This is a fraudulent company—do not use…

This is a fraudulent company—do not use them.

We hired Thomas Court Services to obtain certified Nassau County court documents, paid upfront, and were told it would take about two weeks. More than a month later, we still had no completed documents, no clear answers, and almost no communication.

We had to repeatedly follow up ourselves because calls went unanswered and updates were inconsistent. Then, after all the delays, we were asked for even more money because they allegedly went to the wrong courthouse and needed to go to a “third location.”

A professional court retrieval service should know where court records are located before taking payment. Instead, we were given delays, additional charges, excuses, and unprofessional behavior.

When we finally spoke with Arthur, he was extremely aggressive, defensive, and came up with excuse after excuse instead of providing answers. At one point, he even used his injured dog as part of the reason for the continued delays. Rather than taking responsibility, we were met with hostility, more excuses and blatant disrespect while still not receiving any documents.

This was a complete waste of time and money on a matter that was extremely time-sensitive. We are now disputing the $450 in charges and filing formal complaints with multiple agencies.

Proceed with extreme caution.

Cleveland Process Servers Thomas Court Services

Thomas Court Services / Cleveland Process Servers, alleged owner Carolyn Cirillo. The company accepted prepayment, then failed to provide proof of service and failed to complete service as instructed. They claim to have served Ms. Xxxx by leaving papers with her adult son at his workplace, which is not valid service under Ohio Civ.R. 4.1(B)–(C) as far as I know. Even after arguing that it was allowable service, the Thomas Court Services / Cleveland Process Servers agent never provided the affidavit of service. Despite multiple requests (June 30–August 5, 2025), the business refused a refund, stating it “doesn’t offer refunds,” and has not provided adequate documentation of attempts. They claim they attempt delivery, but fail to properly document it, then claim you reached your limited attempts. When I asked for the contact info of the person who supposedly tried to serve the document, they refused that information. Money down the drain, but worse, the party you needed to server does not get served or the service was legally invalid. Their response is SLOW and service for me took about a month. (And it was invalid). My opinion: If you plan to use this service, just take your documents and money and flush it down the toilet.

Terrible! I truly do not want to be mean

I truly do not want to be mean, disrespectful or a pain. However, Carolyn Cirillo
Thomas Court Services

cell: (888) 629-2996

I gave you two people to serve on June 24, 2025. You served one but never delivered the documentation to the court or to me so I could file it. You never even served the other. Then, to add insult you alleged the server tried several times, blatant lie to in an attempt to justify you complied. You took payment and failed to deliver. It has been over a month, today is July 26, 2025. I know the second person is home in the evenings. I told you that many times. I even told you where she works. You simply did not perform, and you are causing me problems. Several times you made excuses. Today when I asked for a refund you sent this: "We don’t offer refunds only credit when applicable I’ll have Carolyn get back to you today." Please don’t waste your time telling me your server made several attempts. I know that’s not true. The person is a relative and has a Ring camera. Sorry you have poor service but don’t expect me to be a victim.

Unprofessional, Delayed, and Disrespectful

I hired Thomas Court Services on April 15, 2025, to serve time-sensitive legal documents with a court deadline of May 7. Despite paying in full, I received no proof of service, no updates, and zero communication until I followed up four times — only to finally receive a response filled with profanity and unprofessionalism.

The company claimed the documents were served on April 18, but I wasn’t informed of this until April 21, and even now — 10 days later — I’m still waiting on the most basic requirement: the signed SC-104 Proof of Service. I’ve since had to involve another person to file documents at court because of their failure to deliver.

Their response to my repeated, calm follow-ups? I was told to “stop the silly, f***ing threats” — an exact quote from their email. No apology. No accountability. Just deflection and attitude.

This is not a business you can trust with legal deadlines, professionalism, or even basic courtesy. Save yourself the stress and go with a real, reliable process server. I’ve filed complaints with the BBB and Attorney General, and I recommend anyone considering them do a full background check first — or better yet, avoid them entirely.
