Furniture Shopping Without Stress
Shopping for furniture is stressful, so working with the right sales associate is extremely necessary. Professional, patient, empathetic, honest, factual, assuring, helpful and most importantly not pushy. That was my experience at The Room Place-Chicago-Cicero location. My initial contact was with Valentino several months ago. However I chose not to make the purchase at that time. I stopped in a few days ago just to look around and told him I'd be back. However when I returned he wasn't there so because I needed to make a purchase that day Eli helped me. All of the above attributes on display from both of these men. As usual something came up and I needed to return the next day. When I walked in the door the first person I saw was Valentino and I instantly felt not so good and started to apologize because I'd given the sale to someone else. He assured me that "it was ok", said not to worry and don't feel bad about it. Well, I needed to speak to the manger because Eli was off. Ramon one of the most kindest, down to earth people you can meet. I informed him of my conversation with Eli the day before, he analyzed the situation and I finally purchased my long awaited Recliner. All of those attributes must be displayed by the manger in order to reach the team. I am forever grateful to the team at this location because they appear to look out for each other.
Furniture unavailable after I have paid
My original review needs to be updated, unfortunately. I believed them to be honest when they gave me the delivery date of my furniture. When I walked in the store I told the salesperson I was only interested in what was in their warehouse and did not have a long wait. They sold me the chest of drawers off the floor and the dresser would be there in 7 days. Now, I keep getting texts delaying dresser. Called the store numerous times, spoke to Renee who said I will call you back in one hour, 5 days later, no call back. Absolutely the worst customer service, never again.
