We are a little late in doing this review. But from our first visit to the Alderley Edge showroom where we met Jenny the designer who produced an amazing design that has change the whole look and feel of our kitchen and dining space into what I can only call a work of art. To the team who implemented that design led by Don Teat and Simon the fitter who did most of the work we can only thank you all for such a wonderful experience throughout the whole process. The quality of both the product and service has been of the highest standard thank to Tom Howley and everyone involved

We love our Tom Howley kitchen. The whole experience was amazing. From the moment we went into the Chelsea showroom, we were looked after and made to feel special. Our designer Elisabeth (Lizzie) took a lot of time to give us the kitchen we wanted and made sure we were happy at every stage of the process. The fitters were polite and obviously highly skilled. We remained in our family home while the installation was happening and the fitters made sure we were not disrupted more than we needed to be.

My husband and I were looking at getting a new kitchen. Having just started out search we went into Tom Howleys Bristol showroom where we were greeted by the most friendly and welcoming members of staff. We don’t have an appointment but that didn’t matter. We were able to have a look around and have a chat about what we were looking for etc. the lovely and most amazing designer Annie then came to our house to see our existing kitchen and listen to what we were looking for and also gave us ideas. From the moment we met Annie we knew we wanted her to design our kitchen and what a kitchen she designed. She listened to my wishes and incorporated every one of them into my beautiful kitchen. From the initial meeting to the fist design view then onto the final drawings she listened to every tweak (there really weren’t very many of them) that we wanted and sorted them out for us.
Each time we went into the Bristol show room we were met with welcoming smiles and were really made to feel special and that we mattered to them.

Matt our fitter was also very professional and his attention to detail was outstanding. It was a pleasure to have him at our house for the 4 weeks the install took.

Thank you to Tom Howley but especially to Annie for designing my dream kitchen. I will be eternally grateful for your charming smile and amazing design skills.

Keep doing what you are doing all at the Bristol showroom.

We recently bought a house that has a 4 year old Tom Howley kitchen fitted and there are several issues with it that needed resolving. I reached out to Tom Howley customer service to resolve these issues as the kitchen comes with a 10 year warranty...

I was told that the warranty only covers the person who bought the kitchen, NOT the kitchen itself!

I questioned this and was basically told "tough luck" but after several emails back and forth they finally agreed to come and see the issue in the kitchen and try to resolve them.

After the visit from the installation manager they came back with a quote of roughly £1000 to change 2 panels which worked out at about £100 per hour labour charges!

£100 per hour for a kitchen fitter !!!!!

Needless to say I declined their "favour" to me to resolve issue with their kitchen.

I appreciate we didn't buy the kitchen, the previous owners did 4 years before (with a 10 year warranty), but as someone who has built several kitchens myself, I have to say that the overall quality is pretty poor. Several of our doors have dropped and no longer close without pushing them very hard as they rub. The fridge door won't close properly so the fridge has leaked into the cupboard blowing the cheap laminate (it's not even solid wood!).

I gave Tom Howley a chance to show what great customer service they could have and they have clearly shown that once they have your money, they couldn't care less and would take any opportunity to make more money from you.

I would strongly suggest avoiding this company and look elsewhere.

** Update after their reply **
The drain on the fridge was blocked, but that was because the excessive amount of water running down the fridge interior as the DOOR WOULDN'T CLOSE due to it not being fitted correctly and sagging.

This also doesn't explain why 3 of the kitchen drawers have sagged and will no longer close.

Regardless of the fridge issue, the quality of the kitchen is quite poor and even Wickes kitchens are better and more realistically priced.

Reading other peoples negative reviews, I can see that a LOT of people have the same issue; once they have your money they don't care.

We love our kitchen, its even better than we thought it could be. The Bristol branch were amazing and looked after us so well. Lucy our designer was amazing it was like she could read our minds and gave us everything we wanted and more. You are made to feel like you are their only client which is very rare these days. Would 100% recommend to everyone! James and Carley

I first came across Tom Howley Kitchens a few years ago and was struck by the beauty of their kitchens and had the thought that when I bought my house I’d like to have one of their kitchens. Having looked at other companies, I kept being drawn back to the Tom Howley Kitchens company time and time again and was really confident that this was going to be the company I’d want to design and install my kitchen.

Julie in the sales office at Bristol was brilliant in creating a design for me for my new kitchen extension. The presentation was excellent but the actual reality now that my kitchen has been installed is just superb! I am so delighted and over the moon! The kitchen is stunning, absolutely first class and a show stopper for friends and family who have visited so far.

I would not hesitate in recommending Tom Howley Kitchens for anyone wishing to consider a new kitchen. The ease at dealing with the sales team and then being supported by the installation manager (Martyn thank you!) and then having a fabulous fitter (thank you Mike) who made everything spring to life very quickly and the painter who perfected all the joins and got it looking seamless (thank you Chris). It’s been brilliant! And to know this kitchen will still be looking good in many years to come as well makes it an excellent investment.

I’m a very very happy customer and looking forward to my next project with Tom Howley!

From the very beginning, the entire experience with Tom Howley Kitchens was exceptional—starting with the design process. Working with Alistair was an absolute pleasure. His expertise in kitchen design was immediately evident, and he asked all the right questions to really understand what we wanted from the space. He had a fantastic eye for detail and balance, offering insightful suggestions while always making sure the final design reflected our vision. Alistairs professionalism, creativity, and thoughtful approach laid the perfect foundation for the entire project.
Once the design phase was complete, Paul Mantell took over as project manager—and I honestly can’t imagine a better person to see it through to completion.
From start to finish, his professionalism, attention to detail, and outstanding communication made the entire process a seamless and positive experience.
Whether I had a question, concern, or simply needed clarification on something, he was always available—either answering the phone promptly or getting back to me right away. It’s rare to find someone who is not only reliable but also proactive in ensuring everything is clear and on track.

We spoke with three mid-to-high-end kitchen companies before choosing Tom Howley Cambridge. At first, we weren’t sure we could justify the cost — but what became clear was that this wasn’t simply about price — it was about value. Beyond the quality of the cabinetry and craftsmanship, what truly set Tom Howley apart was the design experience, more specifically, Sharon Dalgety.

Unlike generic layouts we were shown elsewhere, Sharon really listened. She created a design that reflected how we live and cook, offering smart, thoughtful ideas that improved the space’s function and flow. You can tell she loves what she does and takes pride in understanding her clients.

We also want to mention Julia, who helps run the Cambridge showroom. She’s welcoming, and made scheduling (and remembering) appointments effortless, you’ll never go thirsty or hungry when Julia’s around — she takes hospitality seriously!

We’ve now moved into the installation phase and are pleased that everything is on schedule, just as Sharon outlined. She continues to check in and share in our excitement — a sign of someone who really cares about the end result.

Yes, Tom Howley kitchens are an investment, but the care, quality and attention to detail we’ve experienced so far has made us feel confident it’s one that will pay off for many years.

Part 2 review installation update to follow early July.

We were very pleased indeed with the service we received from Tom Howley St Albans. Paul’s great advice regarding design and colour and his attention to detail have given us a kitchen diner and morning room that we are thrilled to be using. Paul and his colleagues were unfailingly responsive to our needs throughout the entire process.

I recently had a kitchen installed by Tom Howley, and I couldn’t be more delighted with the entire experience. From the initial design consultation to the final finishing touches, the team exceeded my expectations at every stage.
A special thanks goes to Rachel, who patiently designed the kitchen with thoughtfulness and creativity. She really listened to what I wanted and brought everything together beautifully, combining functionality with a beautiful aesthetic. The result is a kitchen that feels entirely bespoke and perfectly suited to my home.
Jason and Tony, who handled the installation, worked with real precision and care. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident throughout, and their professionalism made the process smooth and stress-free.
The finishing touches were just as impressive, thanks to Gavin, whose paintwork was immaculate. His attention to detail ensured a flawless finish that really elevated the overall look.
Finally, Don, the installation manager, was consistently helpful, approachable, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything ran smoothly. His coordination kept everything on track and made the whole experience feel effortless.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Tom Howley to anyone looking for a high-quality kitchen and an outstanding team to deliver it.

It has been a year since our kitchen was installed and I have been holding back with my review as we have mixed views. We used the Tunbridge Wells showroom and our review is based on this showroom and the sub contractors they engaged to install a Kitchen and Boot/Utility room.

Design:
The Designer Sophie and her colleagues were lovely and the showroom and design experience was as expected 10/10. Note she visited site once and didn’t visit site after the design sign off and with no further contact once handed to the Site Manager.

There was a red flag which I should have picked up, it was indicated by the showroom prior to the install and after signing off design that one of the Site Managers they use wasn’t that great and unfortunately I guess we got him. It does highlight they are aware of the issues their clients have faced and have not resolved this internally so repeat known issues with customer service. As they use contractors I guess it is the luck of the draw for the client.

Service:
Site Management 0/10 He didn’t answer his phone, no customer service skills at all. He arranged wrong items which were delivered on repeat, no show when he said he would be coming to site as standard visit. We did contact the showroom re the Site Manager when the kitchen was nearing completion and following experiencing the several no shows, no updates or return calls basically poor client service. They were sympathetic and said customer services would be in touch, but never heard from them on this. The sad thing is there were no major issue with the install it was standard installation situations but the fitters confirmed he was known for his poor communication with clients and had a different number for them and another for the contractors to reach him.

Fitting contractors 10/10 Frank the contractor and his team was as professional and helpful as the Site Manager lacking.

Quality: Visually the kitchen is lovely but the quality is disappointing. There are only 2 of us with no children. There are paint chips and the wood easily marks, perhaps it was the style and paint we chose but based on previous kitchens I have had, my parents and friends have, it is disappointing for the ‘quality’ level promoted.

Would I choose Tom Howley again? The showroom experience delivers 10/10 but based on the Quality of the kitchen and experience with the Site Manager sadly it would have to be a no.

Score: If the quality was there it would be a 3/5 overall.
Not dealing or resolving with contractors previous customer service issues is not good and letting customers know they know this. Explaining the 2 deductions but the quality should be consistent and priority hence 2/5 score overall.

From the moment we walked into the Tom Howley showroom in Tunbridge Wells, we knew that we wanted to work with them to create our dream kitchen.
Tim Smith, our designer, was fantastic. He listened to what we wanted and really made an effort to understand our lifestyle to ensure our kitchen was practical as well as beautiful.
The admin process was clear and efficient, and communication was excellent throughout the project.
When the day came for the furniture to be delivered, we met Glen, our fitter, who was cheerful, professional and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The kitchen looked amazing when he had finished. Gary, the supervisor, made regular visits to check that all was on track and that we were happy, which was much appreciated.
And lastly, we must mention Paul, our painter, who spent 3 days painstakingly filling, rubbing down and
painting the kitchen.
We are now enjoying using our beautiful new kitchen every day!

Superb service from Tim, Victoria, Gary and Glen (Tunbridge Wells branch) three years ago with initial installation. Great customer service from Tim and Victoria three years on. Cannot recommend more highly.

Tom Howley delivered on all fronts. We had an exceptional experience throughout the project from design phase to installation. A shout out to Tim and Ian who navigated the challenges and constraints of a period property apartment and delivered to our expectations. Andreas’ attention to detail applying the final coat of paint to the woodwork was the cherry on top! We got what we paid for and more!

This time last year we decided to embark on the project of a new kitchen. We knew we wanted it to be elegant as well as durable.
We visited various showrooms but Tom Howley certainly had the wow factor. Our kitchen designer Nina at St Albans was amazing at every step of the way; listening to what we were aiming to achieve, giving us constructive ideas and helping us visualise our dream kitchen.
Our kitchen was fitted by Mark
at the end of August 2024 and communication between the various individuals was exemplary. Like everything in life. some things didn’t go to plan but this was rectified immediately. Our site/installation manager Richard was brilliant as well as the painter Alfie.

Received fantastic service from both the Brentwood and Cambridge showroom designers. They were so knowledgable and talented and bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. The kitchens are such good quality and we would highly recommend.

A chance walk past the Tom Howley Harrogate showroom in 2023 gave impetus to our vague notion of a ground floor renovation. The thought of putting in such a kitchen crystallised us into going ahead with the refurbishment in June 2024. We visited the Tom Howley showrooms nearer home and also researched other kitchens in the same bracket as those we’d seen in Harrogate.
We met Sandra the Tom Howley designer at the Wigmore Street showroom. She encouraged us to go ahead with the kitchen design phase of the project. During our many meetings, she patiently took into consideration our ideas and needs for a beautiful but functional kitchen.
Sandra completely appreciated the need to keep within our budget and she helped us tweak the design while not compromising on appearance or function. Sandra expertly helped us choose appliances and provided us with the make and model numbers of appliances that we decided to source ourselves. The appliances as well as the worktop, which we also sourced ourselves, fitted into the final kitchen perfectly.
During the design process Sandra visited the house while still in construction. She gave us confidence about the design of the planned kitchen and was very positive about the building work.
It’s a pity that Tom Howley gave a rather long lead time between confirming the kitchen design and installation. It led to some delays with the completion of our project.
Also, delivery of the kitchen furniture was not as smooth as it should have been. The kitchen came assembled and not flat packed to take account of restricted access. To help get the furniture in, our front door had to be removed but there was some damage to our walls as well as surface damage to the cabinetry. Some units had to be dismantled before bringing them into the house.
However, Mark, the Tom Howley installer was experienced and dealt with the situation calmly. He assured us that once installed, the kitchen would look show-room perfect (and, indeed, it does!). The installation manager, Paul, liaised between Mark and the office to ensure that the matter was resolved to our satisfaction.
Installation took several days of Mark’s meticulous and diligent work; every little detail was attended to. The result was perfect, a huge testament to Mark’s skill and experience. Stan, the Tom Howley painter made good any remaining scuffs and slight indentations.
We now have a stunning Tom Howley kitchen to be very proud of. It’s received huge praise from our (often very honest!) family and friends.
Were it not for the long lead-in time and the delivery snag (of not allowing for restricted access), we'd have happily given 5 stars.

I could not rate Tom Howley more highly. I have been truly impressed by the excellent service throughout and the quality of the finished kitchen. The team working on this project have been outstanding: Lucy (Designer) provided much guidance throughout the design process, balancing practicality, symmetry and ‘feel’ and which has resulted in a lovely open/airy but also hard-working kitchen; Helen (Installation Manager) coordinated the installation process efficiently and without delays and was always on hand to follow up on any questions/issues; and last but not least, Chris, Tom and Joe, who carried out the fitting and painting of the units, and whose workmanship speaks for itself (everyone is commenting on the impressive quality of finish). Together, they have created a beautiful and very practical space having navigated all the challenges an old Victorian building and a relatively small space can throw at them. It was a big investment, but the superior level of service offered at every stage of the process (including the aftercare available) and the quality of the resulting kitchen has made it worth every penny.
