I got scammed by Toluna
The survey was about 25 mins and I was not rewarded after completed it. Got scammed.
This company doesn't respond to…
This company doesn't respond to negative reviews and has not taken ownership of this site. The positive reviews here have been fabricated by this bogus company. If you don't fit the criteria of a survey it will cut you off, your time is wasted and no points. I got half way through 15 x 25min surveys and earnt nothing. Thats why anyone and everyone can join, they send the same survey to millions in hope that they hit their target.
Not impressed my account has been…
Not impressed my account has been suspended for ‘violating the terms’. I’ve asked for more detail as I’ve been a member for years and feel this is inaccurate and no one will reply to my emails. It’s annoying for me as I have 1 Argos vouchers sat waiting that I spent time surveying in order to get to put towards buying my sons wardrobe but no I can’t even get an answer as to whether I will be able get access to them or not and how long it may take. Seems I received a generic email but toluna are happy with that I am not!
In this day and age every little helps…
In this day and age every little helps before Toluna I don't know how I managed as since I been doing survey's it's helped not only being able to get item"s (bulk toilet paper and soap powder) direct to your door from the Amazon gift cards. You can also plant a 🌲 tree and see where it is on Google maps Great. Not to mention product testing. Yes you have to put the work in but as it's helped me by keeping me mentally active. During the death of family member as well as during Covid 19. I have nothing but 5stars for them.
It's a scam
It's a scam, they asked me to join a drinks diary, which I did, accumulating £70 reward points.
This took time daily, multiple times a day.
They then contacted me saying I had been withdrawn, due to s suspected fraudulent account. Despite repeated requests they have failed to substantiate this claim.
Don't waste your time with these
Just Another Data Mining Scam
This is just another scam to gather free data points from Pre-Survey questions before telling you the survey is full, or you don't qualify. They know if a survey has reached capacity before you try to start it, but they still allow you to complete pre-survey questions, so they can gather free data on you.
This site just doesn't get any better!
This site just doesn't get any better. I have said it before and I'll say it again. It's like trudging through thick mud to get their pages to load. Many of the surveys don't even go anywhere; just to something where you can 'Create your own survey'! So many times I have completed most of a survey and even ALL of it, only to find on being returned to the Toluna site (or not, sometimes) to find a message saying 'The survey had filled up'! Or even that I hadn't qualified, after completing the whole lot! I have complained about all these things before and got the usual runaround from Toluna, with the usual excuses. They seem to be more concerned about their competitions, games and goodness-knows what else than their surveys these days. If they can't run their surveys properly they should give them up and concentrate on being just a Social Media Site!
Not impressed!
I've only just started using Toluna, a few weeks or so. I've been using survey companies for several years now and I know how to spot which ones are legit and which ones are dodgy, unfortunately this one for me comes under the dodgy bracket. Straightaway I thought it was too good to be true when they give you points just for filling in categories of information, but I decided to give it a go. I completed a few surveys which were interesting but as my points started to add up I then started to get screened out a lot of them, frustratingly some of these were part way through surveys. The final straw for me which led to me doing this review was being told I didn't fit the criteria of a long survey of approximately 30 minutes RIGHT AT THE END! I even had the debrief thanking me for taking part, my answers will be valuable, click to submit them, etc. Then after submitting them the message saying I didn't fit the criteria, therefore they got my data without rewarding me. What a con! This survey in particular was of a very personal nature too so I'm not happy about it at all. I won't be doing any more surveys with them that's for sure. If you don't want to waste your time, my advice would be to stay away from this company and try someone reputable like Panelbase or Panel Opinion.
Waste of time
Having spent over 3 hours doing the national buyers survey, clearly stated once completed you will receive 53,000 toluna points, low and behold I only received 1200 one big con dont bother wasting your time with these. Go to Swagbucks uk there much better
Toluna revlew
I really enjoyed Toluna and liked them more than all the others but when I was ready to collect they informed me that I had lied on a survey and was desqulafide and droped out. I ask them to show me what I had lied about but they would never answer. I be done hundreds of surveys with other co. And never had a problem. I would still like to know about it. Also the money they cancelled out. And would like to contenue doing more surveys with Toluna. Thank you
Worst ever I mean ever ever
Unfortunately, I can't give 0 stars but I wanted to. So let's start.
- 5 min surveys taking 20min or 20 min surveys taking 1h for lousy points.
- I love how rigged the wheel is. I am a mathematician so there is 1 in 8 probability to get the "better luck next time". So there's 12.5% chance to lose. Incredibly the last 5 attempts I had the "better luck next time".
- the prizes are ridiculous and to withdrawal from PayPal 35£ you need 190000 points with surveys around 3000 ( rarely). Do the math. No? I do it for you.
- you are screened out for most of the surveys but if you manage somehow to get 3000 points for a 20 min survey ( that will be 1 hour) you need around 63 hours to achieve 190000. However, I have managed 8000 points in 1 month so that means that it will take me 24 months to cash out from PayPal.
My opinion? Stay away from this
Good for some, legit, bad for others.
Before i begin i must make this clear.
This is my own personal experience. It does not reflect entirely on Toluna themselves as a service. My experience was entirely negative, however, there was positives that i will explore too.
Let's start with the negatives. Always like to be different.
My experience with Toluna was interesting, for the first two days i was able to get roughly 8000 points i think, no more than that in anycase. It is however a nice amount per day considering i wasn't really sinking my teeth in. This was just 3 or 4 surveys. However, day three. I got around to sinking my teeth in, and i was only able to finish a single survey.
Now it is not on Toluna to compensate after a survey is incomplete. The reason being just that they were looking for different people. However, there is something they can do to make it easier that can be accomplished.
My situation is that i am writing, i am entering a competition with my fledgling novel, and will hopefully eventually publish. I am looking for stuff like this to help earn a bit of money while looking for jobs that are compatible with how much time i want to spend on my novel.
However, this means that for the vast majority of surveys, i have to put "Unemployed" which i believe the majority are not looking for. There are plenty that instead focus on main earner professions, but they are very rarely looking for a novelist, or a funeral admin arranger.
This basically means that the majority of surveys are focusing on the more common or most thought of, or relevant, professions to get the opinions and research that they need.
The easy solution is to simply include an indifferent tag that does not reveal anything more about the survey.
"This survey is looking for people within market research based professions"
"This survey is looking for people within 30~45 years old"
It is a solution that creates a different problem. A problem of cheaters. This can be dealt with by updating terms of service to require profiles be filled out to include this key information to ensure that it isn't constantly changing.
And changes to the profile details regarding this key information can only be changed every so often, a balanced amount that is both forgivable, and reasonable enough to prevent "Cheaters"
That's my suggestion. Now, on to the positive.
While i was not able to rely on this website (Would have taken me over a year just to get one payout if i was lucky)
Their support tickets were responsive, the surveys i did complete verified very quickly, and the amount of surveys you get is continuous and very user friendly.
The time to complete is sometimes way off, 5 minutes often taking 20 minutes, but this is more than forgivable, and is a rare occurrence.
I give this 3 stars because there are issues that people like me would instantly have to face.
But for those that do not face these issues, the website is very good.
Overall, my experience was mixed.
If your situation isn't relevant to mine, other reviews will help you get a broader view of what to expect.
A good reliable site for surveys and more
The surveys are easy but be prepared for some screening out. However, that is to be expected and elimination is quickly applied which cannot be said for some survey sites.
There are many options to try: games, short pols and topics to discuss, a daily lottery and a magazine to read as well as surveys to complete.
Some survey points are applied immediately and others take a while but I have never been let down receiving points. Do keep an eye out for rewards voucher codes on your rewards page as they do not send voucher code emails, so you must check if they have been allocated.
All in all a good site for surveys and more.
Toluna are an excellent company
Toluna are an excellent company. The surveys are user friendly and easy to complete. The rewards are excellent with a wide variety of vouchers etc, from PayPal to my preferred choice of a £15 shopping voucher sent via email and redeemable at various shops such as Tesco. The social media sites are well maintained. There are lots of opportunities to get involved to earn more points via the community pages and free games. Nice bunch of friendly users too, good for a laugh.
What are you waiting for, join now?!
I have been a Toluna member for quite a few years now and absolutely love it. It had a great community spirit, and lots of interesting things to keep you entertained and returning to earn points. I like that you can redeem your points for PayPal payment as well as gifts although it takes a while to build up enough points. There are also fun games to play which change during the year depending on the season or special events that are happening. The Toluna monthly newsletter is also interesting and they also have a content creator prize and a weekly giveaway so being an active member really pays. It's well worth joining if your not already a member.
I like the website and the number of…survey invites you get
I like the website and the number of surveys you are invited to are regular. Sometimes they can be lengthy but you do receive good rewards. There is a huge choice and you can either have Paypal or any voucher pretty much.
I like that there are quick surveys that offer you a fair amount of points and only take about 5 minutes
Easy to navigate website
You just need to be patient to wait for a high amount to get the most out of the website but if you are happy to plod on, it will pay off highly rate this
Good survey site with good rewards
Good survey site with good rewards. It can take some time to complete enough surveys to claim a decent reward but as long as you are patient then it is great! Interesting topics are posted every day for the community to discuss if you want to be involved in more than just surveys and everyone is generally friendly.
I have been with Toluna for a while and…
I have been with Toluna for a while and I love it. I do regularly go into Toluna. One thing I want to say that in week ends I hardly get to complete a survey.
Lots of surveys and if you keep it up…
Lots of surveys and if you keep it up you can earn a lot but you get screened out a lot. I take them on my phone now as for some reason I can't access them on my home lap top. I have asked toluna more than once but they always say to contact my internet provider. Which have nothing to do with it, I can access all other survey websites from my normal computer. They then say they will close your account because you don't complete the surveys which I had to explain was not my fault or on purpose
I've been with Toluna for some years…
I've been with Toluna for some years now and manage to build up points for Amazon vouchers about twice a year. It is frustrating to be screened out of a lot of surveys, or find that they have closed by the time I see them, but on the whole it is a reliable survey site, worth the effort.
It would be nice if they could arrange for surveys to hit inboxes in the morning, but that might disadvantage shift-workers so probably fair as it stands.
Toluna seem to have got much better at sending out vouchers by email quite quickly. It used to be very annoying to find that you've built up points over a few months and then have to wait another 8 weeks to receive them. The last voucher I applied fro arrived within a few days, but, of course, they no longer notify you by email so it;s up to us to keep an eye on M7 Rewards page.
