Ordered GHD straighteners which arrived in amazon packaging and no paperwork (alarm bells were now ringing!!). Wanted to return them because they were faulty but found there is no return address on their website (I believe this is illegal). After a number of email exchanges (gave up calling after leaving 3 voicemail's) they eventually gave me the name of an individual and his business address. Being suspicious, called this person to find out he doesn't work for the company but interestingly....he had just ordered some GHD straighteners for his girlfriend..... it appears the variety store wanted me to forward faulty product to a new customer! I doubt I'll ever get my money back!.

KEEP AWAY! Terrible Company
I bought a pair of GHD straighteners. They arrived as a gift from amazon of a person called Aniish Biishen... bit suspicious. They Won't give refunds, they wouldn't even cancel my order just after id made it when i saw reviews and realised a lot of people had the same problems as me. even there address is registered to a different company.
Update, after speaking to a very aggressive man on the phone, who was shouting at me, he hung up on me and then sent me an email with lots of capital letters and exclamation marks. OOOOooo. Still waiting for a refund as of 20/07/15

Shocking customer service
I ordered an item from The Variety Store which (rather mysteriously) arrived in Amazon packaging. I needed to return the item but the company initially refused to pay the return postage - in clear breach of their own published terms and conditions.
After countless emails and phones calls (during one of which they actually hung up on me!) they eventually agreed to cover postage costs after I threatened to recall payment on my credit card. I am still awaiting refund and it looks as though I will have to go down that route to get my money back. The company appears extremely dodgy with the phone line occasionally 'disconnected' and outrageous customer service. The chap I spoke to there was rude, stubborn and clearly not in touch with many aspects of consumer law. Avoid at all costs.
