Budget-Rate operator with zero quality.
Sound of Vinyl (SOV) accepted an order from me for 8 records (4 single LPs, 2 double). Then proceeded to pack the order into a package designed for at most 4 records. Order arrived with malformed sleeve corners and some warping to the vinyls themselves. I reported to SOV via their website and was a met with indifference and a spate of Policy recitations instead of concern. SOV refused to review their own tracking system to see about the mistakes with this fulfillment. Instead they gaslighted me and insisted that I "prove" to them by taking my time. When I sent a video (.MOV) file showing the warping, they refused to open it. Do not buy from them - they are cheap operators with no commitment to quality fidelity records or effective customer service. They retain the old cynical record-label attitudes of the 1970s, with concern primarily for their own bank accounts.

I would not recommend using this company I did not receive my order, I ordered in November and they have been useless. They are still telling me it’s coming despite me requesting to cancel since 16th Dec as it was a gift and so I ordered from elsewhere. Updated 3rd Jan: For context I made my order in 29th of November to dispatch on the 22deb is well outside of their 5-7 process time- and not acceptable- I have still not received anything from them

Very reasonably priced. Delivered in time for Christmas.
Only downside is the lack of clear delivery dates and customer services. However, that could be because it is a busy period.

If I could mark this company with zero stars I would and that would be generous.
Pre-ordered a box set in October and they promptly took my money the next day. Release date was the 5th December and my order was with 24 hour tracked shipping.
Nothing has arrived and despite numerous emails being sent to chase my order I still don't have my item at the time of writing ( 16th December ).
All email replies have been automated responses. I have asked for my order to be cancelled and refunded so I can purchase this item elsewhere........if there is no response by next week I will be going to their new store in Camden and taking my item from the shelf and walking out. That's how this has made me feel.
I am currently in the process of getting a chargeback from my bank and I recommend everyone having an issue with Universal Music ( The Sound Of Vinyl ) to do the same. Hopefully the company will be blacklisted after all the negative experiences people are having.
Judging by the reviews here this won't be sorted before Christmas.

The worst experience
THE WORST EXPERIENCE
I ordered and "in stock" vinyl for next day delivery and over 2 weeks later I am still waiting for an update on my order. The item is now currently "out of stock" and the customer service team have either ignored my request for a delivery / dispatch update or sent a generic AI response. A refund has been requested but this has also been ignored.
I WILL NEVER be ordering from this site again once this issue has been resolved.

Wish I had read the reviews on here first! I Pre-ordered and paid for a vinyl on 30th Oct, it should have been dispatched on 28th November. It’s now 10th December and I have heard nothing. My order still shows as preparing to dispatch online and they haven’t replied to any of my emails asking for an update on when I will receive the vinyl.
This is a Christmas present for my daughter and their last pre-Christmas dispatch date is tomorrow so I’m now not going to receive it in time and I can’t cancel either!! - absolutely disgusting customer service! I will never use this company again and will tell others not to either!

Wish I’d read the reviews here before ordering. Same as everyone else here it seems, ordered weeks ago and my order has still not been dispatched. This company is awful
This company is awful. They don't communicate. They use automated responses for emails and make it incredibly difficult to get a reply from an actual human.
Ordered some records from them a few weeks ago and they havnt even shipped. I try contacting them only to receive an auto response saying my records will be shipped on the 5th (It's now the 10th).
They also told me they can't refund me and cancel my order and that is have to send the items back if I wanted a refund. THEY HAVNT EVEN SHIPPED YET SO HOW CAN YOU NOT CANCEL IT?!
Pure scumbags.
Id rate them zero stars if I could.

Overwhelmingly disappointing experience for my first order with this company.
I purchased a signed book and found myself having to chase for updates as my order sat untouched for two weeks without ever moving to dispatch. Every time I reached out, I received the same copy-and-paste “it’s processing” response, with no genuine update or clarity on when I could actually expect my order, despite clearly explaining that this was time-sensitive because it’s a gift I need to take overseas.
To make things worse, on the 9th of December I was suddenly told my dispatch date was the 4th, which makes it painfully obvious that the system is automated and nobody is actually assisting or looking into customer queries. It feels like smoke and mirrors rather than real customer service.
I have requested a cancellation multiple times and have not received a single response regarding my refund. Because of this complete lack of communication, I have now filed a chargeback with my bank and ordered the item elsewhere.
I strongly encourage people to look elsewhere and not shop with this company.

Whilst the appear to have a great selection having stock and delivering your vinyl's is another thing. I have been waiting almost a month for delivery and after multiple emails all they say is that my order is being processed. No delivery timescales, no explanation as to why it is delayed and no offer of a refund to allow me to order elsewhere. They fall under a larger paramount group of suppliers so do your homework and order from somewhere that can actually supply on time.
