Oprichter Rolf van Zanten startte The Silver Mountain in 2008, tijdens zijn studie Commerciële Economie. Good, but there is space for improvement.
So far, I haven't had big issues. Customer service on the phone is also good and efficient.
If there is going to be a delay, The Silver Mountain usually sends an email warning about it and explaining the reason. Just in case, if you get over 1 week delay without any email, I recommend to call them just to confirm the status of your package. It only happened once but, although they had enough stock of the items I ordered, they forgot to send it.
The boxing and the security could use some improvement. At the moment of receiving the package, I wasn't ask for ID nor I had to sign anything. Also, the box was very soft packed and I was able to reach the content inside with my hand without opening it.
Still a good service. I recommend it.

I've had one of the worst experiences…
I've had one of the worst experiences with this company. I've made a mistake in the delivery address which I noticed it immediately and informed the company to change it. They've promissed they will but they didn't. Afterwards, I went in holidays and informed them again asking them to hold the delivery off until I'm back. They've promised they will but they didn't.
Needles to say they''ve sent the package to the wrong address while I was on holidays. I've phoned them and their employee was extremely rude and HANG UP on me after saying THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING to fix the situation.
Buy from them at your own risk. If things get nasty, don't expect any cooperation.
Update: Indeed, I really appreciated the way this company dealt with a negative feedback (being called by its CEO and being offered a solution to smoothen the negative experience). It also turned out that the rude employee was UPS's - their hired transport service. Consequently, I update my experience to 4 stars, very much appreciating the customer oriented approach of the CEO.

Due to a change in our logistic systems and a switch to a new logistic partner we didn't properly follow-up on your change in delivery address and delivery date, for which we offer our apologies. The rude phone call was most likely with the courier service and that's not something we can find in our phone recordings. We appreciate your feedback and we will make sure to avoid this situation from happening again. We also reached out to you for a compensation.

Great service / product but too expensive
I am new to buying gold coins and found many good reviews for the silver mountain and decided to buy my first gold there.
The coin took about 2 weeks to arrive which I didn’t like but was in a great condition.
Later I found that silver mountain is actually quite expensive compared to another known gold web-shop, so it was probably my first and last order with silver mountain.
