Sleepmask review.

Sleepmask review.

Let me start by saying that I own a Theragun and eye goggles (gen 1) and am pleased with both of them. The sleep mask, however, is an entirely different story, and I’m amazed it survived development and is being sold.

If you sleep on your side, the sleep mask transforms your pillow into a loudspeaker, rendering it extremely loud and unusable as a relaxing device to help you sleep better. None of the online reviews, including YouTube, mention this issue.

I’m leaving the review here to help others since there is no way to leave a review on the Therabody website, and the sleep mask only has 5-star reviews there.

It has since been returned.

Aftersales service is horrible

The theragun is good. The wave solo i bought is nothing special. The afterservice is absolutely horrible. My solo broke and couldn't find the receipt, they falsely concluded that it was not covered by the guarantee (god knows how). When i found the receipt and realised that it was still in the 2 year warranty, i emailed them again and this time they simply refused to help saying that the store I bought (one of the largest retailers in my country) is not an authorised seller apparently no one in my country is an authorised seller) and they are not offering any support. All these things are simply tricks to not have to deal with aftersales service. I would recommend the theragun but stay away from everything else

I definitely wouldn’t buy one again.

The Theragun massage gun itself is amazing – it really delivers on performance and provides a great deep muscle massage. However, the after-support has been a nightmare. I had some issues and reached out for help, but the customer service was incredibly unhelpful and slow to respond. To make matters worse, they don’t sell replacement parts, so if anything breaks or wears out, you’re stuck with an expensive paperweight. Given all the issues with support and the lack of parts availability, I definitely wouldn’t buy one again.

This company is atrocious

This company is atrocious, first of all they took £1200 off me without processing my order TWICE which took 35 days to come back into my account, then I finally got my order through, the theraguns were too big so I returned them. My return was delivered 1 and a half months ago and they're refusing to refund me. DONT BUY FROM HERE!

Jose from customer service also unhelpful. Confirmed receipt of return but still hasn't refunded my money back ?🤔🤔🤔

Pre and Post Sales Review

So in summary:

I bought a product from Theabody that's defective.

I have returned the product I have to wait another 10-15 days for a replacement?

Pre sales 👍 post sales 👎

Worst costumer support ever.

Worst costumer support ever.
I changed like 10emails with the company and I can’t receive a complete invoice of my purchase. I just need my financial number in the invoice and they said it’s impossible, one invoice came with wrong purchase value, other with the wrong data…. It’s incredible!
The product seams ok but the service…. Oh my god’

I bought it because of particular…

I bought it because of particular features like the recommended practice after training as I have different sports activities.

So I expected something more intelligent than Chinese products, which are much cheaper than Therabody.

Now they have removed that feature, so it's just an overpriced tool for now, as the app is useless.

Had unit for about 15 months and it…

Had unit for about 15 months and it just stopped accepting a charge. Therabody has no repair services on offer. If it breaks it's garbage or a funky looking paperweight. At $200.00 bucks this seems to me to be of very poor quality. When it did work it worked well. Having such a short life and zero support by the manufacturer leaves me to look at the competition.

Incompetent company

Bought something as a Christmas present in their website on the 2nd of December. Had no update whatsoever only to contact them on the 22nd and be told that the product was out of stock with no estimated date of delivery. Contacted them again today and I was told the same thing. During this month, they took my money and not once let me know that the product was out of stock until I asked.
Ridiculous, incompetent company.

Therbody

Therbody: Great except for one design flaw: the on/off button is too close to the hand-grip zone which causes frequent accidental switching off especially when self massaging back position.

Therabody Customer Service Non-Existent

I bought a Therabody recovery system for my legs a year and a half ago. The pump suddenly lost it's ability to fully inflate the boots rendering the system useless. I contact Therabody inquiring about about getting a replacement pump. I even offered to buy the replacement pump. After multiple attempts to contact them (which I can tell you is not an easy task), I received this response: "we are unable to offer replacements or repair services for any Therabody devices or components". This system was over $600. For that price I don't feel it's an unreasonable expect to be able to buy replacement parts. My warning is to steer clear of any Therabody product as they don't last and the company does not stand behind their products.

Poor reliability and NO repair option

Feedback consistent with other reviewers. Purchased a Theragun mini for around 20 months and one day, the on-off switch was stuck and unable to turn on despite battery charging fine.
Non-existing customer service replied that repair is not possible outside 1 year warranty and only resolution was to buy a new one.
For the premium price paid for a Theragun massage gun, the lack of repair option for what seems to be a simple fix was indicative of their profit driven mindset in producing items that has poor reliability

Product defect

As with quite a number of similar review comments I have now seen here, my Theragun stopped charging outside of the 1-year defects warranty period. Theragun advised the only thing they could do was direct me to their outlet store to buy a cheaper replacement, but would not offer a discount code against a new purchase to replace their failed product. Therabody seem to confuse customer service as politely telling you what they can’t do, rather than helping fix the failure of their workmanship.

Difficult to get Customer Support

Chat and Email were useless in resolving some basic issues.

Except that I accelerated the chat to a supervisor and was able to interact by phone.

Once I did that all issues were resolved in a matter of minutes.
(Caveat, I'm a consumer lawyer and read the person I had in chat all relevant portions of our consumer protection act, explaining all the liabilities I saw.)

For a company to charge this much for their product, they need decent support - which their supervisor volunteered is an area they will be changing going forward.

If the person answering chat was familiar with their product they could have resolved the issue in a matter of minutes. As it was this took over an hour to resolve. I can't see how that benefits me or the company.

Do not buy these products - common battery failure!

Do not buy these products! I had a Theragun Mini for 2 years and 2 months, light usage, and one day it just wont hold a charge. The battery is dead and its useless. Despite the 2-yr warranty only recently expiring, customer service wont do anything at all to assist. You can't replace the batteries, so it's nearly £200 wasted - I expect a product to last a lot longer than that for that money! Their only advice - to buy another one (!!!). If you look at the review boards on these products, you'll find this is a really common problem across their entire product range - naff batteries that die after a year or two. Needless to say, I wont be buying anything else from them again.

Horrible support and customer service

I purchased a Theragun PRO from their website on 11/24/2024. By Dec 6th I began emailing their support department because the shipper only showed that the label was created, but no other shipping updates were happening. It is not Dec 19th and I have no item, no replies from support that are actually helpful, no refund and I was forced to contact my credit card company to dispute the transaction. Their support is terrible

Poor

Discount codes only work for old products that are full price. Old products not reliable as confirmed by reviews. Not sure if new products are better or not.

STAY AWAY FROM THEIR PRODUCTS

I bought the compression boots ($550) to help with running training recovery. Flash forward 1.5 years from purchase and the boots begin to show a flashing yellow triangle so I reached out to customer service to ask them if there is anything I can do to fix it / if they can fix it.

They inform me that since it is outside of the 1 year warranty period there is NOTHING they can do. Absolutely nothing, I spent so much money on this product to have Customer Service tell me 'their deepest apologies' and offer no solution / advice on how I can get this thing working again.

I am frustrated and disappointed that I trusted this company, for them to sell a poor quality product and offer little to no support once their product breaks.

This is bad business and a company like this that treats their customers this poorly will not last.
