I’m sorry, but this product is absolutely terrible. From setting it up we’ve had nothing but problems with water spilling everywhere to the formula measurements not aligning. This was purchased as a gift for us from my in-laws and if it hadn’t gone past the return day I would absolutely be sending it back. It’s a complete waste of money for how expensive it is.
So at first I had some issues with my original product which wasn’t even bought directly through tommee tippee but as there was a fault they replaced it within a week. And another thing with the fault as the machine is quite sensitive it did actually stop making her bottles which is good because otherwise it may have been making the bottles incorrectly. This way I knew there was a fault straight away and was able to get it sorted very quickly so that we could continue to make safe bottles for her. When the new one arrived I had a few issues setting it up as it is quite a complicated set up but I contacted customer support which was so helpful they were responding to me at 1am! (Not a robot either) I got it set up and it’s been a god send it has genuinely made life 1000x better and easier. Only thing I would maybe suggest is slightly more detailed instructions and possibly a longer instruction video as most mums setting this up are sleep deprived and could do with more details haha :) but all in all super happy absolutely amazing customer service. I use nearly the whole tommee tippee eco system from bottles to thermometers, uv steriliser, night lights, teddies and more now this I’m super impressed and I’m looking into the 6 in 1 food prep machine next!!
Fantastic product. Every baby should have this product! It makes up feeds so easily and quickly. Takes the stress out of making up a feed when baby is crying. The price is good value. Once you have used this product there is no going back. Only slight improvement needed is that when the water is low, it seems to redo the hot shots. You just have to make sure you avoid pressing the button to activate the shots twice. The other slight issue is that the light stays on for too long after the feed is complete. I keep the product in my bedroom at times so this can be a little annoying. None the less, its a god send.
We have twins and this is a life saver. It’s used multiple times a day. The calibration is a bit fiddly to set up the first time, but watch the YouTube videos and it’s straight forward to follow. Once it’s set up properly it makes bottles very quickly.
We have your perfect prep pro machine and it’s absolutely rubbish! • It takes at least an hour to calibrate, plus you need to calibrate each bottle feed and dosage separately. If you calibrate with a dry bottle but use a newly wet/ sterilised bottle it comes to the wrong measure • the machine is constantly failing, random error lights and no support in troubleshooting… we are constantly guessing on what’s gone wrong?? • the cord is tiny, meaning you are really limited on where this machine can go in the house • the machine only works in fluid ounces, with no option for ml A good idea, terribly executed @tommeetippeeuk
Regret buying this – causes more stress than it solves I really regret buying this Tommee Tippee machine. It’s supposed to take away the stress of making bottles, but every single day there’s some sort of error. If the powder isn’t perfectly level and stacked toward the chute, it just errors out - which means I have to throw away the powder, wash and sterilise a new bottle, and start again. Not ideal when you’ve got a screaming baby waiting to be fed. Even touching the buttons slightly too hard or holding them a moment too long causes another error and forces a full recalibration. It’s far too sensitive and temperamental. In theory, it sounds amazing - a quick and easy way to prepare bottles - but in reality it’s just too faffy and unreliable. The constant error messages honestly give me anxiety about whether I’ll even be able to make a bottle when I need to. I really wish I’d never bought it. I bought it through Boots and now I am stuck with it. Total waste of money.
Useless product. Save your money and buy the original perfect prep, which is way more intuitive and does the exact same thing (except you have to measure your formula). This product does NOT mix formula for you, and is way more complicated to figure out. The setup said it would take 16 minutes - it took hours and made very little sense. We hope to return product.
We heard great things about the previous two Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep models from many of our parent friends and the great reviews for them online. On that basis, we decided to purchase the PerfectPrep Pro which was brand new to the market when we were looking and had no reviews. I honestly can't emphasise enough how much I regret this purchase. The setup instructions breezily say it takes 16 minutes. All in, it took me about ten hours over two days on my last childless weekend before my baby will be delivered - which is time I can't get back and frankly infuriates me! The set up instructions just simply don't correlate with what you have to do to get the machine working. The instructional videos are of no further help and skip through the trickier bits (and there aren't any others made by third parties yet to assist). The machine feels wholly unintuitive and relies a lot on its buttons being pressed in different ways (e.g., when the video / instructions say "press" they mean literally tap as quickly as you can, and "hold" is really push down hard for an arbitrary amount of time). There is no certainty to completing each step - lights just randomly flash and you have to sort of pray very hard you've done what is necessary to move on. Please save your money and buy the earlier model that everyone raves about. I would 100pc have returned this and done the same had I not accidentally thrown the box away with a load of other baby equipment boxes!
Do not buy this product. Not only does it take forever to make a bottle - much longer than the older model and is far noisier - for any bottle at 120ml the milk is too hot. We have bottles that show when the temperature of the milk is safe to drink and using this milk it didn’t cool down. This is dangerous for a newborn and something the manufacturer needs to recall and fix urgently. What was wrong with the older perfect prep?
We bought a Baby Brezza but wasn’t happy with the performance as a few bottles were made cold so switched to the Perfect Prep Pro and absolutely love it. Easy to set up and use and we feel more than worth the price. Bottles are made in seconds, which is especially great for combi feeding as our baby is used to milk straight away. I’d definitely recommend this over other brands!
This is such a faff to set up, keeps getting stuck in a loop hole then says insufficient formula has been dispensed. - very frustrating although Izzy was supportive and trying to talk through things. Bit concerning you have to USE the machine to get it going but then cannot return it because its been used?! Makes no sense and leaving a sour taste in my mouth waiting on izzy and the team to come back to me as this product isnt so "perfect" Also doesnt dispense less than 4 oz either - not the biggest issue but cant be personalised to what you need. Babies dont drink the same amount at every single feed just like adults dont get hungry and eat the same quantity everyday
Absolutely terrible. Save yourself the frustration and your £180, this thing belongs straight in the junkyard. Setting it up takes forever, and the amount of maintenance it needs is beyond ridiculous. Sure, it pretends to save you time making a bottle, but don’t worry, you’ll lose all that time back (and then some) dealing with its constant failures. This useless machine messed up so many times we wasted an absurd amount of formula. And the water? Always too warm. You’ll find yourself changing it over and over because, of course, the machine refuses to work otherwise. Honestly, I wouldn’t keep it even if it was handed to me for free. Paying £180 for this disaster is a joke.
It failed our expectations: does not provide a ready feed, way too hot, overheats, and stops working if the prep machine gets too hot (even with mild temperatures outside of no more than 22-23). Despite admitting that the 'hot shot' may be responsible to warm up the water tank, customer service did their best to avoid a return or warranty claim. They pushed back on us repeatedly, even after going through so many hoops and providing every proof the issue was not coming from our home setting. The solution(s) they proposed aren't sustainable long term, and aren't present on the machine's product page... this is pure false advertising. We purchased from TT before, and wanted to in the future, but now that we experienced their customer service, we will go elsewhere. Thank you very much.
Do NOT buy! Lovely concept but so many things wrong with it… the noise the powder dispense makes wakes up the whole house, the machine often overheats so you have to refill the water, the speed at which the water comes out is so slow. I have timed it and it is quicker using a kettle! Have tried to speak to customer service for a refund but keep being told how to do things with the machine, the machine is just not made well! Supposedly this machine is stress free, it’s far from it!!
Pros: Great machine that holds much more water than the previous model. Aesthetically looks good too. Easy to make a bottle once set up. Cons: The set up is absolutely terrible. I’d recommend a video tutorial as if from 2 hours to set up. The instructions were atrocious. The formula dispenser is horrendously loud and wakes the whole household up at night. You can only use one type of bottle with the set up so if you like to use different style bottles you need to choose just once style as the dispenser only allows for one weight bottle. You have to set up every single weight variant before hand, but surely if the machine knows what one oz is it can then work out all the different increments? I’d also like to see the machine make from 1oz (4oz is the smallest bottle size you can make and sometimes you just need a small top up) - on the whole it’s much better than the traditional way to make a bottle.

The Perfect Prep® Pro has built-in scales that automatically tare the weight to zero once the stacking cup and bottle are in place. This means it only measures the powder, not the bottle or cup, so you’ll always get the correct amount, regardless of which bottle you use. Also we've got some great video's in our Tommee Tippee app including a 'set up' video.

Abit difficult to set up but the app talks you through everything you need to do! And let's you know when you need to change filters/clean the prep machine. Nice and quick at making bottles!
Love this- use it ALL the time!!!
