I will admit I was hesitant and honestly did not know what to do with all these five star reviews on TrustPilot.
I'm about six months in and I could not possibly be happier or feel more well suited for where I'm at.
This program (in which I am still engaged) is the most supportive, thoughtful and real program I've ever been a part of. No traditional academic program, no writing group, no previous coaching experience compares.
Honestly, this is as if someone takes you by the hand, shows you absolutely everything, gives you absolutely every possible leg up you could utilize and then guides you to see all of it as "tools, not rules". Believe me you'll work hard, but the combination of the self paced well thought out courses and the membership interaction and the ridiculously amazing live seminars with the writing coaches, editors AND well known guest authors combine to create an atmosphere where you absolutely can get where you want to go.
Regardless of whether you wish to prepare for one of the big publishing houses or self-publishing or just to get to the end, the coaches and, most of all, the very present founder of the program is there to help keep you afloat. Some seminars help you keep going, there are seminars when you don't even know what question to ask, there are seminars to help you show up and there are seminars just to feel a part of something big. Worth absolutely every penny.

I’ll be honest, when I read that the Novelry was the world’s most well loved school for writers… I rolled my eyes a bit. I thought this must’ve been a marketing spin. But then I joined, and no. No. The Novelry is AMAZING.
I just finished the 90 Day Novel course and I’m very much looking forward to moving on to the Big Edit. In the Novelry, I’ve been sucked into this community of writers — people who are genuinely there for each other and the love of the craft. The lessons have this uncanny ability to show up at EXACTLY the right moment, and there is a plethora of support around every corner. What’s even better, the Novelry doesn’t train their writers to pipe out the same body of work using the same techniques over and over. They teach you the tools to develop your OWN voice and your own practise, with coaches from every genre you can imagine.
Words cannot describe how happy I am to have joined this community. If you’re unsure, take this as a sign. They are worth every penny they charge and more. Even if I never get published, the experience that I’ve had writing my book as a part of this community is something that has been absolutely special, and I’ll never forget it.

Excellent content in the course lessons. The sequence of information was spot on. It leads you through the process step by step with thought provoking and stimulating content. i liked that there was information about the writing process as a writer as well as the actual writing. The course far exceeds anything I’ve done at university or elsewhere in its comprehensiveness. I absolutely love the recorded workshops too! I also liked Louise’s in-car conversation videos.

I had so much fear around writing a novel, and the Novelry took those fears away. They were with me every step of the way and I couldn't have written my novel without them.

I bought The Novel Development Course as a birthday present to myself. And what a gift it turned out to be. I'd taken a couple of short writing courses previously, but the Novelry does things on a different level.
Daily lessons to keep you on track; one-on-one coaching from award-winning authors and editors from the big publishing houses; opportunities to join a host of live workshops each week; plus so many other resources.
I only wish I'd found it sooner.

Welcoming, supportive environment to improve your writing skills and finish that draft of your book with published authors, editors and industry professionals. I took the Finished Novel course and am part way through and so far it’s been inspiring and so helpful. There is so much to access: support groups, writing groups, workshops in whatever genres you’re interested in and mentoring with published authors and editors. Thoroughly enjoying it and improving. It is expensive but I would still highly recommend the course.

I am a writer, re-entering the writing market after a long break. I had lost all my mojo and confidence with writing and thought The Novelry might get me back on track. Initially sceptical, I am overjoyed with my choice. The course is packed with useful tips, coaches are fantastic and team accessible. Of course you have to put in a big commitment and work hard, so not for those used to short online courses. If you are truly committed though, this platform is second to none. I wish I had joined earlier.

I've just finished the first module of The Finished Novel Course (about three months in). The experience so far has been exceptional. It's a very supportive environment with inspirational tutors and plenty of opportunities to share the experience with other students. The quality of learning materials is very high, and they are presented in a format that makes it very easy to navigate the vast library of resources available.
My hand has been held firmly along the way and I have no doubt I will finish the course with a completed novel - something I would not have thought possible twelve months ago.

The Novelry is such a gift to aspiring writers. It packs in a lifetime's worth of writing wisdom and practical tools, striking the perfect balance of structure and freedom. This course has left me feeling prepared and ready to embark on writing my novel. It's given me so many tools I didn't know I needed, and looking back I can't believe I was writing without them! The Novelry demystifies the creative process by pulling lessons from the greats, which was such a fun and cozy way to learn. Their accessible, friendly, no-ego approach to writing is such a breath of fresh air.

Much better program than I expected! Great online community, and the first online class that didn't feel like I was dragging my heels to finish.

I’ve been “pantsing” a novel for years and keep getting lost in the middle- sometimes 50,000 words or more in. The feeling of frustration and failure overwhelming me each time. The Novelry has been exactly what I was looking for, needing to get back to understanding story structure, inspiration, and a story I love - and more importantly - solid plan. I honestly still can’t believe I get to work with published authors I deeply admire as coaches and highly respected editors whose input, experience, and knowledge of the reader’s pov is absolutely invaluable. There are so many resources and lessons I’ve barely touched the surface and the writing community is amazing. This is an incredible opportunity and I’ve gone from thinking my dream of being a published author might be more than just a dream- but a reality. I wish I’d signed up sooner!

The Novelty came into my life while I was at one of my lowest points. Having something positive and creative to focus on became a big part of my daily self-care routine. More than that, I was able to write a draft that I look back on and say, 'Wow, that's pretty good!'. The coaching calls were hugely helpful. I cannot praise this part of the course enough. I came away from each call with a far more focused plan on how to proceed. Thanks to The Novelry, I'm far closer to my life-long dream of being published.

The Novelry was recommended by a friend, who became agented after her work with the Novelry. Having completed the Classic course, now moving on to the 90-day novel, I can see the time I wasted on other courses. Save your sanity. Start here. Even if you already have material written or a first draft of your ms done. I find it's worth it so far. Looking forward to the final edit course.

Before you sign up to that expensive university writing course, consider The Novelry instead. I have done both and can vouch for the latter. I am drafting my first novel with 1-to-1 coaching from a multi-award-winning literary author while taking a series of amazing courses written and delivered by another. I enjoy several live events every week with authors and editors from all the big publishing houses. I look forward to updating this review when my novel is finished...

Each 'Classic' story has a hero, who without a 'guide' would never reach their dream, which is getting what they want, or maybe better said, need. For fledgling or struggling authors working hard to make their dreams of being published become a reality, The Novelry is that trusted 'Guide' who will always keep your rudder straight while you write away to create that story that others will love to read, giving you that often elusive prize, success.
