Having a specific foot stability issue, there are only certain running shoes that work for me. When I find a shoe that works, it tend to repeat buy which is great until they're out of production and out of stock. As it's time to replace my current runners I did a bit of a 'hail Mary' search for Saucony Guide 15s which which work for me but increasingly hard to source. Expecting to get outrageously-priced results from Amazon/eBay/international stores, I was delighted to see Wicklow-based 'The Sports Room'; pop up, top of the list, with the shoe in my size and at a great price! Despite being a weekend purchase they were shipped immediately and should arrive today. Also got a nice note from Mark (Owner) welcoming me as a new customer. 5-star experience overall.

Mark and his team are just brilliant. They helped me find the right bike for my son (who loves it) and were very patient with me and my bike to work voucher to arrive. Helped me setup the bike carrier.
The cafe is really nice too.

Always great service from the mechanics and team. They even remember to ask if my tubeless tyre that they had fixed the last time was still working out. That's the reason why you go to your local bike shop.

Knowledgeable staff who were able to recommend a good choice of trainer for my plantar fasciitis injury. Shop has a lovely vibe and plenty of great products. After shopping, head to the opposite side of the retail unit and get some great quality cafe food (prices are reasonable).

Visited as I was in Wicklow for a morning, good range of clothing for running and cycling and also for open water swimming. Nice women’s swimming costumes in bright patterns. I bought goggles and an anti fog spray and a neoprene headband, the last item recommended by the store as the neoprene hat I use irritates my skin where the Velcro attaches. Recommend the store and it’s handily sharing space with a Firehouse bakery and cafe which is also highly recommended.

I made the mistake of ordering the wrong size. They spotted it and corrected it without hearing from me. Excellent service excellent value

I bought a pair of shoes online from Sports Room to walk the Camino de Santiago. I was having difficulty finding the model I wanted in a physical store, and although I was a bit unsure about buying without trying them on, I decided to go for it , and it turned out to be a great decision.

The delivery was very fast, and I even received a lovely note with my order, which I really appreciated.

The shoes I chose were perfect for the Camino: I didn’t get any blisters and had a great experience throughout the entire walk.

I always enjoy looking through the great gear the guys bring in. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Getting your training gear and fuel AND getting a coffee AND getting a loaf of sourdough, all in the same trip can't be beat.
