Unfortunately, The Perfume Shop continues to repeat the same response without addressing the evidence I have provided.

My return label listed 5 items, and I have proof of postage showing the parcel weighed 1000g when sent. Despite this, I am repeatedly being told that only two items were received and that one perfume had been sprayed.

I have asked for the evidence supporting these conclusions, including photographs, inspection records and details of the investigation, but no meaningful explanation has been provided. Instead, I am simply told that the warehouse has reviewed the matter.

At this stage, I feel that my evidence has been ignored while the company’s conclusions are accepted without question. I remain out of pocket and extremely disappointed by how this complaint has been handled.

I would like to reassure you that we do take your concerns seriously, and I am sorry that you feel you have not received a sufficient explanation regarding the outcome of the assessment.

Our warehouse colleagues are professionally trained to inspect returned products and review a significant number of returns each day. They are specifically trained to identify signs of product usage, tampering and whether items meet the conditions required under our returns policy. Their assessments are carried out independently based on the condition of the products received and are not influenced by the outcome of the refund request. Please also be assured that our warehouse teams do not personally benefit from refusing a refund, their role is simply to assess returned items against our resale and returns criteria.

I appreciate that this does not align with your own understanding of the condition of the items when they were returned, and I understand why this has been frustrating for you. However, the outcome communicated was based on the findings of the assessment completed upon receipt of the returned goods.

I can see that you currently have open correspondence with our team regarding this matter, and we will continue to liaise with you directly through those channels to ensure your concerns are fully addressed.

Excellent customer service

I had such a genuinely pleasant experience shopping for aftershave recently, and it was made all the better thanks to Sarah, who assisted me throughout. From the moment I walked in, she struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving me space to browse—something that’s surprisingly rare.

What stood out most was her knowledge. I wasn’t entirely sure what I was looking for, but Sarah asked a few thoughtful questions about my preferences and quickly guided me toward a selection that actually suited my taste. She explained the differences between fragrances in a way that was easy to understand without ever feeling overwhelming or pushy.

Her enthusiasm was infectious, too. You could tell she genuinely cared about helping customers find the right product rather than just making a sale. She even suggested a couple of options I wouldn’t have considered myself, two of which I ended up buying—and I’m very glad I did.

The whole experience felt personal, relaxed, and surprisingly enjoyable. It’s the kind of customer service that makes you want to come back, not just for the products but for the people. Sarah is an absolute credit to the store, and I’ll definitely be returning because of her.

Goood

I come into the Bury store the other day. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in. I didn’t have a clue what to buy my friend as a birthday gift. The girls helped me out and found the perfect aftershave. They even gift wrapped it with a ribbon. Thank you so much I’ll be back again!

Poor customer service

I bought three perfumes which were clearly on offer at a discounted price,but was charged full price for one of them.This was only when I pointed out on my bill that I was charges wrong price.
The staff who was dealing with me was’nt sure how to refund me.
Eventually they managed to refund me .
At this point,as I wanted to buy total three perfumes,I was told “We r closing “.
I had to emphasise that this delay was not my fault as they forgot to remove the discounted price tag from the perfume.I was travelling abroad and could not come another time to purchase the third perfume as these were suppose to be gifts which I was taking.
Reluctantly they served me in a rushed way to choose and pay for the third perfume.

Great experience

I went into the bury store this morning looking for a gift for my daughter. A lovely lady served me and I ended up having a hamper made up with a perfume, free gifts and some chocolates. Lovely experience and lovely staff.
