After reading the bad reviews about the web site I instantly started to get worried about my order and had wished to do more homework on the site itself. I then decided to give the company a call just to get an update on my order and found out that they immediately shipped my order out and where very courteous. I also found out that the same company runs Realtruck.com. I will be doing more business with tonneaucoversworld again.

Oh how I wish I had dug deeper into the reviews. Promised ship date and have moved it out at least twice now. Can't get a promised date, I'm calling them every single day now. Website is still misleading everyone saying it'll ship in a week.
Used a gift card to purchase this and it probably won't accept a refund from them.
I should have spent $30 more and bought local.

This company is quick to take your money then give you quick shipping dates that change numerous times. 26 Sept order date for 6 Oct delivery date. Changed to 14 Oct ship date for 20 Oct ship date. I finally cancelled as I need to protect my stuff now not months later. Ordered from RealTruck.com on a Sat and already shipped out the same day with a FedEx tracking number of a Weds delivery date. Now we'll see how hard Tonneau Covers World makes cancelling and refunding my order.

I am not happy about the new roll up tanneau cover I purchased from covers world
They advertised "No Drill" install using what looked like nice clamps, even their install video shows using clamps. I ordered the one for my 2021 GMC Sierra and what does it have? BOLTS and instructions to DRILL into the side of my truck bed side rail. And the clips provided are terrible.

Kept me on the hook for weeks

They changed the ship date three times. I finally got fed up and cancelled my order. After receiving CONFIRMATION my order was cancelled they still shipped one of the items. I was not allowed to refuse shipment as it could jeopardize a refund. It took two weeks to finally get a return authorization. Took it to fedex the next day, and they had promised immediate processing of refund once the label was scanned. Days later I had to yet again check. Was told 1-2 days and would receive notice the refund was processing. It has been three business days and continued silence.

Bought cover Feb 9 2022 sent wrong tie down brackets have been trying to get the correct brackets for 2 months. They blame manufacturer and manufacturer blames tonneau cover world. Do not buy from this company. You will be sorry.

60 days late in shipping product, then shipped wrong product. Substituted a different tonneau cover, which does not stay in place (junk), and now will not cover their warranty because it's been more than 30 days. We filed a warranty complaint 15 days after we got the cover. We've been hassling with these clowns for 5 months! They just do not want to cover their products. Do business someplace else.

Horrible customer service. Don’t waste your money with this sad company

Not sure what company most of the posters dealt with because my experience with them was outstanding.
I ordered a Flip Bak Tonuea cover on a Friday and received the following Thursday.

Before I ordered a tonneau cover I did a live chat and asked if the cover was in stock. They told me yes and said it would be shipped next day. It did not ship but they charged my credit card. I contacted company and they did not address the fact that they lied to me. They said “The item you ordered has a minimum allowance of 20 business days to have all orders processed, made, and shipped.” Obviously they do this to get orders instead of honest companies that tell the customers the items are on back order. I assume all their different websites do this, including RealTruck and BakFlip. I see now why a lot of once good brands have terrible customer service now that they were bought out by an investment company under the name Truck Hero.

I purchased a tonneau cover that promised shipment within a week. Three weeks later, after being charged over $1,800, I have received three boxes from TonneauCoversWorld, each of which contained parts of a previously opened tonneau cover for my truck, but not a complete cover. Apart from purchasing a new cover (not open box), several necessary components of a functional cover system are still missing. After three tries, and several calls, emails, and chat messages. They appear intent on keeping my $1,800 while never actually sending me the product that I purchased. Difficult to tell if this is an elaborate fraud, or if they are really this incompetent.

I ordered a Tonno Pro the day I bought my new Tacoma. The estimated shipping was Aug 4. I contacted the company on Aug 5 to see what the status was and they said I had a 10 to 12 week wait time since it was coming from the manufacturer. I then cancelled the order and received a ticket number. They also stated the order would not be considered cancelled until their warehouse verified it had not shipped. Two days later I got a shipping notification saying it should ship between the 11th 16th of August. I submitted another ticket and got the same reply about verifying that it hadn't shipped before cancellation. I tried to call and was told I had a 2 hour wait time. The worst part is they charged my credit card the day I ordered and still have not shipped it.

I wish I had read all these negative reviews prior to ordering from Tonneau Covers World. I was promised 2 day shipping by Raul T as I needed a cover prior to driving cross country. The cover did not arrive as promised and after postponing my trip by days had to make a cover out of plywood. The cover finally arrived 5 days late and I had already moved. The cover is sitting in Reno waiting for a RMA that has never been issued. I am 3000 miles away, have no cover and am out $1100. Customer service is hands down the worst I have ever experienced.

I'm only giving 1 star because that is the least this tool allows. I ordered a cover and one day later received a "shipping update" for several weeks later. I cancelled that order and ordered a different cover that claimed "expedited shipping". Once again, after charging my cc they sent a shipping update for weeks later. I'm still trying to get a refund for the 2nd cancellation. It's been over a week and they my cancellation is "pending". Everytime I contact them I get a different story "I'm in sales; can't help"; "(insert name) is processing your cancellation and refund now"' etc.

I purchased a Tonneau cover in the middle of March of this year (2021). I was not informed about any delays in delivery of my cover when I purchased the cover over the phone with a representative. I was later informed (2 weeks) that my order would be shipped early April.
About 2 weeks after that, I was informed that my cover would be completed from production on the 22nd of April and would ship on May 5th.
Today (April 26) I received another email stating the cover will not ship until May 28th! Seriously? I have had enough with the wait time on the delivery of my order! Why is there such an issue with getting my product? I have NEVER had such a problem with this company until now. This is going to make me not order from them ever again and leaving a bad review! I can't deal with the incompetence any longer! If they use the excuse of COVID-19 being the answer, that to me is just a cop out for bad customer service! I need answers and a solution which they are not giving me!
I am a very disappointed customer right now!

Do not order from this company! Order placed on March 3rd, and is now March 16, I received a second estimated delivery email, stating delivery would now be as late as April 5.
Hoping, and praying, that we get a full refund, because they did not waste any time in taking the money out on March 3, but still will not ship any time soon.

placed my order and got a delivery date. after my delivery date i got an email saying it was delayed. after a month of getting repeated delay notices I contacted customer support to figure it out. they sent me an email saying it had been resolved. i figured that meant i was getting it. no they delayed it another month. so two months after they got my money still no cover.

This company keeps you on the hook with promises of ship dates, only to disappoint. They said 10 days and now they keep moving the date, now looks to be closer to a month. I have asked them to cancel my order after reading the reviews of the company. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from them. If you are reading this before you order, don't order from this company, they don't communicate well at all.

Ordered a cover for a Toyota Tacoma and received the mounting hardware for a Nissan Frontier, called customer service to have them send me the correct hardware and was asked to send photos of the hardware that was sent. Then was told it would be reviewed by a “specialist” to see what they could do to help. Very simple fix, just send me the correct hardware! I now have a cover that cannot be mounted to my truck and am stuck waiting to hear back from a “specialist”. Terrible customer service, buy your cover elsewhere!

I ordered a gator fx3 on Nov 7th from there website... it is now nov 25th and still has not shipped and just got an update delivery will now be 3rd week of dec. I'm canceling my order as soon as I can, if I can get a hold of anyone!!!!!! This company sucks go through the manufacturer.
