Car broke on Jan 3rd this year and like everyone else they rejected the majority of my claim and paid a small amount. Tried to tell me various reasons that changed everytime for the rejection.
After many emails (most of the team there don’t do phone calls and anyone senior aren’t customer facing to quote then).
After trying to reason with them I took them to mediation which they advised and after 10 mins they agreed to escalate and retook at the case. Said they’d respond same day but took a week to final accept they were wrong and overturned there decision.
Fast forward 4 weeks and I’ve still not received all the money. Seems they will try anything on and given every excuse why they’ve not paid the full amount.
If you have warranty and have a genuine case then push them and eventually you may get somewhere. Personally I’d avoid them like the plague in future as the time spend and stress caused has been a lot.
If i could offer any positive is that call centre staff are polite but helpless and just pass messages on and expect an email a couple of days later.
Glad it’s all over to be perfectly honest.

Very easy and cost effective way to look after your car.
Garage took care of everything including pickup and drop off.
Totally value for money.

Didn't receive a label to return my post. All & all the phone was repaired and returned back quickly.
I also think the expenses should be cheaper for the older model of phones.

All very easy to arrange. Great telephone handlers and assistance. Glad I extended my warranty that came with my van.
Highly recommend.

It is a very easy process when logging a claim. You get a quick decision. Return, repair and delivery times were fantastic. Communication was also very good and I was kept updated throughout the process.
1 Very happy customer

Very poor customer service! Pointless having warranty with them!

If i could give a 0 i would.... Don't be fooled by the RAC warranty, as it is these people providing it not the RAC. It seems by reviews they only cover the small stuff and not the actual claim limit on the policy. The staff though polite are useless and don't even know half the t's and c's of their own warranty. They are inbound call centre only and lias with garages via email. They try blaming you for it breaking or proving how the fault occured when you are not even a mechanic. They tried rejecting it because a timing chain has a serviceable life? Then because my service was done 8 days late but 2,000 miles under when it was due, (they allow 4 weeks over in the t's and c's) now the oil pressure pump chain is a serviceable item? The warranty is for 3 years from date of purchase and unlimited mileage, not the end of life of a car. If they have rejected you, take it further and battle them, im now involving my finance company (who own the car, until ive paid for it) the finance ombudsman as the warranty is being paid for under finance, plus the garage i purchased it from who i feel have mis sold me this product. I wont give this up!

I recently claimed three consecutive claims for my car from a rac warranty. All of them were successful. If you are genuine, then it's a very easy process to claim. The customer service is excellent and very helpful.

I bought a Ford transit camper van from JP Tod Commercial in Abergavenny. Paul was great . 2 weeks later developed a problem had rac out they said was injector . Had van taken back to dealership they sorted it out under warranty and got the van back to me . A week later another problem my van wouldn’t start had rac out new battery. Unfortunately that wasn’t cover by warranty. Shame as it cost me £240 . As of present I’m happy with the service. And am hoping to extend it . So for me aport from cost of battery worth the 5* review .

Look at my previous reviews. Your response on review is libellous.
You are blaming me for the car’s fault.
I had the car serviced and topped oil up.
Using 6 litres of oil in 12 k miles is abnormal.
This company are con artists!
They have called me a liar in their response.
Do not buy a car warranty as they hide behind small print.

I have to agree with the bad reviews on this site, don't waste your money for a warranty that isn't worth the paper it's written on.
I bought a car 12 months ago from a very reputable garage (Lookers) and paid for an extended 2 year warranty.
My car had a timing chain issue and once the engine was stripped they also found other issues such as the Turbo had a fault and the exhaust filter.
This company rejected the warranty claim out right, giving the reason the car was at its end of life. They took payment only 12 months ago, knowing its age and mileage, yet 12 months later, it was too old.
Frustrated and let down is an understatement. I can't tell you how much I feel like I have been taken for a ride.
My advice is stay clear of this company as they do not honour their contract or obligations.

Had reason to claim on my warranty as the car engine management light came on.
As I had a RAC warranty when I purchased the car, thought I would go to one of their recommended garages.
What a breath of fresh air it was. Took the car in and while I had a coffee the engineers set about finding the fault.
In 10 minutes they found the concern and advised of the problem.
I advised that i had warranty, so they took details and looked at the documents that i had when i took it out.
After around 10 minutes they came back and said the warranty claim had been approved so kept the car and gave me a courtesy car to tide me over.
On the evening had a note from the RAC warranty just to confirm that i had took the car in and I had actually claimed that day.
Went back to the garage the following day, car had been repaired, cleaned inside & out and the owner of the Garage Matt (Westbury Garages in Shrewsbury) gave a detailed report on what needed to be done and confirmed everything was working well.
In all my time dealing with Garages and warranty companies this is by far the best experiance I have ever encountered in my driving history (Some 40+ years.) And would definately recommend both the warranty company and that of Westbury garages Shrewsbury for an absolutely superb service & good old fashioned customer service.
Would definately reccommend to all

I had a problem with the Ad Blue Tank on my Mercedes E Class.
I took the car to my local garage and the fault was diagnosed as a faulty Ad Blue Tank .
I gave the garage my RAC Warranty agreement number and they dealt directly with the claim which paid the first £1000 of the cost .
It was diagnosed and repaired within 4 days and i just had to pay the excess over the £1000 claim limit.
Very satisfied so far.

The company's approved garages can't actually fix your car. I have a Mercedes GLA which had a gearbox failure. I was relived knowing I purchased a warranty that "covered the full cost of my car + courtesy car". I made a claim and then waited two weeks until the company's approved garage could look at my car, I was not allowed to hire a courtesy car in this time as the mechanics have to actually be working on your car for over 8 hours for you to be eligible. After my car was seen I was told I would need to wait a week to have the window wiper motor replaced as they didn't have the parts. I was still not eligible for a courtesy car. The second issue was with the gear box and the garage simply said they "DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX MERCEDES" gearboxes and that I would need to take it to the dealer. I took the car to Mercedes and phoned the warranty company to ask what the next steps would be and they informed me that they can't cover work done by Mercedes as they only cover £50ph worth of labour. I am now having to pay for the repairs (£3,650) to be carried out by myself. ZERO point in having a warranty and the system is essentially a modern day scam!!!

Another poor experience with TWG … car in the garage with sudden mechanical failure for over 2 months , independent assessor sent out to identify the fault and lists a variety of considerations around the cause of failure , all
Of which amount to sudden mechanical failure . Yet TWG have denied the claim stating the faults were prior to the policy inception despite the assessor report stating the opposite
