Black mold on house walls

We had our house coated by Topcote in Dec 2022 / Jan 2023. In February / March 2024 we noticed patches of black mold had appeared on some of the walls and this has spread greatly over the last few months, making the house look unsightly. Like others of you we have contacted Topcote by letter, email, text and phone but have not received an acknowledgement. I have been in touch with Citizens' Advice who will be reporting Topcote to Trading Standards. It is important that everyone does this so that Trading Standards realises the extent of the problem and starts an investigation into the company. Please do not use this company. They can ruin your house and your life!

Dreadful after care

House re-rendered only 18 months ago and now needs attention. Tried ringing on daily basis and also emailed on several occasions.
No response at all.
Looks like guarantee not worth the paper it is written on.
Don't touch these guys with a barge pole.

Terrible company

Terrible company. We have been trying to get them to respond to phone calls, letters etc since before Covid. No one ever responds. The product is terrible and is flaking badly after just a few years. The twenty years guarantee is worthless. Do not use them.

I am appealing to future customers we had our home top coated in January 2022 by Top Cote guarantee for 20 years Order No 1080147/10452.
We noticed 10 months later the coating was washing off and looks a mess. My husband has been calling regularly over the last 14months, the company will not return his calls. Seems we will be unable to get this problem solved and they have not replied to trading standards. Each time the receptionist says we will get call back.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, the guarantee is not honoured, I get no response from emails or telephone calls. The colour is not stable and the coating falling off after a few years. More difficult to maintain than the underlying render. Very disappointing.

Shoddy work

I had a bad experience the company came back on three occasions to finish a bad job. I have tried to contact them on about six occasions and have received no reply. Once you have paid a great deal of money I.e. £13,000 they are not interested and their guarantee is non-existent.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I had the whole house coated and all appeared to be ok,
1 year later we discovered that the coating became see through in many areas. Wish i'd never agreed to this service. Very expensive. I've been trying to contact them on their phone and email for weeks now with no response whaysoever. I recently learnt that they are instructed by the owner to ignore all incoming enquiries of complaint.

I had Topecote's product on my property…

I had Topecote's product on my property in July 2021, pretty expensive but went ahead, all seemed pretty good, happy with the result until I noticed some thin cracks appearing, I contacted the salesman and told him about the cracks, he said someone would be with me late end of the summer to rectify the cracks. No one ever came so I rang him a few weeks ago, he has now left the company after 21 years, stating he wasn't happy with their customer service. I ring them every day and leave a voicemail (as no person ever answers the phone) hoping I will get a call back...I never do..I have e-mailed them, No Reply..some 20 year guarantee !! ..I would not recommend this company.

Avoid at all costs

This company are all over it providing their quotes and seeming really knowledgeable and professional.
But if you have any issues afterwards then that’s where your problems will begin. Blocked, not answering calls. Not to mention this company are not registered at companies house nor do they have a physical office. It’s all extremely shady. The guarantee isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. We are having to go the court route to get our issues of blown paint resolved
