I bought a nightdress which cost nearly 100 pounds. When I tried to open the packaging it was caught under the stitching of the package so I had to use scissors and ended up cutting into the fabric which was tangled underneath the knotted envelope string. Toast blamed me entirely. Spoke to me like I was a criminal and were so patronising and rude. I’ve bought from them in the past but their customer service is arrogant and rude. Would avoid buying again. Whoever is training their customer service teams is doing a dreadful job. As I can't work out how to reply to their reply- the reply below from Toast does not state how long I had to argue until they offered to repair and send back...which was pretty arduous.

I purchased a $345 dress online from Toast, and returned it because of poor fit and disappointment in fabric and construction. I was not offered the opportunity to review the dress, so I reached out to their customer service and received a link. After submitting my fair review - outlining the limits of the item I bought- I received an email from a staff member, challenging my review. The review never appeared. I won’t be back. All reviews should be published.
Since I posted this, TOAST did indeed publish my review. Trust pilot is a great resource to consumers.

Reality check for Toast: when skinny girls get up in the reviews saying: “oh, this dress swamped me - I had to go down two sizes” - it’s humblebragging - we larger women don’t go in the comments saying “thank goodness, a sensible dress, with a bit of class, I can get into that isn’t a sack from Primark” because we don’t talk about our struggles.
Toast won’tseem to notice the big sizes sell out in a heartbeat trading for much more on the secondary market. They have scaled everything down - there is now an xxs- they never sell out, no matter how popular the item, my Xl dresses go in a heartbeat & the ones from a few years ago are at least three sizes larger then those passing for xl at Toast today.
It used to be the case that as a size 18 - 20 woman could consistently find dresses at Toast. No more & I’m not the only woman to be upset about this.
Toast your USP was elegant clothes for larger women - the sylphs don’t need you, they can go anywhere - stop betraying your customer base.
For three years I’ve shopped nowhere else, after my most recent experience, one of several like this, I will start looking for somewhere else.

Super fast deliveries, really lovely clothes and great customer service!
I'm a fan 🧡
I wasn't entirely happy with the product and shared my feedback upon request from the retailer. I received an immediate response with various offers on how to rectify the issue. There are lots of online retailers that are about take your money and run, I will buy from Toast again. I think they genuinely care about clients being happy with the purchase.
I've been buying from Toast for years. The clothes last longer, and I've even re-dyed items if the colour has faded. Zero complaints.
I have been a Toast customer for over 20 years, mostly buying in their sales. I have never been disappointed in the quality or style of the garments I’ve bought and am still wearing some items I bought over 10 years ago. However, the prices are very high, especially the knitwear and I’m disappointed that the garments are so often made in China.
I loved the friendly customer service and the layout of the shop always looks amazing. I just wish that they would introduce a more budget range. I understand that they are extrememly good quality and last a long time but I cannot jusify spending over £100 on a pair of trousers.
Beautiful dresses. Quality is one of the best. Super nice Customer Service.
I really love their style as well as the materials they use especially cotton and linen. They are comfortable to wear and something I enjoy to wear.
It was very easy to return items when I ordered something too big or small.
Recently I have lost a part of bag I bought and the customer service was excellent. The rep was very caring and the service I received was well above the expectation. They really look after their customers.
Yesterday I was in the TOAST store in Bath where some very kind staff members helped me find a long sleeveless Summer dress. I finally went for the cotton poplin stripe dress. It looks great and feels very comfortable. The ladies working there were so patient and wonderful and very helpful. I like to try clothes on in a shop rather than order online (and risk having to send stuff back…..). I have quite a few TOAST items that I have bought in various stores in the UK. I especially love that TOAST usually has corduroy items in Winter. It would be great if TOAST were to open a store in The Netherlands (where I live)!
Toast collects taxes on clothing in US states that are exempt. When I informed them that is incorrect, they advised that they collect taxes on everything to "ensure no delay" and I could go to my state revenue to get a refund. Sketchy.
The interaction with their customer service was highly unpleasant, and they kept inisting what they were doing was correct. Shoutout to Laura, "we apologize for any disappointment" this review causes.
I also discovered that they are not as sustainable/eco friendly as they claim see goodonyou.eco for more info.
So to summarize: bad service and sketchy practices. This is not the type of company they want you to think it is.

I have recently purchased the Cobalt Blue Crinkly Dress . I'm absolutely delighted with it . It's beautifully made and tailored , extremely comfortable to wear. This is definitely my number one dress for this Summer !
I bought a beautiful jumper for a little shy of £200. From Toast's marketing, you'd think everything was made by one woman in her artisan hut deep in the Welsh hills, but no, this thing came with a label attached saying it was made in China. I've seen their reply to someone else below, on this exact same matter and, I think, the exact same sweater, but it doesn't really work - China has a well-documented appalling human rights record, and is a Russian ally. Meanwhile, the UK is struggling due to Brexit. Could you really not source fantastic fabrics from within the UK to make this with?

Beautifull clothing. But I’m glad I didn’t read the negative reviews on Trustpilot before ordering. Might have cancelled. However got two dresses and a sweater and love them! Sizes are right. Changed my 4 stars into 5. Because Toast offered immediately a refund after reading that a few days after my first order my dress was on sale. I thought bad luck. But Toast saw it different and they refunded 105 euro’s! Still glad with my dress but now a little bit more.

Lovely shops and clothes. Can’t understand why their rating is so poor!
It saddens me to write this, as my husband and I are previously loyal, regular Toast customer (both online and in store) I feel completely let down by their customer service and warehouse.
I ordered 5 items in their summer sale (2 tops, 1 trouser, 1 full length dress and a bowl from their homeware section). Upon receiving my small paper bag parcel from Royal Mail I was surprised to see that it only contained the 2 tops I ordered, and 3 of the items were missing. Immediately I thought, 'Oh maybe the other items will be in a separate parcel' or 'maybe the items I ordered were out of stock as it was the sale and I will be refunded' and so I got in touch with customer service to let them know of the mistake with my order. I thought that customer service would be empathetic to the error by their warehouse and apologetic, but sadly this was not the case.
I was informed by customer service that the parcel 'weighed' the correct weight for the items. I checked the parcel information on the front of the paper bag, and indeed in small writing, it claimed to weigh 1.4kg whereas in reality it weighed 1kg less. However, when you consider the amount of items I ordered and the fragility of the bowl, logically it could never have been sent in the small paper bag packaging and could only have realistically been sent in a cardboard box.
Therefore, it can be only be deduced that the warehouse made this error on packaging, either deliberately or by mistake.
I was promised that this issue was being looked into with the upmost urgency but that the warehouse was very busy. I was told they had to contact the warehouse to investigate which would take 2-3 days. The timeline was very pressing for myself as I am due to go to China for work less than a week later and so would be uncontactable by their customer service department for 3 weeks due to this.
Sadly this timeline was not adhered to and I was left with no response and having paid for items that I had not received. No resolution was offered when speaking with their team - no refund for the missing items or replacements sent out. I am left feeling utterly let down. I have never had an issue like this happen to me before from any clothing company, and it feels especially cruel to be treated like this by a premium brand such as Toast. I sadly cannot see a future in which I (or my husband) will be purchasing from their website again.
Update 8/7
After calling again to gain a resolution, a supervisor ensured to speak to the warehouse directly and phoned me back within the timescale she promised. She was kind, apologetic and understanding and has now refunded me. Thank you for resolving the problem, I have updated my score.

The worst company to work for especially if you work in Baglan industrial. Post talbot Uk.
All because of the management. What a bunch of a hole. So bullying and creates anxiety, self questioning, unhappiness, no support, no self awareness, no self responsibility. 100% selfishness and don’t care what’s going on in your life as an employee. ..she created depression to me!! And now I’m coming through the turned!! I’ve been turned away of gaining a job that I truly want but can’t have because of her bad reference! Cheer ditch you’ve made me unemployable. You have destroying mine and my son life!!

Bought two tanks. Very nice styling and colours. It's very unusual for makers to offer interesting colours for men...the usual menu is bottle green, navy, black, taupe blah blah blah. Wool is good quality.
One 'tank', however, had a small hole where the body wasn't properly attached to the ribbing, hence the four stars.
On another negative note, why on earth are Toast's sizings so awry. I am 39" chest and the small fits perfectly. In most other brands, I am a medium. And what's with the 29" inside leg for men's trousers. Surely longer trousers could be offered and buyers could make their own choice about the correct length.

Purchased a piece from them thinking it'd be made somewhere that wasn't China. Disappointed to pay nearly £200 for something then see that 'made in China' label on there. Toast have bit of info on their site about producing there, 'traceability' and 'working conditions' but I don't think its good enough. There's way too many reasons why a company shouldn't be working within China these days.

Bad return policy
I ordered a pair of pants online. The shipping cost was 25€!
Unfortunately, the pants did not fit and I had to return them. I paid 15€ for this.
This is outrageous!
Ordered things from UK before, but never have I had to spend so much on shipping costs.
