We are willing to check unlock eligibility before any purchase is made: customers can email sales@theunlockingcompany.com with the device make, model, locked carrier, and IMEI so we can review it in advance. Offering a pre-check before payment is about as far from “fake” as a business can get.
We are a legitimate, family-owned company with over 15 years of experience and thousands of successful unlocks. When an unlock cannot be completed after all available options are exhausted, full refunds are issued, and we also explore alternative solutions when possible.
If you placed an order with us and have a concern, we’re happy to review it directly and resolve it properly. Please contact sales@theunlockingcompany.com so we can assist, including issuing a refund if applicable.

TUC is a scam!
I got the same generated email a lot of you did. They cannot unlock the phone and they threaten you in the email that if you leave a negative review or if you chargeback they will blacklist your phone. This is a terrible company and its not even a legit company. They couldn't unlock an older Samsung S24 nor an S25 I've had for along time the S24 and the S25 maybe close to a year now. Do not trust them!

When an unlock cannot be completed after all available options are exhausted, 100% refunds are issued according to our published policy, which is provided at checkout, on the receipt, and on our website. We do not keep payment for unsuccessful services.
Receiving similar update emails does not mean a service is “generated” or a scam. Certain devices, including Samsung S24/S25 models, can encounter the same carrier-side restrictions, which naturally results in similar status updates. That reflects transparency, not deception.
We do not threaten customers and we do not blacklist any phones for sharing your experience or for legitimate chargeback reasons . Blacklisting is controlled solely by carriers networks, or manufacturers, not by unlocking services. The message you quoted is a standard disclosure meant to explain that chargebacks can sometimes trigger automated reviews by banks or carriers. It is informational, not a threat.

Hi,
I was having a difficult time getting my phone unlocked by a big carrier. I was on the phone with this carrier for over four hours trying to get my phone unlocked by them. It took over a week. Even though my phone was fully paid off years ago, the carrier still had a hold on my phone. I reached out to The Unlocking Company, and my phone was unlocked within a day for my situation. I was able to successfully move away from this carrier today and am thankful for their service. They provided excellent customer service.

They were patient because I had to translate the instructions, and some steps were difficult for me. 100% worked for me
Honestly I was sceptical at first, with so many sites out there offering unlocking it was difficult to know who to trust. I'm in the UK and bought a US carrier locked iPhone (not known at the time). I didnt know the history of the device, or the network it originally came from. Rather than just buying in hope, I emailed the team at TUC first to see if my situation fit their criteria. Within a couple of hours they confirmed to me that they could help, and although it was significantly more than the 'standard,' cost (about 4x more in fact) it felt like my only option. From initial email enquiry to having the device unlocked was about 21 hours, and less than 9hrs from payment to competition. The process was a complete success and required nothing on my end but payment and patience. Registered a UK carrier eSim with no issues. Thank you for a swift resolution.

I recently made the mistake of purchasing a new for me cell phone off of eBay. After I received the phone, which was in good condition overall, I realize that the phone was still locked to its prior network. After attempting several unlocks through the network provider, I was told that it has a previous balance. Since I bought this off of eBay, I was unable to find out what the previous balance was to ultimately unlock the device. I found this company online and from the start their service was exceptional. They tried through all of their avenues and over several months of nonstop attempts, my phone was not able to be unlocked, unfortunately. However, I feel in other circumstances there would be no issue unlocking devices. I will gladly use this company again in the future!
