Delivery first class, product first class - I hope anyway - this is a birthday present for my husband - so it looks lovely

G&S Timber really have got it together. I buy ash dowels from them for making lances for mounted skill at arms. They always choose straight grained timber for me and my clients have not been dissapointed. Delivery times have improved as have costs since they have purchased new machinery so they cannot be faulted. My only gripe is that since they have made ordering on-line so easy I do miss talking to the guys to place my order. Having said that I am rather old fashioned and make lances.

Cannot find fault, the website is simple and easy to use. The ordering process went smoothly and the goods were delivered within a couple of days. Would happily recommend G&S Specialist Timber :)

My small (for a commission) order arrived today, it could have been packaged in a lot less bubble wrap and still have got here unscathed but that's a minor thing, just rather wasteful of Bubble wrap; but the product, appears to be good quality and as expected, I start work on it tomorrow without any doubts.
Is it me or is asking for feedback before the product has arrived as they did, just a bit too pushy?

Excellent service from a company I have never dealt with before. Even though the product is currently out of stock (I knew this when I made the purchase) Matt has been honest and given me a realistic expectation of an expected delivery date. I am confident that he will do all he can to meet this expectation, and keep me informed along the way!

The order process was simple, and the periodic messages were humorous but pertinent. The email confirmations were informative and complete. All in all the whole purchase was very enjoyable

After trolling thru many sites ,mostly american ",where you get anything craving related" i came across tools and timber ,as if by magic there was what i was looking for,manageable and affordable pieces of lime wood,order place and order received promptly,Once i have used this lot ,i will certainly be placing further orders,thank you tools and timber.

My first order, was just 4 pieces of wood for carving, I placed my order and could not believe the fast delivery time, the bloks were of a good quality and well packaged,this was my first of many orders to come in the future

I needed a oak dowel quickly as I was on site and at a good price. This company delivered on both counts.
The 25mm oak dowel could have been smoother as a little rough. Needed a good sand hence only 4 stars.

Good quality item, well wrapped and quick delivery.

The website is good with a very good product range at reasonable prices, delivery is very fast & the product when received is of a very high quality, my only criticism is that the check out is a little long winded.

My order was delivered in perfect order in less than 24hrs. I was very plesently surprised when it turn before lunch the next day.

If all online buying was as efficient and painless, life would be a marvel. As I get older I'm doing more and more of it. In preparation to retiring in 2013 I have taken up wood carving.
G&S's stocks of carving quality timber is good and is developing, one thing is for certain, this customer will be coming back for more.......KEEP IT UP G & S !!!

It,s a pity all online shopping, is not this good.
