Nordic electric mower
I purchased a Nordic electric mower. This is one of several Nordic tools I have. There is was an issue with the switch which Caleb at Topmaq dealt with. It's not a major problem, probably 1 in a million, however they have arranged a new switch mechanism with the supplier. Very quick to respond and very professional response.

Where do i start brought a pump from them returned it as we thought it was a preassure switch which it wasn't it was a flo switch. Was informed from a rude sexist Jim the engineer that we where going to get a replacement but then was told over messager that they wouldn't give a replacement or refund as it has been used and it was going to cost 92 dollars to get it back. So it cost us 192 dollars just on postage for a 187 dollar pump. This is so wrong. It needs to be shutdown never ever buy from them horrible people. Wish I had read the reviews they have. I wouldnt have brought anything from them. I don't know why it was sent to Christchurch they have a topmaq in Auckland. Rip offs

Replacement parts for Farmate Mister
I emailed looking for a replacement pull-start assembly for my 5 year old mister. Turns out there are some in order and Tyler will alert me when they are available.
This makes me happy - for the sake of a $30 I will be able to keep using my mister and even more importantly these days, stop it going straight to landfill.

Another plumber came to check today was told crap pumps
Topmaq are blaming installation
No instructions in box phone records will show we rang numerous times to get instructions
But a plumber of 40 years exp figured it out and now we get the blame ,no refund no replacement
Prior to you requesting plumbers contact you emailed and stated no refund no replacement
No installation instructions were provided with the 3 pumps,of which the onus should be on supplier our registered plumber of 40 years spent an hour on the phone to your techs ?? To no avail so they were installed as per his vast experience in installing water oumps
So to us 3 pumps installed different areas all cracked casings and surging prompts to poor quality of pumps ,verified by another independent plumber today
So disputes is the only answer ,why would we pay to freight back,take more photos when your obvious answer is not to support your customers

I will be able to repair the log splitter with a engineer so it will be better than new as it was very poorly manufactured and topmaq has taken care problems i had with it

I ordered the 'Ironside Fender Flaring Tool' from TopmaQ and when it turned up, I was of the understanding that the wrong product had been sent. I emailed TopmaQ & received a great reply within 1 hour, explaining the packaging & confirming this was the correct item (including photos). The item ended up being correct & great quality.

Faulty incorrect item sent, awful customer "service"
Purchased an expensive workbench from them, the drawers were faulty, and not the colour shown on the website. Response to complaint was "can you keep the wrong colour and fix it yourself, we'll give you $100" also, taking forever to get a response to email, not been resolved as yet
Poor Service
Went to buy plastering stilts and they only had a shop demo pair left. I asked to buy those but was told no because they wanted to get more sales! Even though they had none in stock they were going to get more sales...how? Asked to talk to manager and even he had this dumb approach, rather than have a sale now and replace the demo unit when more stock arrived, they would rather keep the demo unit and not have a sale !!!

Poor Service
It saddens me to have to write this, but after my visit to your Auckland branch this afternoon, and the extreme lack of service and professionalism, I had no choice. My business partner and I arrived around 2pm today looking for a hoist for the company Ute, only to find three people behind the counter, very unresponsive to help us. We felt unwelcome, and the experience was shocking to say the least. I really hope that management will address this, considering that your star rating overall is fairly good.

Within 2 - 3 months it was returned as there was no pressure.
It took about a week to fix.
1 week later it was returned. Again no pressure.
This time it has to go back to the Christchurch branch.
I was told it would be urgently looked at.
That was nearly 2 weeks ago.
Just followed up and it is sitting in Christchurch and know one knows why it was there and hasn't been touched.
Never again. Rubbish company and water aster is rubbish.
Silverback rotomold case and the pitfalls of a return...
Hello readers, I would like to warn you of business practices of this business and advise you to not shop with them, at least not, if you're not 100% certain that the product you buy is right for you. I ordered 2 Silverback rotomold cases online while they had an online only Boxing Day Sale; both were available at my local store in Dunedin and I went to pick them up on the 28th of December. One of the cases was unfortunately a little too large, so I asked for a refund in shop. I was told that this would incur a restocking fee of 10%, $40.49. Or I could get a shop credit for the full amount. I was surprised and taken aback as I had never come across this practice anywhere in the world, apart from custom orders where items were shipped to a store and then returned. As described, above the items were in stock and the case in question had rested for a while on a shelf and collected dust. No work for the shop, but putting it back where it came from. I contacted their customer service by phone to get this 'fee' waved and got asked to put my concerns in writing, which I did on the 03rd of January. I have not received a reply, nor my $40.49 back. The item I kept is fitting the purpose, but it is not of the highest quality, as it is a cheap copy of a pelican case; and you can see that immediately. The plastic has some little holes in its surface and the handles, hinges and locks are rather cheap looking and two of them are not mounted straight... not a problem for my use, but I would have expected better; especially (!!!) in terms of customer service. The young man in shop was rather taken aback when I asked for a receipt for the item returned or at least a signature of him on my original receipt and a company stamp. He couldn't provide either and told me that they wouldn't do such thing and hadn't got a rubber stamp. So I left the shop without a receipt for the return and out of pocket, having learned that even staff had not encountered any return policies like their own in any other shop in NZ. Now I am being ghosted by the customer service of Topmaq and will surely never return to this chain of Cheap Tool Merchants with a rip off return policy. But, hey, we all live and learn!
