Extraordinary cooking class!
We had an incredible cooking class with Valeria! All the ingredients and equipment was immaturely organised for us in advance and Valeria was a fantastic teacher! Everything we made was delicious and there was plenty to take home. Would highly recommend this and we plan to go again soon!

An amazing class!
My friend and I had a lovely afternoon learning French patisserie at the Sweet Bit. Valeria is very calm and knowledgeable and made everything seem so easy, giving lots helpful tips along the way. By the end of the morning we had all made choux and short crust pastry and produced amazing profiteroles and a beautiful fruit tart. The class is very relaxed and I didn't feel rushed at any point. I would love to do another in the future and would highly recommend The Sweet Bit. Thank you again Valeria! x

A fun baking afternoon
My daughter and I had a really fun afternoon baking profiteroles and a fruit tart each. We made both shortcrust and choux pastries and a crème patissière. Valeria was amazing and demonstrated everything step by step and helped us when we needed it. The pastries are delicious. A highly recommended course

Today’s macarons training was a wonderful experience. The time was spent very pleasantly, with lots of useful knowledge gained. Most importantly, the macarons baking techniques were clearly and thoroughly explained. The teacher Valeria, as always, was very kind, supportive, and helpful throughout the entire session.

This class was fantastic, a 10/10 experience. Valeria was incredible: patient, attentive, and never made us feel rushed. She offered help whenever we needed it while still giving us the freedom to work independently. The desserts turned out amazing, and we had plenty to take home. I can’t wait to return for one of her other classes!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a delightful spread of homemade madeleines and a carefully chosen selection of teas and coffees, setting a relaxed and cheerful tone for the day.
Before the lesson began, Valeria provided a clear and engaging overview of the session, outlining the techniques we’d be learning and the pastries we’d be creating. The class was thoughtfully structured, striking a perfect balance between demonstration and hands-on practice. We explored a range of pastry types—from rich, buttery shortcrust to the light and airy choux pastry—each introduced with expert guidance. Valeria shared invaluable tips on everything from achieving the right dough consistency to mastering baking temperatures and timings.

A wonderful first time baking class experience
A great, easy going, inspiring French patisserie class. Valeria herself is quite cool and calm, knowledgeable, and seems to have the patience of a saint. This was a totally enjoyable few hours that I'll recommend to anyone wishing to take their first steps into baking!

This class was small and very homely, taking place in Valeria's flat. I learned a lot and how to make shortcrust and choux pastry, and this helped my confidence to bake more generally. I also picked up a few tips on baking techniques. A highly recommended experience.

Happiness is handmade... especially when it's pasta
I learned so much today! I've tried making pasta a few times before, but could never quite get it right.

Fantastic class
We absolutely loved Valeria’s patisserie class. We had so much fun, and we all learnt a lot. We were so impressed with the delicious cakes we made- we never thought we could make these things, but with Valeria’s in depth knowledge and supportive guidance we were able to pick up new skills and gain in confidence. The class was very well organised and perfectly paced, the ingredients, equipment and location were all great. We all had a lot of fun and sincerely hope to book another of Valeria’s classes soon.
