Disgraceful Service and Attitudes
Review for Total Dental Care:
I recently had a very distressing experience at Total Dental Care that I feel compelled to share. This review reflects both a specific incident involving my sister and ongoing concerns with the practice, particularly relating to issues with the customer care.
Our appointment began with confusion, as the dentist initially stated a medical instrument tray was not required until a nurse decided against this and brought one in anyway. This raises concerns with communication and the chemistry between dentist and nurse.
The dentist then warned us about an issue with the suction instrument, asking to be informed if it became too uncomfortable, which raised concerns about the equipment's functionality and therefore overall quality of care.
Our nurse (presumably) accidentally jabbed my sister's tongue with a cleaning instrument, causing bleeding and significant distress. My sister left the appointment in tears, deeply affected by the pain and fear from this incident.
Post-Appointment Experience:
Following the appointment, we attempted to discuss our concerns, particularly the injury. However, the receptionist was dismissive and refused to provide information or engage in a conversation about the incident. Her attitude was not only unhelpful but also rude. She even refused to tell us something as simple as telling us what medical equipment was used in the session!
Additionally, the receptionist displayed unprofessional behavior towards other customers in the waiting area, who were calm and not agitating. This behavior was noted by several other customers as well, who convened with us outside about their similar dissatisfaction.
Given these experiences, my family is considering transferring to a different dental practice and pursuing legal action. This entire experience has been traumatic, particularly for my sister, and has significantly eroded our trust in this practice.
I am sharing this review to inform potential patients of our experience. Professionalism, empathy, and clear communication are critical in healthcare settings, and unfortunately, that was not our experience here.
