Amazon Packages Not Returned in a Timely Manner, Terrible Customer Service

TERRIBLE! This UPS store does not merit one star. I am reluctantly giving one star simply to post this review and WARN other customers. Take your business to another location!
1. The UPS Store #2566 Healdsburg consistently refuses to scan return QR codes presented on a mobile device, insisting instead that customers provide a printed copy. This practice is inconsistent with standard procedures at every other UPS location I have used across multiple states.
2. The UPS Store #2566 Healdsburg charged me $5 to print a QR code that was already displayed on my cellphone. Additionally, the store charges for taping labels or sealing packages--services that other UPS locations routinely provide at no additional cost. These practices are inconsistent with typical UPS Store policies (where pre-printed labels are placed in a plastic sleeve at no additional cost).
3. On multiple occasions, store employees have failed to scan all returned packages or provide accurate receipts. My family has documented instances where three packages were dropped off, but the receipt reflected only two. This issue is particularly concerning because a previous return was never received by Amazon, resulting in a cancelled refund and a charge for the unreturned item.
4. The UPS Store #2566 Healdsburg has repeatedly allowed returned packages to sit inside the location for several days without being processed. After noticing that my Amazon return status had not updated, my sister went to the store and found my packages were still stacked in a corner three days after drop‑off.
5. The customer service at this location has been consistently poor. Employees have demonstrated a lack of training, empathy, and professionalism.
6. Due to the repeated negative experiences, I will no longer be using The UPS Store #2566 Healdsburg for ANY services.

Very expensive to print greeting cards.

I needed to print Christmas cards of my own design and thought I could have it done at the UPS Store. The UPS store site does not publish the cost per card nor for any other printing jobs. It only says to make an appointment for someone at the store. So, I did. The estimate was $281. When I picked up my job, I was charged $589. Serious sticker shock! And that didn't even include envelopes. UPS Stores need to publish costs. Obviously, employees don't have a clue.

Had "passport photo" taken for $27

Had passport photo taken for $27. It was low contrast and more important, a low resolution file. The US State Dept. requires a minimum file size of 54KB and this was 45KB. Took it back to the UPS office with proof of rejection, file data and my original receipt. The clerk said that they didn't give refunds for passport photos. I said this did not qualify as a passport photo as it was too low resolution. She said it was up to me to have known what resolution was required and to have told them. They are representing these photos as passport photos, which they are not. That's fraud. I don't know what to do next but please don't get caught in this scam. I ended up downloading a free Passport photo app. I had a friend take the photo and it passed muster the first time. As for providing the service, they did not provide the service advertised, which involves taking a competent passport photo, not just any photo. And the clerk was rude.

The staff were happy to discuss shopping and Insurance, to wait for a US check to clear, and to ship in a truly superb way. I have dealer with op the UPS stores, and clearly this level of concern and service is not standard practice, and the UPS call center for the Uk seems to be in India. But this store is quite superb, and it is a pleasure to do business with them.

Went to drop off a package and…

Went to drop off a package and apparently the lable didn't print all the way so I went back home and took the same labe back to the store at another representative type in the # but the manager said that she can't do that the store owner is RUDE and ignorant this place suck I will never go bk again

I was very impressed with Chelsea …

I was very impressed with Chelsea at your Burbank store on 3rd street. She is what I consider an outstanding employee. She made my experience at your store a pleasure. She is knowledgeable, efficient, quick, and extremely personable. She was one of the highlights of my day.

UPS store Detroit Lakes, MN

UPS store 912 McKinley Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501.
Terrible service from an employee by the name of Matt and someone online, says her name is Heidi, who claimed to be the owner, but represented herself more like a fellow employee with no customer service skills whatsoever who defended Matt like they were in an intimate relationship. She is in fact the manager and not the owner. This is an incredibly disturbing lie to perpetrate.
She basically told me they were right and didn't care about me as a customer. They charged me for packaging that wasn't required by Amazon. Thankfully Amazon reimbursed the money that was extorted from me by this hustler that works at the UPS store in Detroit Lakes, MN. Up until today I have never had an issue with customer service at this location. I will never go back. This Matt seems to think he knows everything. Amazon says he is incorrect. I believe they are just trying to make a profit by trying to intimidate customers into buying unnecessary packaging from the UPS store or they won't accept your Amazon return. So, wasteful and not very environmentally positive thinking. My return was shipped to me by Amazon in the manufacturer's box with no packaging to hide the contents. I saved all the photos and emails for documentation and this Heidi wouldn't respond, but to say, "I'm the owner and you are just a chump for me to make money from!" I'm paraphrasing of course. I think Matt and Heidi need to find a job outside of customer service. Avoid this place if you can. Terrible people to deal with. I would give half a star if I could.

The UPS Store #1500 in Okatie, SC

I went here this morning with the intention to have them later ship a small package by UPS but first I needed it weighed to calculate the shipping charges, inform the buyer so they can pay me for shipping first, and then return with a printed pre-paid shipping label. (We are not professional sellers. This was a household item.)

There was no wait. I was courteous. But the woman behind the counter REFUSED to weigh the small package, saying that if she weighs it I might take it someplace else to ship it! Even when I explained that I needed to first tell the seller the cost and have them pay me first before I return to ship it from her store, she refused to weigh it. She wouldn't even tell me what it would cost to ship it by UPS after I told her the destination!

She was extremely rude and treated me as if I was trying to trick her by weighing a package! It was fully my intention to return to this store and ship the item after the buyer first pays me for shipping and I pre-print the shipping label. Now I will never do business with this store. I will take packages to USPS or FedEx even if it's more expensive. This UPS store has the quality of customer service you would expect in Siberia, not in the usually friendly Low Country of South Carolina.

Excellent customer service; Zinet is outstanding!

Excellent customer service! Zinet is outstanding! Super friendly but also professional and very efficient! I never have to wait in line when Zinet is working! I love this UPS Store because they greet you by name and it makes me what to keep coming back and I do. I will even drive farther just to go to this UPS Store in Formosa Gardens because of the outstanding customer service!

I went to the UPS Store on Silverbell…

I went to the UPS Store on Silverbell Rd. In Marana, AZ yesterday to return an Amazon item (dog crate that was folded up). I didn’t have the original box because it was damaged beyond repair when delivered to me. This store told me the cardboard box to put the 43 inch long; 28 inch wide; and 4 inch thick crate was going to be $56.00 for the cardboard only…lol. I asked them if this cardboard box gets free Wi-Fi due to the price. I was expecting anywhere from $8-$12 for the cardboard..$56!!!!! Are they high?

From a look at the reviews...There are SERIOUS issues with UPS Store #2074 that aren't being addressed by the franchise owner.
I sent a package from UPS Store #2074 15 days ago that was supposed to arrive the next day. I was taken aback by the rudeness of the employees. I usually use USPS (Which I will from now on) and fill out the information, myself so I was unfamiliar with the UPS process. The employee didn't ask me to verify the information and told me to "SIGN HERE!" The package didn't arrive the next day. I attempted to track the package to no avail. I called the store for assistance and was treated rudely. 15 days later, I receive a very rude voicemail that the package had been returned because of no apartment number. No instructions on how to proceed, no "have a nice day"...just hung up.
I went in to get the package and was told that I could not get a refund, and that I would have to file a clam, once again treated very rudely. I went home and attempted to file a claim, I wasn't able to. I called to file a complaint about the service I received at this store, #2074, and found out that:
1. A claim isn't the appropriate course to follow, the instructions I received from the store staff was incorrect.
2. The apartment number was entered incorrectly by the UPS Store employee.
3. That I CANNOT get a refund because I signed.
How about that. Congratulations, you ripped off a disabled veteran.

Alex is highly helpful

Alex is highly helpful, A. he quickly picks the package and informs, that he has been well trained or experienced related to the AT & T Exuipment return - i moved from Department of Navy in Charleston, SC Joint Navy Base to local in Orlando, Florida 32810 - remote as a Civilian now...i wanted to personally thank for the Great job By Alex timely manner- he said they dont take cables- he knows what AT & T Wants - Amazing. Good work please put a good note for him whatever cost.
Thanks so much again -it was nice visiting the store, even though it is far off from 32810...i had gone to DMV to get change of license...from SC to FL (October 11th 2023- WEdnesday) Long due too many deadlines.

UPS and USPS have become indistinguishable. UPS used to be so much better.

My sister in law left her phone, so I sent it overnight, Saturday delivery, $165.00 from Gulf Shores to Pittsburgh.

The phone disappeared from tracking at 9:10 AM on Saturday, July 29th. It resurfaced on August 1st, 3 days later.

As of today, August 4th, the tracking still shows that the package is waiting to be picked up somewhere in another part of Pittsburgh. Thing is, my sister in law had already been advised on 2 occasions to drive across the Pittsburgh metro area to get her package, but it wasn't there when she got there. She did finally pick it up at yet another location on the 2nd of August.

I went to he store today, Orange Beach, AL, and was unapolagetically told, here's a UPS number, you gotta call them..

I did call. Was informed, "Yeah, it was a weather related thingy on Saturday, too bad for you."

I will be writing some reviews locally too. The shady treatment at the Orange Beach UPS store, before the package was ever shipped, was appalling. I never. do this sort of complaining, but based on what happened, the UPS Store experience apart from the UPS "guaranteed" shipping experience are both remarkable stories all on their own. UPS shipping or UPS store. Never again. Ever.

Exemplary Service!

I needed to have UPS pick up a small marble statuette, wrap, and deliver it to me. My local UPS told me they didn’t think UPS offered that service. They will only pick up a ready-to-go package, but they didn’t pick up something to wrap, etc.
I called the UPS closest to the address from where the statuette would be picked up, and WOW! Was I ever surprised that not only did they pick up an unwrapped piece, they wrapped the statuette in such a manner that the item weighing 11.2 lbs arrived in two boxes weighing 18 lbs of bubble wrap! I laughed while unwrapping this piece.
The store, UPS Store 12995 N Oracle Rd, Unit 141, Tucson, AZ 85739, went above and beyond what was expected of them and I am very grateful to them! A special shout out to agent Joseph. Great service!

Got clipped

I sent a fax and purchased a small box of paper clips at a UPS store in Healdsburg CA, my wife had already purchased paper clips so went to return the clips for a refund, they have a no refund policy. That's pretty tight and petty I'm doing my faxing some where else.
