The Trade Centre Wales - Merthyr Tydfil Reviews 

A friend and myself visited this place yesterday afternoon to have a look around the stock.

As soon as we entered the showroom a sales person said "hello" to which we politely said "hello" back.

I kept walking forwards towards the cars nearest the entrance to start my viewing of the vehicle's they had there.

The sales man collared my friend and shouted me to "stop".

He said "come back".

I replied "I just want to have a look around the cars".

"You can" he said "but you have to walk around this way and not walk between the cars".

You could clearly see that there were no covid restrictions in place to suggest that there was a one way system to follow so I asked him "why" ?

He said "you need to keep to the painted road way markings around the cars".

Again I asked him "why can't I walk between the cars to have a look at them".

"You can't" he said , "can you just do what I say" .

"What do you think I am going to do to the cars" I replied.

"You can look at the cars" he said and I replied "that's what am doing" !

"It's company policy" he replied.

To which we gave him a look and walked off into the showroom keeping between the painted lines not even going near any of the cars just incase it was not company policy.

Throwing caution to the wind at one point I even pointed out one of the cars to my friend then looked up at the sales team waiting to see if I had broken any company policies.

We did spend 10-15 minutes in and out side just to walk around the outer lane of cars and I said to my friend "do you get the feeling that your being watched the whole time".

"Yes" he replied "and its not a nice feeling".

"Do you want to make a sharp exit from here" I said to him to which he replied "YES".

So outside now not wanting a confrontation again we walked passed where they washed the cars to the side of the building to just get out of there .

Then we were approached by another sale's man who told us that "all the cars out here are all sold and are you looking for any particular car in mind" ?

"Yes" I said "MINE" !

First and last time . . .
We will never go there again !

That's my policy !

When I arrive the staff were really help asked what I was looking for and let me look at the range of cars available, struggling to find what I want then the salesman came an showed my a 218d BMW which I immediately went wow love the colour, and it ticked all the boxes of what I wanted on a car and was really please with the staff for helping me find the car and help with all the paperwork in regards to finances and same day collection plus the free fuel for a year deal

My experience at trade centre wales was great, the sales man naz was terrific and such a huge help he helped us find just the right car which was perfect for us. I have a little baby and he was so helped with letting me attend his needs and was such so kind and I hope he gets a lot of credit, What a privilege it was to have met him.

All the staff that we interacted with were very attentive and helped us through the entire process. Brilliant service.

Don’t buy from here!!! Bought a car 2 months ago and was sold a complete pile of rubbish. Car is completely broken, needs new engine. Trade Centre essentially say it’s “not our problem” and not willing to help. Shameful from them.

Excellent service, no pressure to browse, no pressure to buy, helpful, quick. Would 100% buy again.

Excellent briefing on the car by 'Mabs'. Megan was great on all the admin - super efficient and really honest with us. Jarred and his trainee - superb on all the finance and compliance issues and very, very knowledgeable and helpful. All in all - a great customer service experience. And - the car is great.

good service at showroom by salesman, felt very welcome. aftercare service was good a few huccups but was sortes professionally very pleased

We finally got TC to look at the car they agreed to replace the faulty steering rack - that took weeks with no offer of a replacement car. Then 4 days after the supposedly repaired car the power steering failed at high speed with my family again. Now they have the car back and are testing again and refusing to resolve the situation.

They recovered the car but are now testing for the fault that's been 14 days since the car failed and still they keep telling us no fault found. In the meantime we have no car, have had no car since Jan. Have been paying for the car and I am in danger of losing work as I cannot get to work.

It looks like court will be the only option to recover the money.

We purchased a car three months ago, had problems straight away and now the car has failed totally.

We have tried calling (and spent hours on hold) and emailing for three days and had no response - no car and we spent over 10k. Looks like they just take the money and run.

Poor service.

PLEASE AVOID TRADE CENTRE WALES - THEY’LL CHARGE YOU THOUSANDS TO RETURN A FAULTY CAR
The after sales manager even had the cheek to say “What was I to expect when buying a second hand car”. She’s even asked that me and my wife remove our reviews even though they are as honest as can be!
They’re trying to get my wife’s review removed too by saying that she wasn’t a customer because it’s under my name! All their reviews must be inaccurate. They were so pushy and asked me to write a good review when I purchased the vehicle. TCW give second hand car salesman a bad name.
Filter the reviews to “bad” to understand the true service expected from TCW, from their real customers, there’s a pattern of behaviour!

They sold me a £20,000 Range Rover that had faulty break pads, disks, tyres and there are still issues undiagnosed since September 2021. They have replaced the rear diffs three times now and still no luck!
They still have my car in the garage and have offered a refund but have said I can only get it if I pay over £1,000 for the miles that have been put on the car. The car was in no fit state to be sold despite the fact they had paperwork saying that all safety checks were completed, which was a complete lie!

To top it off, I bought the car with Pirelli tyres (average £210 a tyre) they’ve replaced them with cheap second hand tyres and devalued the car.

Please avoid at all costs it’s really not worth the stress caused. Learn from my mistake!!!!

I got a car from trade centre wales and the car has been nothing but trouble since I’ve had it. I have spent more money on the car, than what the car is worth to keep it running!!!! DO NOT get a car from this place. They are not trustworthy nor reliable, Absolute rip off and waste of money. When driving my car home from the dealership I had an issue with it, it had to be taken back into their garage. Ever since, it’s in and out of the garage. I will never ever get a car from TCW again. They are shocking.

i tried it and hated it . being offered deals and reductions on an inflated price , i know its there job to sell but i cant stand pushy sales people . i wont be going back in a hurry

What a nightmare so far , bought this car ( above ) back in july from trade center wales , after driving 4 miles from the merthyr branch , the engine management lights came on. taken it back 3 times and still did not fix the issue , so far the car has been back 4 times and currently its now been sat in trade center wales for the past 15 days waiting on a repair ( with no end date of when its getting repaired ) , but yet funnily enough the 1st 3 times it went back for repair , they offered no courtesy car , yet as soon as i mentioned " i'm wanting to hand the car back " i got offered a courtesy car ....... they even went as far as putting a new MOT on it , but weirdly enough , when i took the car back for the 4th time a couple of weeks after the MOT was done ) , the track rod arms and the rear pumps had gone , but somehow it managed to have a successful MOT , ( something dodgy or fishy is going on here ) , got told when taking it back for the 4th time , that they would only have it for a week , its now been 11 days so far and counting ...... and the part that's needed to fix the car has been delayed and there is no delivery date at present , so i'm paying for a hump of metal i cant even use !!!!
Keep well clear of TCW its really not worth the hassle !!!

Went to buy a car from here and part ex my old one. Advert says a £1000 over market value for any make and any condition car.
I noticed the car I was buying had some marks on it which were badly covered up. I pulled them on it. They went straight on the defensive side and put me in a room with 3 people trying to intimidate me into taking £4500 less than what was agreed on my car. When I said no they said fine. Keep it and I’ll keep my car, this was when I already said what issues my car had. They even took my car over to their mechanic and plugged the machine in but wouldn’t tell me the faults which I knew. Tried to make out it was a lot worse than what they are. The only reason they started to try and intimidate me was down to me bringing up marks on the car which was “mint condition” loads of marks. Stains on the seats and a genuine shed of a car. Every one needs to avoid this car sales. They’ll bully you and try rip you off. I’d rather walk than go back there.

I went last week to buy a car I was promised a number if times that I would get the best deal if I bought Mercedes car today!! So I was very keen to have a brilliant deal. 5 days after purchasing the car I used the website to value the car ( the driving position causes hip and back pain to be worse so would not be able to keep it long term) and after paying £15000 the value came back as £10600 !! I emailed the company and my reply was: I knew how much I was paying for it and had the option to say no!
Worse aftercare ever!
To top it of the car struggles will hills and the parking sensors make a crackling noise and don't always work!!!

Amazing company had car from them 4 years ago they were great didn't feel pressured they took there time with me to find the right car I haven't had any problems with my car if I need car again,I will go back there every time thanks guys
