worked for us. My spouse doesn't have a gall bladder any more and those two days were wild and stressful. But they did great at Torrance Memorial. Also shout out to Dr. Matthew Mejia, my primary care physician who is awesome and should be celebrated. Doing it right at Torrance Memorial

My sister was brought to the ER after suffering from shortness of breath. Even though they were quite crowded, the doctor in charge did a great job of coming out to speak with her various family members and update us as to her condition. Good service is especially valued in stressful times.

I had the most disgusting experience with the records retrieval process at Torrance Memorial. My family had been using this hospital since the birth of my son 26 years ago. Having heard a lot of good compliments about Little Company of Mary Hospital, we changed hospital this year. Of course, our new found bliss could not do their job unless we have our previous medical record. So I started by calling Torrance Memorial and I was directed to download the forms to request for radiology images and reports. I presented the form my daughter filled out to the radiology department. I got what I needed but was told to go to the breast diagnostic center to get the other records I need. I was also advised to call the Polak Imaging center in advance so the records will be ready when we get there. Michael picked up the phone and was told that I need a letter from my daughter so I can get her medical records. I told him I already had the form signed by my daughter which is similar the to form I submitted to radiology. He insisted that I still get a letter and it got to a point where I need to talk to his supervisor. Michael stated that his supervisor is not available and that I would hear the same response. I asked to speak to anyone and I was connected to Jennifer. She is very calming and resolved the issue. Today, my husband picked up the images and the records and guess what he got? The very same records I got from radiology! And I specified that we need breast ultrasound that is why we went to that Polak center. Now we will have to make another trip to the hospital to hopefully get what we REALLY need. It appears that the hospital expanded and the quality of service shrank immensely. I made the right decision to leave them.

Today, 3/15/18, I called Polak and spoke to Gigi, Well, she was very helpful and knowledgeble. So I would place her and Jennifer as redeeming assets of TMMC. The hospital needs more staff like them.
