100% recommend this course! Just finished our sessions with Aimee and feeling much more prepared for birth and looking after our baby! Aimee has so much knowledge on all aspects of the course and it’s very engaging. No judgement and a realistic outlook on everything. Met some amazing couples and got a nice network of mums to keep in touch with :) Thank you Aimee!!

My husband and I really enjoyed the antenatal course taught by midwife Laura. She was really knowledgeable, sharing her own experience as an NHS midwife as well as a mum. The classes were fun and interactive, with plenty of breaks for refreshments which gave us a chance to meet and get to know the other couples. We appreciated how she was flexible and could accommodate a catch-up session for us when we couldn't attend one of the classes due to our shift work. We recommend Laura's antenatal class to any first-time parents like us!

We did the course in Chalfont with Gemma.
I cannot recommend it enough for first time mums, or anyone feeling anxious about having a baby. It was really informative and I feel more at ease about the entire process.
Gemma was always happy to answer any questions and has even gone above and beyond by providing ongoing support since the course has finished

Sophie was really sensitive to different experiences in the group and very approachable. A definite recommend!

We had our antenatal course run by a lovely lady called Clara starting the 4th Feb.

The class was very informative and Clara was very thorough and ensured we were happy with the information and how things were going all the way through. She would answer any questions we raised and being a midwife she knows a lot :-)

As well as the course the support and links from Clara were so helpful and can always be referred to.

Gemma's course at Chalfont St Peter was really informative and has made me feel alot more calm about the whole process of birth etc.

I would absolutely recommend The Village Midwife antenatal course to anyone who is expecting a baby! We learned so much during our course with Sophie, and definitely feel so much more prepared for birth, the postnatal period, feeding, etc. It was lovely how much of the course includes the birth partner/dad as well. I picked TVM course over other antenatal courses in the area as it seemed so inclusive and friendly, and that the groups often made and stayed friends afterwards which was really important to me - I was definitely keen to make some parent friends in the area as we haven’t lived here long!

I also did a 1-1 hypnobirthing course with Sophie which was brilliant. It was really helpful to sit down with her and discuss hypnobirthing techniques, but also my birth choices and preferences and how to navigate the postnatal period (particularly with introducing stepchildren to baby).

A really fantastic course, learnt a huge amount

This was the most wonderful course.
Kate (Taunton Village Midwife) brought so much knowledge, experience, and wisdom. Having a midwife deliver the content added a huge amount of value. Especially as Kate could give us true insights into Musgrove Hospital and support us to consider all our options and choices with ample time to plan what feels right for us as a family.

The inclusion of my partner was so welcomed as so much of the pregnancy is focused on the woman. This allowed for a real co-learning experience that gave us a lot of confidence as we explored all the areas of the course. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking for an antenatal that is a bit different and addresses a wide range of possibilities for you and your baby. That focuses on physiological birth, breast feeding, and home birth all being viable and safe options as well as advocating for all birthing choices. It truly left us feeling deeply empowered and ready for birth.

We have just finished our antenatal course with Aimee and I can’t recommend enough! The course was informative and Aimee was engaging and made you feel at ease straight away. We both feel so much more confident in making decisions about our birth preferences and about becoming first time parents!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while, but having had our beautiful little boy now, I cannot recommend these classes in Leighton Buzzard with Aimee enough! Going through the remainder of pregnancy and labour with the detailed knowledge provided gave us such reassurance and insight into options available. Now having been parents for a month the detailed birth and fourth trimester information has helped us through this first month. No question is ever silly. Aimee’s knowledge, professionalism and friendly nature mean that I cannot recommend these classes enough. Aimee’s delivery of every session was excellent throughout!

Sophie is amazing - energetic and engaging course which gives you all the tools in preparation for the big day. I could not recommend more!

My husband and I attended Antenatal courses with Aimee in November and cannot recommend her class enough.

The classes are packed full of USEFUL and ESSENTIAL information which Aimee delivered in a professional and educational way without bombarding us with loads of information.

On your first visit you are given a book containing all the handouts for the coming sessions, this book has been amazing after the course has finished to go back and refresh myself on things, its sort of become my labour/baby bible and has helped us to make informed decisions on birthing plans, feeding and how we would like to parent our child.

After each session Aimee sends an e-mail packed full of links to everything that she has discussed plus more for further reading and education. Admittedly, whilst working I did not have time to read all of these links but now being on Mat Leave I have spent my time thoroughly going over all these links to help mentally prepare myself.

Aimee is superb teacher. We cannot fault her one bit. She is warm, welcoming and friendly. She delivers her classes with 0 judgement and really no question is a silly question.

Our main aim of taking these classes was to meet other first time parents and hopefully make new friends in this next chapter of our lives. We met some lovely couples and have set a mums wattsapp group up together to stay in touch which has been so lovely to bounce things off each other and again ask all those weird and silly questions without judgement!

We attended Aimee's antenatal classes during November in Heath & Reach and absolutely loved it. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable she was also so patient and friendly! She made us feel welcome and at ease as soon as we stepped through the door. We learnt so much, but without feeling pressured into certain ways or opinions, she was very open and honest and ensured we all left understanding everything that had been covered. There was a great balance between informative discussion and practical hands on tasks within our own couple but also with other couples.
Would really recommend these classes and particularly with the lovely Aimee!

Sophie’s antenatal class and postnatal support has been invaluable to me before and since the arrival of my son.

Sophie’s antenatal class was so informative and she makes it very laid back and fun. My partner was a bit unsure about attending classes but he got so much out of it and he said Sophie made the classes much more relaxed and sociable than he was expecting. We both went into the start of our parenthood journey with confidence and knowledge. Sophie went above and beyond when I was in hospital prior to giving birth to my son, she offered so much advice and even put me in touch with someone who had been through the same situation I was in so I could ask her advice and give me reassurance. We met some lovely couples on our course that we have stayed in touch with and it’s been so great to have people in the same boat as you with a newborn.
I’m currently attending Sophie’s postnatal course and it’s fantastic to be able to get advice, reassurance and meet other new mums…she also makes you a hot cup of tea and there is always a biscuit!! We would 100% recommend Sophie’s courses to any new parents.

This was an incredible course. I learnt a huge amount from Sophie and am so thankful that I found her! I came away from the course feeling confident, empowered and knowledgeable about birth and beyond. Would recommend this course to everyone, such a positive experience. Sophie is just amazing!! Plus great value for money.
Each session was jammed full of update, evidence based research and allowed plenty of time for discussion and interaction. An added bonus was that from the course I have made lots of new friends and have a great post natal support system in place. Could not recommend enough.

My husband and I recently completed The Village Midwife course with Sophie, and we are so glad that we did. It enabled us to prepare as much as possible, physically, mentally and emotionally for the arrival of our first baby. We found Sophie being a midwife extremely beneficial, she has great knowledge of the birth and postnatal journey, and delivered the course in a fun and interactive way. It was great to meet other couples with similar due dates, share experiences and stay in touch after our little ones arrive. I am booked onto the postnatal course with Sophie which I am very much looking forward to.

My husband and I attended Sophie’s Great Missenden Antental classes and had a really great experience. Having our first baby we went in with little knowledge and came out feeling confident and full of information to take away. Excellent antenatal classes to help you feel as prepared as possible for the arrival of your little one. Our midwife was Anne and she was excellent. Knowledgeable and helpful and a super lovely person! We also had a great group of expectant parents and we are all still in touch.
