Works a treat on oak and pretty well on treated softwood - combined with wood reviver it produces a very clean finish. We used Osmo oil to complete the job on our potting shed and now looks ace!

It is highly effective at removing black spots on oiled or untreated wood surfaces.How to use Osmo Tannin Spot RemoverSpray Osmo Tannin Spot Remover evenly onto the black marks until the surface is completely covered. Allow the solution to react for 30-45 minutes and then wipe it off with a cloth. If necessary, repeat and then wipe clean with clear water. After drying, apply a suitable Maintenance Oil on the treated area to protect the wood.

This product is brilliant. A metal plant pot had leaked through the coaster overnight leaving a big black stain on a new oak sill. Ordered this in the afternoon. Arrived by breakfast next day. Applied once and good as new. Very impressed.
It does work but is not very strong and takes multiple applications to affect tannin spots in an oak worktop.
