Useless tool and extremely poor…
Useless tool and extremely poor customer service. Tool, Brad gun - stapler requires two hands on tool to use therefore can't be used as bradder or stapler as you need one hand to hold workpiece or stretch fabric. Avoid tool and this company at all cost as they don't believe in honest advertising or publishing negative tool reviews. Further to writing this review Topmaq have replied upon viewing this message and apologised for my negative experience! No mention of a refund or the useless product or their abysmal customer service. This reinforces my opinion of this Company and this tool-AVOID TOPMAQ AND THIS TOOL AT ALL COST, Pathetic. Further to Topmac responding to this review puplicly apologising for my'negative experience' I have yet to get a reply from the company directly regarding a refund for their useless tool. Again avoid this company at all cost.

Ordered a tool
Ordered a tool. It was delivered in damaged condition. Said I had damaged it and refused to replace. A dishonest outfit. Will never go near the place again.
Expired discount honored
They applied a discount in which I missed the special of a product by one day (Sunday and they were not open), great service!
Crap tool
Crap tool, crap customer service BS, crap company, crap warranty, crap experience.
I have purchased a few products from topmaq
I have purchased a few products from topmaq and what I like so far is that all of those products have been good quality. I hate the fact that so much of what I buy these days is cheaply made and craps out soon after purchase (I am not referring to topmaq products when I say this but products from most other places). Having said that of the products I have purchased from Topmaq only one I have had for a reasonable amount of time, that is a generator I brought about 2 and a half years ago which has been very reliable and still is. I feel like I can rely on it to start and run in a power cut.
The other items I have purchased were:
A warratah/steel post banger. To me these are pretty self explanatory not really any parts that can fail
And in the last few weeks some of the Nordic power tools and a 12 v battery charger. All of these are performing well so far but it is far too soon to know if they will last long term. They all seem to be well made though.
I can’t comment on returns service as I have not had to return anything (I can say if they tried to charge me a 10% restocking fee like someone else claims they did I’d be fighting that one all the way lol).
I also recently purchased some additional batteries for my Nordic tools (the original battery is fine, but I brought three ‘skins’ and was tired of switching batteries so purchased more, which I had always planned to do)
Anyway they didn’t have everything I needed in their store room which is on main sth road, so I had to go to their storage warehouse in some obscure place near hornby. What annoyed me with that is that I only had to go to the showroom to pay and get a print out that I had to take to collect the items at the storage in hammersley(sp) place. I can’t for the life of me firgure out why they could not have let me do a click and collect online and from that generated something that they could have sent to me via email that I could have then taken in to their warehouse and shown to someone there then they go get my stuff. They said the warehouse is 5 mins away, but while it is close geographically it seems to be some sort of a rat warren of streets to actually get there so is more like 10-15 mins extra to go there to pick up. So a pick up that could have taken me 10-15 mins in total instead took closer to an hr. To me this is an easy and commonsense thing to fix. Have your system send buyers of click and collect something they can show your warehouse team to to get the stuff. If it needs to be verified then add a scannable code to the click and collect receipt that is emailed.
On the same topic, I did a click and collect another time and never got any email confirmation or receipt. When I got there they found my purchase pretty quickly and there was no problem, except this along with the convoluted system to collect goods might imply that their IT systems could do with some improvement.
So to summarise, customer service, fine, not really had a chance to test it, products, so far good, better than most and seem well made, it systems could do with improvement. I am so far very happy with all my purchases and gave them a 4 out of 5 for the mucking about picking stuff up rather than product quality.
I do intend to purchase from them in future again because my experience so far has been that their products are of better quality than the cheaply made crap you get a t most places and I am prepared to put up with some less than ideal processes and systems in order to get reliable products. I did for a moment this week though consider getting my 12 v battery charger elsewhere simply due to the mucking about I was going to have to do to pick it up, but in the end the fact I wanted two more batteries for my power tools, plus the fact the charger I was wanting to get seemed more solid and well made than the plastic crap elsewhere meant I took the extra time to go to topmaq. Hopefully next time I buy they will have the stock, in the showroom or have systems in place to allow me to pay online and pick up from the warehouse, rather than having to go to two places.

BEWARE!!
I made phone call to Topmaq and asked to speak to a technical advisor. I stated that the lawnmower I was interested in HAD to be easy to use and maintain as I might not always be around to assist my wife, who usually mows the small lawn. The technical advisor assured me that this particular lawnmower would be ideal. On that basis I ordered a lawnmower on the 26th November. It arrived several days later ..... minus starter key, screws for the handle and instruction manual! Approximately a week later the missing bits arrived. The lawnmower failed to start.
As well as that the batteries were not easy to remove for recharging purposes, one in particular my wife could not remove. As a stated requirement for purchase, the lawnmower HAD to be easy operated by my wife. It wasn't. The machine was not fit for the purpose the purchase was made. The machine was returned to Hamilton Topmaq Thursday 9 December where it was checked over and found to be defective. I commented to Ethan, store manager, that my wife had not been able to remove one of the batteries, and as such the machine did not fulfil my requirements. The returned machine was declared 'returned unused'. We were offered a replacement or a 'in-store' credit. The replacement was turned down on the basis that battery removal was still going to be a problem for my wife, and that we had lost confidence in the reliability of the product given what had occurred. I was given the invoice back which stated it was in 'unused order', and that it was up to me to apply for a refund. My application was initially turned down on the basis that 'I had changed my mind'. At no point in the email correspondence did Topmaq acknowledge the fact that the lawnmower meet the stated requirements of the purchaser. I had made it clear in the phone conversation with the 'technical advisor' as to what was required by way of a lawnmower and, the information and assurance given was that the machine would meet my requirements. Just before Christmas Topmaq returned 90% of what I paid ........ 10% was retained for 'restocking'. Under the Consumers Guarantees Act, a refund is exactly that ..... a TOTAL amount of what was paid. There is nothing that allows Topmaq to withdraw money without the agreement and consent of the purchaser. I did not give consent nor agreement to Topmaq or their agents to pay less than the full refund. To reiterate ...... the lawnmower failed to meet with my stated requirements and therefore under the Consumers Guanantees Act and the Fair Trading Act 'it was not fit for the purposes' for which it was purchased. BEWARE!
The reply from Topmaq fails to address the issue of being fit for what the purchaser required .... that is it HAD TO BE EASY FOR MY WIFE TO USE AND MAINTAIN .... this ESSENTIAL aspect did NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS of the end user. The information supplied was misleading and inaccurate. I repeat that my wife could not remove one of the batteries. Therefore in accordance with CGA it was not fit for the end user's stated requirements, that it had to be easy to use and maintain.
It was NEVER a change of mind .... it was that Topmaq was unable to provide with that particular lawnmower what the purchaser required.

Amazing service
Amazing service! Received wonderful help from the online chat portal. My order was packed and ready to ship within minutes of placing the order.
Thank you very much!
I would avoid at all costs.
I would avoid. I purchased via Trademe, and chose the most appropriate shipping method ( North island, only other option was south island ).
Buyer refused to deliver without me paying a further $80, implied I chose the incorrect shipping option ( there was nothing else that was appropriate ) and communication very unpolite. Topmaq, your staff had set up the pricing incorrectly. I checked the only applicable option.
Then when I request a refund, they won't process it untill the item is returned to them. I made no error here, yet they want me to wear any and all their errors.
Atrocious customer service Tim. You should be ashamed.
Buyer, Beware.
TopmaQ, Top Service
Dealing with TopmaQ has been great, Items are as described and no issue is too hard to deal with.
I would recommend any day!
Poor service. Canvas not fit for purpose
Poor service.
Canvas tarps are not fit for purpose.
Product is a Chinese copy and the reinforcing around the eyelets is for display only.
Contacting support was difficult and when I got through I sent a photo and was advised I had put to much force on it causing it to rip. I have been using canvas tarps my whole life and unfortunately there is no other words than to call this Chinese knock off garbage.
Do not trust Topmaq!
Totally poor service in every way. Bought their biggest air compressor $699, clicked the $75 nationwide post option, then close to a week later they inform me they want another $175 postage as I live too rural for them to post it to me for the $75 already paid. When I explained that their own website says "Nationwide Delivery" their sales manager Gerard informs me I basically have to suck it up because of where I live. This is the most absurd reasoning I've ever heard from a business not to fulfill their legal obligations. Totally FALSE advertising and blatant entrapment. On top of this, the compressor arrived with different wheels that didn't even fit the machine! Ended up driving 80 min round trip to meet the delivery truck on SH1. We live in Kohukohu and have never experienced anything like this before!

Buy online Be Careful
We bought a heater online the fan is too loud for our work area, asked if we could return it and was told it would not be refunded, we would have been happy to change the heater for a lesser model and credit but NO. Crap service and policy we have never encountered anything like this before when buying online, will be letting whanau and friends know to keep away and will not be buying anything else for our business from these guys in the future. You have been warned be careful if you are buying online and can't view the product.

Good customer service but took a little bit long to respond. "......👩" is requesting some information for me which is very helpful, sorry I'm not sure who I was speaking to as they didn't introduce themselves. Hoping to hear back soon.
Easy and quick response to my query.
Respnse for chat service is great
Respnse for chat service is great. Well done.
Fantastic service
Fantastic service! Above and beyond what I expected when visiting this site for an air compressor. Really competitive pricing compared to what I found on trademe and they even matched a lower price found elsewhere and threw in some extras to honor the particular item I saw which was totally unexpected. Will shop again for any air related items I may require in the future.
Easy comms
Easy communications, and answered all my questions in a timely manner- thanks team
