a department to complain about that department too. If you can avoid the hospital try a different private hospital.

A Disturbing Experience at The London…

A Disturbing Experience at The London Clinic—Patients Deserve Better

I sought private healthcare at The London Clinic, paying out of pocket to access the dignified and thorough medical care that all patients deserve. I expected professionalism, respect, and transparency. Instead, I encountered dismissal, gaslighting, and an attempt to control my experience.

I booked a specific scan for a longstanding medical issue. Yet, when I arrived, the radiographer refused to perform the scan I requested. Instead, they conducted a mammogram—without my consent and against my explicit instructions.

I was left undressed and vulnerable, while being spoken to in a manner that no patient should ever have to endure.

When I raised a formal complaint, the clinic’s response revealed something even more troubling:

They offered a follow-up scan—but only if I agreed to drop my complaint. Their “gesture of goodwill” was not goodwill at all—it was an attempt to silence me.
They rewrote my experience, falsely implying that I had been distressed or inappropriate.
Instead of taking responsibility, they attempted to shift blame onto me, following a pattern that far too many women recognize—where advocating for oneself is met with dismissal, gaslighting, and erasure.
This is unacceptable.
I declined their conditional “resolution” and have escalated my complaint for independent external review.

If The London Clinic truly stands for patient care, they should welcome scrutiny, not attempt to control the narrative.

This is not just about my experience. This is about every woman who has been rewritten, dismissed, and made to doubt herself in medical settings.

If you are considering private healthcare at The London Clinic, be aware. Ask questions. Protect your medical autonomy.

I share this because transparency leads to change. Patients deserve better.

Trying to claim money for blood test…

Trying to claim money for blood test without ever warning or asking me that I have to self fund when have insurance.
Once again trying to claim outstanding money when I thought this was sorted. On checking in for blood test they ask you if you're self funding or have private healthcare. Even though I have private healthcare, they sent me a mail in September last year that there is a balance /charge outstanding. When you call they give you various reasons for what it's for. Then they say your insurance doesn't cover this test, when insurance says there was nothing sent to them they didn't pay. Then I thought it was sorted, but once again sending me a reminder last week. They never asked or warned me whilst there that I need to pay for something even though insured (and no is not my excess), because I would have said no thanks.
But as I say they keep giving different reasons what it's for and it's so unfair and unjust I'm still disputing it. So be careful when you go and have tests done and check if you can get unexpected bills.
I'm now hesitant to come back to see another specialist I have been referred to, because it's not really not right!
