Update 10/10/25 I’ve now used this for a few days now and it’s not as quick as I once thought. I counted and it takes up to 30 seconds for the thermometer to finish its reading. I’ve waited until the last memory is off the screen to put it under the armpit and I’ve also tested it straight away and it still takes longer than the advertised 8 seconds. Is this product faulty or are they all like this? Just as good as the Vicks thermometer. It's quick to read and has the light up features. But what I like about this the most is the fact that you can EASILY find and replace the battery. This takes a CR2032 whereas the Vicks thermometer takes the CR1225 which is hard to find and when you do find it the battery is old. Thanks Tommee Tippee for creating a thermometer and improving on it
