Total wireless customer service would be better off run by 2nd graders.

I lost my phone. I provided them with all the appropriate information to prove i was me and the phone in question and account it is under was mine. All I wanted was the last known gos location of phone, something that BOTH AT&T, and TMobile have done for me in the past. They refused to do that. On top of that, just to get to be able to talk to a live person was 10 minutes of annoying virtual assistant Q&A times 2. Yes, after talking to a first virtual assistant, I got transferred to another virtual nassistant and went through the same 10 minute Q & A bull@#%$ again. They at least gave assistant number2 a different voice than number 1.

So many lies, by 3 rep's! 9/25 to 10/2

So, couldn't add the new phone onto my old $85 account, yet for another $15, TW can add 3 phones onto the "new" plan for $100, w $20 discount? ? Oh, yeah, the unlimited plan! LOL! By the way, I literally spent HOURS on the PC with these reps. ""I want to pay for my group 1 account. It is $85. Your website is asking for $85 PLUS $40 for the (808) 264-XXXX is paid until 10/31/2025.
Karen Jean – 6:37 PM
I see and I think the best thing we can do here for you to get a discount is just by having the multiline plan so that for 3 lines you'll pay $100.
Keith – 6:38 PM
Your website is asking for an extra $40 which I have already paid!
Karen Jean – 6:38 PM
I'm sorry about that. There might be only a system update or glitch, but let me be the one to process adding services on your phone here.
Karen Jean – 6:39 PM
Is it okay for you to use the multiline plan where you'll pay $100 for 3 lines?""

The Multi-Hour Time Wasting Nightmare

Once upon a time, I had a small issue. Nothing too crazy, just trying to get additional data using rewards points. It wasn't showing up on my account and in this case, I wanted reach out to customer service over the phone.

This was the worst, the WORST mistake of my life.

What was supposed to, likely have been, a simple solution turned into a multi hour, all day nightmare from hell that should seriously be considered for internal case studies. I get patched in with one rep who "promises" me the solution, only for them to screw up my call forwarding and needing me to fix everything myself so I could receive calls again.

THEN the next rep I get, halfway into the call, hangs up on me. Alright, good track record so far. The NEXT rep, claims to be part of escalations and asks me for a 6 digit pin you get via text for confirmation. I give her the number, she WAITS OUT THE 10 MINUTES then basically tells me it doesn't work. Then says she sent it by email, but cant even tell me what email that WAS. I ask to receive the text again, and get hung up on AGAIN.

So now I get ANOTHER rep, who I outright just tell flatly that I need to go beyond escalations at this rate, but he seems INSISTENT that he "JUST HAS TO TRY HIS SOLUTION". After 45 minutes of asking the dude the same, damn, thing... he gets me not to a supervisor or escalations, but TO ANOTHER REP.

THIS next rep was outright the worst and the most uncreative liar in human existence. First, he tries to tell me he's taking notes on my account (but then tells me he can't, even though he SOMEHOW got my IMEI number from a prev rep). THEN he tries to tell me that I have "NEGATIVE DATA" which is not even real considering the high speed data cuts off after 5GB and switches to their slower traffic. THEN he tries to tell me "its and outage at your area!" despite me BEING ABLE TO MAKE CALLS OUT TO OTHERS (just not others to me). THEN he tries to tell me "its because you're not on a 5G plan" even though, and looking over the plan I've purchased, that was incorrect. And then wants to do this circus performance of wanting to have me take out my sim card, so he could assign a 2nd ESIM, so I could "have my device properly activated".

Let me remind you, this is just about not getting my addon data.

I told him not to touch anything of my account because of how contradictory he was to himself. Don't even ask for a supervisor, because they will find 80 different uncreative answers to not get you one, even though he said he had his supervisor RIGHT NEXT TO HIM, GIVING HIM THESE ANSWERS.

This took place over the course of 4, god awful hours. And you wanna know what my ACTUAL solution was to this whole entire debacle? Take a guess, you probably may or may not know already.

A rep just had to submit a ticket to get my data on the account activated. Over the text chat. With someone who actually knew how to do their job. That took only 30-ish minutes.

If you don't have this cell service as your provider, I highly suggest you don't start now. Whatever Verizon did with them, completely kneecapped their capabilities compared to what they were years ago. It may be cheap-ish, but just know you're walking into a multi-hour trap if you are to have one. minor. phone issue.

Just go to Visible, just go anywhere else, because this ain't it chief.

Hidden Fees and Dishonesty —Disappointed with Total Wireless

I’ve been using Total Wireless for a while, and every time I asked them to switch me to the online system, they’d say, “It charges extra to pay online"—even though I kept telling them I couldn’t come in every month. I finally went to another location where they helped set me up online, and that’s when I found out why they kept avoiding it — they were charging me extra. I’d been paying $32–33 monthly, then $27 for the last two months, but today I learned my plan was only supposed to be $20 all along. How dare you?

I've had service with them for about 3 months. All was ok. Now I've tried to port my number to a new provider and that's when the troubles started. After over 2 days, countless jours of chats and phone calls, while they said all the info provided for porting out was ok, they still haven't released my number. Buyers beware!

Was told that my phone was compatible…

Was told that my phone was compatible to be switched from Verizon to Total, by Total.
After purchasing a plan and paying Activation Fee, my phone didn't work, so I asked about the FREE PHONES that was being offered with New Service Customers, while I am still in The Store, but was told NOT ABLE TO GIVE ME ONE, although I was definitely a new customer.
This has been a very valuable lesson because I have been without a Working phone since I switched to Total.
Wasn't financially able to pay another phone after paying for activation and plans for 2 phones, due to SSI getting funds Monthly.
I'm am very disappointed in their Customer Service Ethics and looking for another service provider soon.
Would RATE 0 STAR like my Phone service, if I could!!

This Company is ABSOLUTELY HORRID

This Company is ABSOLUTELY HORRID
1. You can NEVER talk to anyone On Shore so Imagine dealing with Representative who obviously dont save notes on the account and having an issue , I've had to explain my issue 1000x's to Agents who ask the same question and I guess go by a manuscript to resolve an issue
2. Issues never resolved, They advise as a solution to restart your phone and turn off and on the Data this should work, ok after doing that and it still doesn't work
and you explain to the agent its ok let me get you to higher up...Surprisingly
call drops
3. Mentally Exhausted , after so many attempts of working with a Company who is more focused to getting Customers but not focused on keeping them you realize they in it for a big money grab not to solve and solutions.
I would literally pay Someone to save there troubles dealing with this company. THE WORST PHONE COMPANY IN HISTORY....After you read this review and you go with it and then look back on this review ,dont say I didn't tell you.

My phone has been broke since 9/10/2025…

My phone has been broke since 9/10/2025 just stopped working. I had to go to Walmart to have my account authenticated since I couldn’t receive texts. I ordered my phone off my account on total wireless and paid for next day delivery. Well I’m not receiving my phone until sometime on 9/15/2025 I called and asked why I paid for it and was told they shipped it out as 1 day but the warehouse is responsible for it now. That they are unable to do anything because they shipped it as I paid for it but got switched to 1-3 business days. I have a deaf 9 year old who goes to school 45 mins away from home and all my information and contact is through my phone but there is nothing they can do and won’t refund the shipping fee I paid since it went out like it should have. I have been with total wireless since 2017 I’m thinking it’s time to switch to a company that cares and will ship it the way it’s supposed to be.

Signed up for the unbelievable $30-2…

Signed up for the unbelievable $30-2 line deal back in September 2024. Needed to move an eSIM to a new phone. Called them to get it done and the line completely disappears from my account. Call them and they managed to restore the number but plan starts billing at $55 and then $60 a month for two lines.

Three weeks of back and forth. They said they can't apply the original discount.

Moved to Fi doing 2 lines for $40/month.

TFW. Nice and cheap but terrible customer service.
