I agree with others that customer service, reachable only by email, is fraught with misunderstandings and misinformation which led to multiple problems with shipping (including getting 2 of everything!). I haven't received the bed yet, but the nightstand and 2-drawer dresser sit too low. Also the nightstand does not have a backing, so your alarm clock and e-reader charging wires show. They do not sell any upgrades to remedy these 2 problems and they will not give you the stain color (proprietary) so that you could make your own. Also, writing the review here because there review link doesn't work!!

Just wanted to let you know my husband and I often remark to each other about how much we love our bed. I wish we had bought it sooner! The bed is quiet and feels really solid. Love the headboard.

I purchased a king size bed with the headboard. It is not sturdy at all. It sways and creaks at the slightest touch. It's my 2nd Thuma bed, the first one is perfect, and this one is just defective. We've taken it apart and rebuilt it 2 additional times to make sure, but we didn't have any of these problems with the 1st bed purchased.

There is no telephone customer service, so I've emailed and received an autoresponse that they will get back to me in 1-2 business days via email. It would be much more helpful to speak to someone rather than waiting for an email.

My husband and I cannot be happier that we decided to bite the bullet and invest in a Thuma bed instead of a cheaper alternative. The bed is ideal for renters, as it literally takes 5-10 minutes to assemble (I am not a fan of DIY at all and even I understood all the instructions on the first try) and is easy to move around in a very tight space, it is phenomenally sturdy and doesn't move, squeak or have any design flaws. Contrary to some other reviewers, I love the walnut color, though I do agree it pulls a bit warmer / more orangey in real life than on the website.

Finally, I had to travel for 2 weeks after placing the order and reached out to customer service to put the delivery on hold. They were very prompt with their response, put the shipment on hold, and made sure the bed is delivered at the right time.

All in all, I can highly recommend Thuma, it's a great product and an awesome experience so far.

Now that the the bed is here, I'm thrilled with it. The design is beautiful and solid. I hope the company creates an easier way to reach customer service because we waited two weeks for our third box to arrive and had difficulty making contact. That said, they finally wrote an apologetic email and mailed the missing box immediately. I've just erased my less positive review because I do like the product; this is the second bed I've ordered from them.

I'm a new customer who ordered a bed and two nightstands. The bed comes in three boxes and when it was unexpectedly delivered last week only two of the boxes showed up. Thuma never sent me any shipping confirmation or tracking information so I did not expect to have to move 300 lbs when I got home.... The missing box I had to assemble what I had to make the determination that the legs and slats were not in the shipment. Then the REAL problem began. Thuma does not have customer service that will answer a phone or that you can call. Instead it's send an email into the void and get an auto reply that they have up to two days to answer me. Through it all I could not get the Thuma people to understand that I don't have tracking information, they never sent it. Finally a week later a Thuma person meekly... writes back to my now 6 emails to them that one box was not delivered. You don't say.... After one more request from me..... for the tracking number it was provided and my last box is to be delivered today, maybe. Any thoughts that I did have of purchasing more from them such as the dresser are now gone I can't do business with a company that you can't speak to a human even when everything is going wrong.... So avoid Thuma, great idea, may be a good bed too we never got that far. One last thing. From the moment you place your order Thuma starts spamming you asking you to buy more things, refer others, etc. It offended me since they had not yet delivered my original purchase..... Poor form Thuma this was no way to treat a client who spent north of $2K with you. It's likely and I am being generous that the bed is fine or better but the people stateside who we have to deal with were terrible, worst ever....

We ordered the natural color in full size with the Headboard.
It was delivered more quickly than expected and in 3 boxes. The packaging was mostly recyclable (exception being plastic bag). The instructions were easy to follow and the bed went together easily (one fairly handy guy assembled it). Our Full size mattress fits it well. My guy says that the gap in the joints was wider than he expected, but the joints fit together snugly and the bed is study and does not squeak or sway. Most of the pieces are composite (joined into longer lengths from shorter pieces of wood). The color is as expected.

Professional CERTIFIED interior designer here. Ordered this for a client. a queen mattress is 60" wide and was shipped a 57" wide headboard. Their response: "The Queen PillowBoard should be 57 inches in length. The PillowBoard was designed to sit inside the edge of the mattress so that the joinery is highlighted."

What absolute BS. Never ever have I ever bought a bed frame for a client where the headboard was NARROWER than the mattress.

To add insult to injury - the Walnut stain finish was BRIGHT ORANGE. Orange as in orange soda orange. Looks terrible. No recompense or trade offered by the manufacturer. Very disappointing.

There were two orders:
ORDER-1 was to the wrong address and was cancelled immediately (but customer service took two days to respond)
ORDER-2 was to the correct address

ORDER-2 was sent to the address for ORDER-1. Customer service doesn't respond.

If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't give them my money for all the trouble. No bed, no response from customer service, and I'm out the money until it is fixed by my credit card company or by their non-existent customer service.

Great communication, fast shipping and quality product. There was a minor shipping delay with Fedex and Thuma emailed me proactively to let me know. I hadn't even noticed the delay yet. I had a very bad experience trying to buy a bed with another online furniture company recently and was super apprehensive about making this purchase but I was beyond thrilled with the service and product. Worth the price!

The hardest part about putting this together was throwing away the packaging (and I mean that in a good way)! The joints really fit together as well as they look in the promotional videos. It was super satisfying. Two people made the work quicker, but it could be done with one person. And now that it's been assembled for a couple weeks, we love it. Nary a squeak to be heard, ever. Super solid. And the pillowboard is cozy and I love that I can remove the cover to wash because I have dogs and I'll definitely need to do it eventually. Also one of the reasons I chose this bed was because there isn't an annoying deep grove that the mattress drops into that you see on so many bedframes. Its absence makes it SO much easier to change the sheets!! Seriously, that alone is worth the purchase.
I will add that unfortunately when I ordered it, it wasn't very clear that the bed was out of stock at that time, so it was a surprise when I found out a week later that it was delayed. Check all the fine print on the checkout page (even the stuff written in gray font) to make sure you're not going to have a similar delay.

I like my Thuma bed, no issues so far, have used it for 6months.

I love my Thuma bed. It is a great product. However, I had a horrific experience with the delivery of my bed. FedX dropped the ball several times. The delivery process for my bed was so terrible that I had to sleep on a mattress on the floor for an entire week before my purchase arrived. FedX had to postpone my delivery multiple times due to driver errors. Thuma I will grade B+ and FedX: FAIL- The delivery process subtracted from the joy of buying this bed. Besides that I am happy with the Thuma Bed.
