I didnt get any leads to find an old friend from years ago , thought that her name and town in which I recall that she lived in might have given me a little more of a trail I could follow?

This company charged 0.99GBP to check an email address. they found nothing useful. They then tried to take 49.99GBP from my bank account. I had not subscribed to any services.
When I raised a complaint, they deny all knowledge of my email address or details.
