absolute disgrace, renewed in error and after 12 days of insurance on a £450 approx policy cost, I was penalised £190 for cancelling, I will never use this company again, extortion at the highest level, 12 days out of 365 days, penalty £190

Used the online form to attempt to get a quote. They rung me 5 times on the same day! Then next day the same until I had to block them! No email contact, no voicemails, just relentless missed calls! And now they are doing the same with texts…presumably because I’d blocked the number. Either way it felt like harassment and as such I’ll never use this desperate company. I value customer care highly and this isn’t my version of good customer care.

I had my static caravan insurance through this company….due to someone driving into it I had to make a claim…Towergate appointed Davies Group as the loss adjuster….Davies group is without a doubt the worst service company I have ever come across.I complained to Towergate about them and Towergate raised a formal complaint to them….as a result of this complaint I was offered compensation by Davies Group,which I accepted.Davies Group continued with their rubbish customer service and only paid half of what they offered….for three weeks now Davies Group have told me they have raised a request for the money to be paid to me by their Finance Dept but after been given 3 dates when this would be in my bank it’s still not there.Davies Group today told me none of these requests have been done by three different people…so I will be going through Small Claims Court if this fourth request does not result in payment….Moral avoid Towergate as they use Davies Grouo

They made an absolute mess of my no claims discount. Managing to reduce it from 4 years to 1 years, even though I wasn't involved in an accident

Very easy to use for setting up an account for my home insurance. Best quote and cover and price and the young lady I spoke with was very helpful polite and friendly definitely use them again

I am extremely disappointed with Tower Gate Insurance Brokers. I have a claim through Lewis Abbott, who are insured through these brokers, and I have received absolutely no help or support from them. Despite my repeated attempts to get assistance, I have constantly had to chase them for updates and information. Their lack of responsiveness and poor customer service have been incredibly frustrating. I am now preparing to escalate this issue to the Ombudsman, as I see no other way to get the assistance I need. I would not recommend Tower Gate Insurance Brokers based on my experience.

I have had the worst experience with this company , cust service staff turnover is weekly , I am on my 4th member of staff, they all then ask for same info to be sent over on each change of staff , no communication - no escalation as requested, no ownership. When buying product - competitive is great - however the bones of a good company is how you are treated when things go wrong , as things seldom do- believe me this company gives you the run-around , my initial request for refund started in April 24 - we are now in July almost- Absolutely appalling service

Caravan Insurance - Both my parents passed away, I notified them and was added as a correspondence person on the policy, when it came to renewing/starting a new policy, layla would not transfer the info from my parents policy to a new policy for me, stating information act, even though I had already been through all the security questions and was named on the account. Really unhelpful in difficult times and I will never use the them or recommend them in the future.

We cancelled our policy because we sold our caravan. A return premium was due. I was assured it would be back in my account in 10 days. It didn't arrive. I called back and was told something had gone wrong and it would be with me in 3 days. It didn't arrive. I emailed customer service. They didn't respond. Do not trust this company

Cancelled my policy as it had gone up too much, they took the money from my account 5 days early (i cancelled on the day the took the money out). Was told on the phone it would take upto 60 days to get the money refunded. This is absurd, what possible reasoning is there for it to take so long to pay you back? Disgusting, pay people their money back asap!

I had a 1-year policy with them and paid the whole year's amount. The duration is not over yet, and I had asked for a refund 2 months ago. Till now, I haven't been refunded and have been told "It doesn't show up in our monthly statement and blah blah....".

They told me that each month, when the monthly statements come, my refund would be shown and I would be refunded. I asked them after 1st month, and got told it is not shown in the statement. I asked them again in the 2nd month, and got told the same thing.

The advisor was fantastic! Great People Make Great Organisations!

Towergate are the best insurer I've had to date, great service.

This is my third year using Towergate for my Business Public Liability Insurance. Advisor was exceptionally helpful explaining the changes to the policy with clarity in an easy to understand way.

There’s clearly some potential here, but it’s buried under poor communication and inconsistent delivery. I walked away more annoyed than satisfied.

Don't bother Disgusting Appalling, Took Driving Instructor Insurance with this company, paid for the full year, unexpectedly bought a new teaching car, called to do a change of vehicle, I expected to pay more, but the additional price was astronomical, almost double. Appalled!!! But it just got better. I had paid £400 for the year and had only had the insurance for 2 months. I asked how much I would get back if I cancelled, and the reply was £75. The worst of it was that he wasn't even joking. Honestly, I'm so angry that I would rather go to a reputable company and start again before continuing to deal with bottom feeders and put this down to experience, 19 years dealing with ADI insurance, and this is the first time I have been unhappy with a broker or insurance company. After hanging up I sought out other quotes guess what...... HALF THE PRICE to insure the new car.!

Avoid at all costs. Been with this company for 10 years 5000-6000 a year no claims ever. Made a claim in November 24 and just been messed about ever since. Really not happy I’m considering legal charges against them.

Absolutely appalling service - after being a client for 16 years I will not use them again.

I have been trying to unsuccessfully renew my company insurance policy premium with them since 9th April - their "portal" didn't work and wouldn't let me login to renew, they didn't answer the phone on three separate occasions nor call me back when I left messages, they also didn't respond to four separate emails from me asking to be contacted.

Even after eventually getting through and escalating to a manager, it wasn't resolved, eventually the policy lapsed and they then made contact to refer me to their New Business Team, who quoted me £1,000 more for a new policy than my previous renewal!

After refusing to pay this figure and complaining, I was put on temporary cover whilst they looked into it - I then received notification that my temporary insurance would be cancelled unless I paid the full amount of £3,200 (£1,000 more than my previous renewal) - another four weeks of chasing them I have finally got a discount, but it is still more than my previous renewal.

Absoloutely shocking treatment, avoid like the plague.
