Service is ok 75% of the time but i have encountered the following:
* Mower (electric - described as being for commercial use) failed on first use after mowing over a cabbage tree leaf. Was told if I was stupid enough to mow over anything other than grass it was my fault.
* Topmaq actively remove negative product reviews - this is actually a violation of commerce laws.
* Several occasions where products ordered have not been dispatched for over a week, without responding to emails searching for updates and reasons why.

I had a problem with my nail gun. I sent a email to the team at TopmaQ. There was no hesitation with sending out a replacement. Great service I would recommend TopmaQ to anyone.

Pipe bender not fit for its usr…
I purchased a pipe “bender” which turned out to be a pipe crusher. Even with photographic evidence they refused to refund the purchase price and let me return it.
Staff went out of their way to be difficult!!
Have laid a complaint with the commerce commission and encourage others to do the same.
Three other people were making returns in the short time I was trying to return the “pipe bender”

Service of the Shoddiest Order!
I placed an order for four items on Topmaq’s website on 24th Nov (Black Friday), all of the four items were showing in stock in CHCH. I received an email confirmation saying that they ready to collect later that day and to visit their CHCH branch on Main South Road. When in their branch the staff said that the items were to be collected from their warehouse near the airport. This was not mentioned in their email saying the goods were ready to collect from their Main South Road store. Frustrated, the next stop was their warehouse. Only to come away with two of the four items that were order, as apparently the other two items weren’t in stock. I was told to return to their Main South Road branch or call them to arrange a refund for the two unfulfilled items. I called into the store on Saturday 2nd December to find out what was going on, to be told that the accountant had refunded me. I told them they hadn’t refunded me as there were no refunds in my account. The staff then said that the person responsible for refunds was off sick. They then tell me that one of the unfulfilled items was actually in stock there at their Main south Road branch. Okay I said then I’ll take it, the staff said that as a refund had been organised (which it hadn’t as I only got confirmation by them on 5th Dec that it had been actioned) I could only be sold the item again at the normal price, not at the discounted Black Friday price that I had originally ordered it against. I told them to forget it and walked out. Topmaq have emailed me today, 5th December, and stated that they have refunded one of the items and the other one is at their store to collect. What an absolute farce!
This experience means that I will never order from them again and anyone thinking of ordering from them should beware.

I bought a lopper from topmaq, it suffered a failure soon afterwards, I rang them, they offered a refund but the staff in Hamilton worked out a fix for me which meant I could get on with the job. Really impressed by this. Well done. Have been back several times

After Sales Support
Tried, via their contact channels, within 24 hours to contact Topmaq with regards to a damaged component for a concrete mixer I had ordered. Received no response - emails to info never acknowledged, webchat unable to help (response: send another email), contact phone never answered, always got message to go to website, completed online web form - wouldn't allow form to be submitted, even after I said I was "human". Eventually got through on a 03 number. Spoke to "J" who said person who could help had been on leave, but back now; only it was unlikely he would be able to help me now as it was his birthday that day. "J" said he would get back to me shortly. Email arrived following day - advice was: 1. This is an issue with all there mixers, but with some reworking of the part I would get is to fit; and 2. Rule of thumb, turn the leg around - not possible and if it could, the entire locking mechanism would not work if this was done. Followed up with emails and to-date, a few weeks later, no response, again. Overall a disappointing outcome from a NZ Company (support local) that I have supported in the past.

Nordic electric mower
I purchased a Nordic electric mower. This is one of several Nordic tools I have. There is was an issue with the switch which Caleb at Topmaq dealt with. It's not a major problem, probably 1 in a million, however they have arranged a new switch mechanism with the supplier. Very quick to respond and very professional response.
